Thank you for the overwhelming love and support I have received. Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve all this love, so thank you for reminding me why I do what I do, and who I am as a person. Sending everyone who is struggling or not struggling so much love from my heart too. Thank you for being here❤

Dang this really resonates with me. I just finished my Masters in landscape architecture with a bachelors in plant science....so I thought I would be the perfect candidate and I've still been struggling to find a job. I've been feeling like something is wrong with me and like I'm falling behind while everyone else is finding jobs. It's very hard specially when everything suddenly changes right after graduation....It feels like you got dropped off in a desert after being on a travel bus. But we all do have our own timing. We also have to look at the full picture. Even thought it's taken me longer to find a job, I was also one of the few students who had a consistent job throughout the program and therefore I also did not have time to prepare my portfolio and resume until after graduation. I think post graduation is a great time to self explore. Life is a long journey, and in the grand scheme of things this is just a short window. The important thing is to not give up trying. Figure out your position and desire in life and then execute with confidence and you will be on your way to forging your path to a happy life. As long as you keep moving forward, it is inevitable that you will find opportunities.

Thank you so much for such a heartfelt comment Hector. Yes, I do feel like after graduating it's normal to feel completely lost, especially for people who has a drive to do something. It is a phase and hopefully it will pass soon for you. Keep going and believing in yourself!!!

Thank you for such a nice comforting comment 😊 I'm sure it will pass and I am just going to trust the process! It is nice to know that we are not alone in these times :)

I'm exactly in the same boat as you, Glory. I graduated in July and since then I've been applying to architecture firms for a part I placement without any success. I know that my portfolio is strong as I received multiple positive feedbacks from the companies however, the problem is that no one is recruiting or Im not the right "fit" for the company. In the meantime, a few of my friends from the architecture course are already working as Part I and that makes me feel hopeless about my future and undervalued. It feels tough because I put so much effort into the course, my portfolio, job application, managed to get a First, yet here I am struggling to find a job. A really good friend of mine advised me to trust in the process and stay calm so that's what I have been doing the past few weeks whilst applying for jobs here and there. Life is all about overcoming obstacles and challenges, and they make you grow into a stronger person. So I'm just patiently waiting and keep trying and trying until I get my first job offer. We can do this!!

This is exactly how I felt and you captured it perfectly, Tobilol! Yes, I am happy we can find comfort in the similarity of our experiences and we will definitely learn a lot about ourselves and get stronger through this process. You're right, we can do this and I am wishing you the best of luck as well! :)

Hi Glory, I just found your channel and the part of you crying really resonated with me. Thank you for being brave and putting this out there, it really helps to know that I’m not going thru this alone and that a lot of people are experiencing this. I saw you got a job, I’m excited to check out your journey and hope I get a good result myself soon.

I'm studying architecture as well and can understand your feeling! May be joining some competition can build up your portfolio and help you distract from the job hunting stress. Love your work and I'm sure you will find a job soon!

Hi Glory, I am in a similar position to you now. I’m graduating from MArch soon and I really don’t know what I want to do after, career wise and even where I want to live etc. It is really comforting to know that others feel the same as me, so I hope you are comforted by this too. And remember that it is ok to feel sad and stressed-this is a huge transition in your life. Don’t get too down on yourself for feeling completely natural emotions!

Thank you so much Giulia! It is really comforting to know a lot of people are going through the same thing and it's nice for all of us to comfort and give advice to one another :) I am trying to validate my feelings too and just be kind to myself as well!

    Hello Glory,
I saw your video and it really evoke lots of emotion in me and gives me the real insight of what a life is. I am in year 13 and cannot really relate to you but I am planning on applying for architecture and seeing your previous video was very helpful and supportive. However, I do have some experience in applying for jobs as I did applied for many jobs after GCSEs and each one just rejected me and after months I just gave up but one day when I already started my year 12, I got an email and they offered me to be a english and maths tutor.
Now it's been 4 months since I am working as a tutor and I am soo grateful for this job as it brings me so much motivation and enjoyment which I might not have gotten if I went for the other customer service jobs which I was applying for at that time.
so I would just say that stay positive and you will get something a lot better!!

Thank you so much @NIDA Asghar! :)) Yes, I think my university really did not prepare me for this reality and it hit me like a ton of bricks, so I am really grateful I have a loving support system around me. I am so glad that your job is working out for you and you find a lot of fulfilment from it! And thank you also for your good wishes 😊

Hi Glory, it’s sooo upsetting to see you crying there just want hug you and let you know all will be ok. You’ve gone through massive changes of routine and living place. Job hunting is and can really tough been there many a time regardless of if had 1 year experience or 20 years. It probably even more difficult living in city like London as the city and peoples lives around you are going on fast and you your life Is stationery. If you need reach out Glory, please do so maybe can give some pointers on job searching etc.

Please don't give up! Things can change in a matter of days. I am feeling the same at the moment but in the field of law. Applied to several firms for legal practice while doing my course but no one replied and those that did refused me. So your video resonated a lot with my situation right now.
