    I wish you would review outdoor car covers. I spend 5 months a year up in the White Mtns of AZ without a carport or garage. It is so confusing and frustrating to get facts on car covers. My big worry is hail damage to the aluminum hood & roof of my 2010 BMW Z4. Trying to determine the cover with the best protection (padding) is almost impossible. I would trust your reviews and comments over random "verified purchase" comments and reviews that we know can be fraudulent. Keep up the GREAT work, I recommend you to everyone I can.

      Thanks! It's important to let my viewers know that a coating isn't necessarily "dead" just because it doesn't bead anymore. If the coating was properly applied, and properly maintained, and is still within its durability claims, it's probably just "clogged" and need a good decon wash.

    Great video Pan! Really shows the need for consistent maintenance on these ceramic coatings. They are NOT completely set and forget products. You still need to do regular maintenance!

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Absolutely. There's not such thing as set it and forget in the detailing world. Traffic film alone will clog any protection. So maintenance is key. The protection is still there, but you need to help it achieve its max performance level and durability.

    Glad to see the Adam's Advanced Graphene Coating is doing well. I ordered their kit to put on my new car when it arrives, so I was hoping it would keep doing well. The car won't be a daily driver, but I'm still looking for something that performs well. Had CarPro CQuartz U.K. 3.0 on my previous weekend car, and really liked it, but wanted to try something different on this new vehicle.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That would be correct Shea. Grime and traffic film often mask the properties of any type of protection. But it's most noticeable on ceramic coatings due to their far superior hydrophobics, as soon as those are masked, the effect appears amplified.

    I use the same maintenance routine on my adams advanced Graphene coated M3. Graphene shampoo, detail spray, and tire dressing, it’s a great product line, I’ve been very pleased with the hydrophobic properties. I have a few high spots in the coating primarily on the ppf on the hood that I still have to polish out and reapply the coating. Maybe you can do a video on how to correct high spots on coatings. Might make people less fearful in applying coatings themselves.

    FYI, The wheel barrel brush can scratch the paint on wheels if the rubber or plastic tip at the end of the brush becomes dislodged while using, the back and forth motion while cleaning can cause the tip to catch either on the brake rotor or the metal shield behind the rotor to knock the tip off- happened to me once, never again!

      Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on TH-cam as we surpassed 750,000 subscribers and are getting close to 100 million views! I have been detailing for 25 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers.
      You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
      If you have access to water to wash your car, here's my car wash tutorial: th-cam.com/video/7Koj5j2Es5U/w-d-xo.html
      If you don't have access to water, but can fill a bucket with water in your apartment, then the next best thing is to use a rinseless wash method. Here's my tutorial: th-cam.com/video/RP_BZ-jZBnY/w-d-xo.html
      Cheers!

      @@PanTheOrganizer thanks for the reply. I’ve been using a rinseless wash, since I discovered this channel. But I made a mistake of taking it to a car wash before and now have hairline scratches and swirls. Was looking into putting some kind of protection on the paint, but not sure how is the best way to go about, since buffing out those scratches outside might not be ideal and I haven’t really used a buffer before. Any suggestions on how to tackle the situation when working outside with the elements??

      @ktes85, I’m in the same boat and could possibly offer my two cents. I plan for a good weather day (cloudy/overcast) or work towards the evening when the sun isn’t directly affecting my vehicle. I just recently installed this coating on our SUV and ended up “borrowing” a friends garage while they were out of town over the weekend. I’ve been detailing cars for over 15 years now specifically out of an apartment and it always involves a little bit of weather planning.

    I recently read that throwing the ceramic in the fridge before using helps in warmer weather conditions. Cold ceramic = longer working time & easier to remove. What do you think?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most proper operating temperatures for coatings are 15C (59F) to 25C (77F) for optimal application. So I personally never heard that cooling them down to fridge temps (4C or 39F) is a good idea.
      What is important is to avoid working in direct sunlight. But yes the warmer and more humid conditions lead to faster flashing. The colder and dryer the environment, the longer work time you have.
      I always work at 20C (68F) in my garage. Perfect conditions. 40-45% humidity

I distinctly remember that panel shared similar beeding to the painted panels of the car when it was applied originally, I guess its bonding has faded on that lower trim area? It depends what caused the loss of hydrophobicity. Reset alone can't always restore that. Reset is more of a weekly maintenance shampoo, to prevent traffic film buildup. If you already lost hydrophobic properties, there could be many reasons and variables to consider. Mistake in the installation? Bad prep? Bad batch of product? Clogged wax?
      You have to test different options and see. There is no miracle solution. Try Reset, and go from there.

