  • Welcome to the Loopy Pro Video Manual
    In this fifth video of the series, JP shows us the built in effects, and how to add both AUV3 plugins and effects, the difference between Pre and Post effects and using the bus and send system in Loopy Pro.
    This is a series from both myself and A Tasty Pixel to provide a guide to one of the most expansive and comprehensive Looping app.

    One of the best things about Loopy Pro is these videos -- just the right length for me, clear & informative. Thank you.

    Loopy pro is wild! I’m not using it so much these days as all my preferred plug-ins are on MacOS only. Looking forward to getting stuck in again when the Mac OS version is released. This video manual series will be invaluable as a reference for me then. Thank you!

    It's interesting to see all of the Loopy Pro features that I've come to take for granted as they're pointed out in your video. Really looking forward to the canvass video next. That's where so much of the magic is.

      Certainly is.. that’s the video I’ve been itching to do right from the beginning cause it’s the most unique thing about Loopy Pro. Almost unlimited possibilities.. gonna be hard to knock this video down so it’s not like 3hrs! Hahahahaha

    "Up and running as fast as possible...", got that right! Sheeets!! Dang, I wish you could see where he is putting his finger or the cursor on the iPad. Maybe slow it down a bit? I am NOT a geek and I see great potential but, how about getting back to 45 RPM's...

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK

      That’s fair enough. With TH-cam there is a way you can slow down the video player so I’m not so ridiculously fast. Sorry about that.

    Thanks for great tutorials. A couple of questions. 1. Do you notice any kind of latency if you loop with Loopy Pro? Say I want to play acoustic guitar -> interface -> iPad -> Loopy Pro -> interface -> PA/amp. Does it feel immediate or do you sense any lag? 2. I want have acoustic guitar -> interface -> iPad -> and here I want to apply EQ/IR/Compression to the acoustic guitar track, and also add a drum track from Logic Pro or Garage Band, and output the guitar and drum to separate outputs on the interface -> PA/amp. Have you tried anything like this? Again, any latency issues?

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hey 👋
      when using an audio interface, no, I don’t have lag or latency.
      the effects must be compatible which would be AUV3 plugins.
      you certainly will be able to output to separate outs if your audio interface has it. 👍🏻
      and again no latency issues from what I have used.

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK

      Unfortunately not without lag. There are a few systems that can give you really low latency like Aiaiai Wireless + and CME Pro are working on iWA but nothing is zero lag. Audio interface and something like Aiaiai would be your closet match. Hope that’s helps.

    I have an effect (BLEASS Slow machine) on a channel and it’s just not doing anything. How do I get it to work? Additionally trying to map Koala FX to my midi controller.

      Oooh.. that’s a good question. I don’t own Bleass so not sure why it’s doing that. Michael is now doing a series of Q&A’s on his channel to partner with this series. Maybe head on over to @atastypixel on TH-cam and ask there. 👍🏻

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you say exporting, do you mean exporting the loops with the effects on the mixer? You will have to record the loops in the sequencer and then export that, or use the built in recorder and record each one separately, especially if you have effect tails and delays. Go to the sequencer and record video here: th-cam.com/video/tmJ4n7zlBKM/w-d-xo.html

  • @SuperMartin223
    @SuperMartin223 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Ok, here’s a dumb question. Is the output to play your loop done via Bluetooth? Or what? Not even the Loopy Pro online manual covers output. Not exporting, but to play it.

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No worries. The output as in the main output will be sending to the speakers. Now, this depends if you want to to be outputted to a Bluetooth speaker or if you have an audio interface connected to the iPhone or iPad, then the audio will go to that as it should have an output for connecting to speakers.
      Hope that helps.
