“We payed money to be depressed? I could have done that for free.” Priceless. This made me laugh harder than anything all week
As someone on the job path, imma tell you right now there is nothing i've encountered so far that is even half as stressful as school was for me. Adulting can be scary and a little confusing but also so much simpler than older generations make it out to be.
i think it’s also comparative like older generations are like “you think school’s hard? wait til you get into the workforce…” but like… school is ridiculously harder and more competitive now??
Y'know, the happy music juxtaposed with existentialism is really doing wonders for my anxiety.
"What keeps me going anyways? i don't know, some parts are nice" goddamn it, if this isn't right. And it isn't grandiose experiences either but the small collection of things that catch your attention somehow only because they make you feel something so familiar and unrecognizable at the same time
i just graduated university 3 weeks ago and looking for a job rn is so difficult. i feel like I'm competing with thousands of other people for the same positon, which I am and idk. my peers who are ahead of me in life told me it took them months, even up to a year to find a career and it makes me so scared because I feel like I have this pressure on me to immediately find a job since I just finished college but I know its going to take time. school was always a pain for me so going to grad school isn't something I wanna do. now that I got my bachelors in english/sociology im hoping to find some decent work in the coming time. my degree is very broad but damn that post graduate depression do be hitting. thanks for this video, im glad this came up on my feed in a time of confusion
omg i feel the same way! I graduated about a month ago with a degree in sociology and it seems like everybody around already has a job or they already planned the next step in their education. I haven't had much luck with jobs and am considering a part-time job at ulta since my brother said to get a retail job to get my feet wet.
@@hannah-vv9ru i feel you fam! im currently working right now so I'm not too stressed but eventually of course id like to make my degree worth all the time, money, and tears I put into getting it. thing is everyone is on their own timeline so try not to compare yourself to them and what they're doing. i compare myself for competition to see what I can be doing better but besides that were all gonna be in different areas. the best thing I like to remind other college graduates is that we already have what we need to succeed in finding a good job, we just need to give shit time and put effort in looking. i wish you the best of luck and if you wanna talk via social media I'm here for ya since were in the same boat LMAO
I recently graduated in 2023 (technically Dec. 2022), and I honestly feel this. I really had no clue what I wanted to do with my life when I graduated, and I still don't even a year later. I'm basically just trying to figure it all out at this point. I decided not to do graduate school because I kinda got sick of all the homework and stress associated with being a student. So now I'm essentially stuck in a huge predicament. My mom even seems like she is a little upset with me for still working the same dishwashing job that I had while I was in college.
This is 80 percent of graduates. You were defrauded by society.
Either look for a job from ur major, assuming it wasn’t a worthless major or get a better job. Dish washing is not something you’d want to say u did ur entire life.
@@dannynav2 I know that dish washing is not a career. My problem is that I just don't know what specific career path I want to take. My degree is in mathematics. I needed a break anyway with how burnt out I was when I graduated.
@@joemacy2776 accounting/finance is ur easiest path, at least you’d get paid more and ur degree is flexible so could always do something else with it
I'm the same I'm still figuring out what I want to be. I noticed that I have never really wanted to do my major as a job so now I need a new purpose. I recently started teaching and I started to like it. I'm not sure if this is what I would do for the rest of my life but I dont think we are really meant to do one thing for the rest of our lives. With time we will figure it out, so give yourself time and focus on your wellbeing. I neglected my wellbeing so much I ended up being burnt out. Wish you the best
Oh to be a squirrel scurrying around in a satisfyingly edited TH-cam video ✨
we are all just squirrels… curiously inspecting and scaring away the camerawoman that is God
Each path will have it's pros and cons. I picked door #1 and I found that it's harder for me to meet new people and keep up with my friends. With a stable job though I find I have more free time to pursue my hobbies and enjoy life in general
btw your videos are really good! Been following since journal video :) Keep on making new content!
thanks so much for the encouragement 🥹💗 and for sure - I’ve definitely heard how hard it is to maintain a social life while working vs being in school! just another one of those big hurdles to go through
Do what you like to do. Usually you do this because you are good at it. The more you do it, the better you get at it. Develop three things you are good at, for example writing, deep knowledge in a specific subject, a second language or project management skills. Opportunities will then arise where these unique combinations of skills sets you apart from others. This then becomes the foundation for your career, and will take you around the world and through tough times which inevitably come. It will also keep you in a job for 40+ years.
