    You ma’am are the only video around meetings I could keep my attention to!!! Great job! I love how personable you are

    One of my favorite books is The Facilitators Guide to Participatory Decision Making by Sam Kaner and company. Great tips!

    Claire Hughes Johnson did a wonderful job of explaining a meeting format and she does it in the context of “ a meeting “ .
    One issue we all face is who should be in the meeting . And how do we address some personalities that are more difficult in meetings .
    Very worthwhile review of “ how meetings can be run effectively and efficiently “👍👍

    Great point about us humans having to form relationships with each other. When I'm facilitating meetings I often do an activity where people can get to know each other a little better. Cheers!

    How do people feel? Tired. Being in meetings or running them are DRAINING. We try to place them all on a single day, so we can recover from them, and get our actual work done. They suck. Full stop.

    Sorry I dont understand the "we are going to nominate your idea into the parking lot" what does it mean? something idioms / expression

    • @Americanheld
      @Americanheld 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It means setting that idea aside for a future meeting, since it isn't related to the agenda topics for this meetings. It keeps meetings on track without dismissing the idea.

      Are you speaking to you team to know if they feel the same way ? Maybe it’s time for the meeting to be reviewed ?

    I hope Claire sees this cause i am calling her out on a an article she wrote about her interviewing people at google and how she only looked at self awareness.
    What makes you the worlds foremost expert on WHAT exactly self awareness is!?? Stop trying to enlighten us when everyone has a slightly altered variation as to what it is. I see now why you no longer work at google as a near top dog. Must have been draining trying to be right eh???