      I have applied this coating this February. It's doing great untin now. Like the 1st week. I am using Gyeon ceramic detailer as a drying aid on every wash. I can tell this is a fantastic "combo".

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You would use a drying aid if you are using a microfiber drying towel to dry the surface. It acts as a lubricant between the surface and the towel, thus preventing marring on the paint.
      I use a blower to dry the surface on coated cars (most of the time) so no drying aid is needed. The hydrophobics of coatings make drying super quick with a blower (car dryer, leaf blower, etc) as water flies off. When the car is dry, all that is left is to apply the topper, like I did with Adam's Graphene Detailer in this video. That product could also be used as a drying aid if you're towel drying.
      I hope this helps!

    Pan, I use a paint sealant when I follow your steps in detailing my car. Is it OK to use an iron remover during my maintenance washes like you did in this video? Thanks.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t use an iron remover on a weekly basis. But once every 3-4 months yes it’s a good thing. By that point it will be time to reapply a fresh layer of your paint sealant anyways.

      Hi John!
      I did a Chemical Guys video a few years ago here: th-cam.com/video/dwycbtuxFr0/w-d-xo.html
      They do offer good products, but you have to know which ones to get. They have waaaaay too many products in my opinion. It gets confusing for the buyer. Nobody needs 20 different spray detailers, 25 different shampoos, 15 different waxes/sealants, heheh.
      Also, in their category, there are brands that offer better products in my opinion. Like Meguiar's, Turtle Wax, Adam's and Griot's Garage.

      @@PanTheOrganizer I appreciate the response. I have always been an amateur detailer and am OCD about my vehicles. I thought I new what I was doing when I ran across Chemical Guys and became obsessed with their stuff. As I got deeper, I also noticed too much hype and too many tweeks to try and get you to buy the next best thing. I did end up Ceramic coating my truck with the Carbon Force and so far I do love it. I put the Hydro Slick on my wife's and honestly, cannot wait to put something better on it. Not that impressed with it. I am all about doing thing right the first time and hate when I find something better, and did not realize it the first time. I live in NW PA with very harsh winters and salt similar to what it appears you go through in Canada. So again, I want to protect my vehicle. My biggest confusion now is how to maintain the Ceramic coating I put on and what are the true maintenance steps. Can I put another or better/different product over the last or does it have to be completely gone and worn off before next coating? Chemical Guys has you strip, then clay then ceramic, then seal, then a wet butter wax on top. One of your videos talks about not putting any wax or sealant on top of the ceramic. I am big on followup maintenance and I agree, taking the time to clean and detail my vehicle is therapy for me. So I want to do it correctly. I am sure I will stumble upon some of your other videos that might answer some of my questions. My son is as obsessed with his vehicles as I and I have already sent him links to your stuff. Thank you again.

    Hi Pan, can you use the shampoo degreaser and iron remover on a car coated with Adams H2O guard and gloss. Will it remove that product? Thanks

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to say as I haven’t really tested those products on the H2O and haven’t used that product in a while now. Many years ago. It’s not as chemical resistant as a ceramic coating that’s for sure so if you see diminished water beading after the decon steps, just reapply a fresh layer.

    Hey, Pan. Do you have any recommendations for maintaining the Ceramic Coating if one like myself only have access to public car washes? I always wash my car myself, but since I live in an apartment, I don't have access to flowing water and hence I have to use public car washes. Most of them don't like the idea of us taking buckets and using them since they would lose money this way.
    Great video by the way.
    Thank you!

    Can you use the Adam's graphene shampoo for maintenance? My vehicle is brand new do i need to clay and polish the vehicle before doing the graphene coating? I do know they used some kind of coating before delivery

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s important to fully remove any previous protection before applying a coating. That includes machine polishing as it’s the only way to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection.

    Pan- Adam's advanced or 3.0uk? I did 3.0 on my last car and it was fantastic. New car comes in next week and need to purchase between the two.

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CarPro is still my favourite consumer grade coating. It has always lasted 2 years in my testing, spot on with its durability claims. However, most new coatings last way longer, at least on paper. I still need more time with this Adam's Advanced Graphene Ceramic Coating, as it's still fairly new to the market and nobody has had the chance to test it for 3, 4 or 5+ years yet.

    I was going to give this a shot but have seen seen people complain about having difficulty with streaking or it being uneven? Is this just a user error and this product is difficult to use if you aren't an experienced detailer?

    • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s not the easiest coating to apply, but not the hardest. It’s still a consumer grade coating. If you take your time to prep the surface well and follow the application instructions, you should be fine.
      Don’t work in direct sunlight and apply to cool surfaces.
