Just installed the Pioneer platform on my FJ Cruiser and can't rave about it enough. So much functionality and use of attachments compared to the rubbish OEM rack. Not the cheapest on the market, but worth it!

Mine came with a cross threaded bolt on the backbone weld. Now I’m stuck with a half complete build.
I would like to get a rack on my van camper ford transit connect 2013…would like to be able to sit on the pioneer rack and also put up and roofing ramp for some shade.

I've purchased the platform rack , backbone kit and rcl legs all separately. I didn't get the m6 bolts to attach the legs to the backbone castings. Could you please tell me the length of the m6 bolts so I can get some from my local hardware?
how to secure all that from thieves when parked outside though?
What about keys. I’m sure the keys are not universal. Is there a way to rekey so I don’t have 10 different sets of keys to figure out how to unlock my gear.

Sure! It's designed to be mounted in the Pioneer Platform extruded channels, but we're sure you could custom mount one on a bed rack really easily!

You are going to want to go with the VORTEX cross bar set up or a bigger Pioneer tray. But the weight should be no prob, at 264lbs

Well, that's not entirely true. You could leave it installed, and just not open it when the Platform is installed on the roof. Rob will be testing the fitment of the Sunrider with the Pioneer Platform to see how well they work together and if the platform could be moved back slightly to allow the Sunrider to open.

I've been looking for a sturdy roof rack for my new JT, but I do enjoy removing the Freedom Panels; am I able still do so with this style? Obviously I'm concerned about damaging anything

The price on Rhino-Rack website for the rack and legs is $1399. Quadratec is even selling at a discount to Rhino-Rack's price.

I know i had to catch my breath when i saw that price. Manufacturing and shipping costs does not even come close lets be honest this is more brand driven for that price.
I don’t recommend Rhino rack at all. Their off road load rating is terrible
Are you sure we are talking about Rhino Rack? Their STATIC load is over 700lbs and their DYNAMIC load is 264lbs. How much more do you want? and more importantly, how much more can YOUR rig handle on its roof??
@@jcs5202 there’s been a fair of bit of scandal over this system in Australia this year regarding their downgraded off road rating.
@@jcs5202 offroad, on a jk, is about 170lbs. Yes dynamic is 264lbs but people often miss the off-road rating which is reduced even more. Even then. Rhino rack is ahead of its competitors
My Jeep has a max 68kg roof weight limit, so take away the weight of the rack, then take away its off-road rating....there's not much left. Might as well get some cross bars and call it a day.

I have this same setup and I couldn't be happier with it. Only thing I didn't like was the price but spending less = getting less.
Expensive. But I just talked them down to $1350 at the East Coast Overland Expo. Couldn’t pass that deal up…
@@Wrangzilla did you get this exact size (48”x56”)? Also did you install it in a gladiator? If so, were you able to retain the use of your Sirius satellite connection? I asked because the antenna looks like it’s now covered by the platform. I went with the 36”x56” for that reason but still haven’t received it yet.