Sruh tan, Thank you for not making this video bone chllingly terrifying but instead a happy what to do guide/you are not alone/do whatever you want and fits and that telling us that everything is going to be ok.
I recently have been wanting to find something to help me sense I’ve been emotional lately this video really helps I’m graduating this year and honestly it’s not easy but it will be worth it to go into the next chapter of life I’m probably going to go for school again sense I’d like to continue my education
At least you are graduated AND in Canada. Much better condition than other Asian especially women oppressed in muslim countries.
going into college and im already anxious about things years ahead of me. this helped though :) great editing
First time viewing your videos. Just wanted to say your writing, narration and filming are great; keep it up….take care.
I did the get a job route and discovered i was completely not ready to do this for the rest of my life. So i looked hither and yonder till i got a scholarship to go back to school for a second undergrad. Its pretty good but the dread of what ill do when its all over sometimes gets to me, but whatever...right?
What's your degrees in?

Quick proof that God is real: if there is a building that you see, but you don’t know who built it, then the logical sense is to assume that a builder built it, and it didn’t just show up out of nowhere. If there is painting, then that’s proof that there’s a painter who made that painting even if they have passed away a long time ago. So, if we have creation- Earth, the sky, grass, flowers, animals, us, etc, then isn’t the logical sense to assume there is a creator?
Have you ever used God’s name in vain-like a cuss word, lied, stolen, hated someone, gossiped, lusted, etc(see more in the 10 commandments)? This is called sin and we’ve all done at least one of these. Now, sin is basically doing something against God’s will. Now because we have done something against His will, it’s good to note that He is Just. A JUST judge wouldn’t look at a guilty criminal and give them a non-guilty verdict for what they’ve done. And if the Judge is Just, they wouldn’t let the criminal go if they had said that they had done something Good. Our actions are way more serious and cannot be paid off of just because I did something Good. (So good works cannot save us) This is exactly How God is! He’s so just that He looks at us, and He has to send us to hell. Scary right? But HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS!! Usually, there is bail- a payment that someone can do for a guilty criminal so that they can be set free- legally. Now here’s JESUS, who is GOD and takes our place for us THROUGH DYING ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS- to basically pay off the price that sin created. See Romans 6:23, but here’s what Jesus did: John 3:16, Romans 4:25, 2 Corinthians 5:21 AND
Romans 10:9-10
If we believe in Jesus and repent (turn away from sin) then we will be saved from our punishment. But we must continue this relationship with Jesus!
See there’s something wrong with your own logic. If a building was built and you don’t know who built it the reason why it’s logical to assume that a human did is because we have seen it before. All of the earth was not made for humans, in fact the only popped up very recently in the entire timeline of Earth. We have not seen a human build any of it so it is illogical to assume that a human like entity would have- instead we have biologists with studies showing how small molecules in the right temperatures and conditions have come together to “spontaneously” create the basic molecules of life.
I’m studying to become a neuroscientist and I have my degree in biochemistry. If you actually look at life with a magnifying glass and forget what everyone has been whispering in your ear, you will (hopefully) be able to think for yourself and discover that there are holes in the god argument and what you have been thinking.
Good and bad are a human social construct and unfortunately it doesn’t exist in the pure physical universe. I know it may be hard to understand right now but the reason you and many other believe in god is because it gives you a sense of comfort and peace that someone is “looking after you” and that there’s somewhere you can go after life. In reality our entire brain shuts off when we die and the mere electrical signals leading up to our death no longer create what it means to be us (our personality and intelligence and our unique brain signature created from the environment and genetics).
In modern science we know there is no soul and we know there is nothing close to what the Bible’s and religious books say. However, that is not to say that we are alone. Everything happens for a reason (or else the world would be chaos) and it’s not- it’s an incredibly complex interconnecting web of information and action. So think for yourself and if you really allow yourself the freedom to question, you may end up finding something that will change your life for the better.
