Man, when I learned you were doing this arrangement in this way, I just about lost it... that dense vocal harmony just works so well with this tune. And of course, every other orchestration element you threw in, haha. Awesome.

That intro was so good that not only did it make me shiver down to my core, but all these high school memories of me playing fire emblem with my best friend and the feelings associated with such came flooding back so severely, I literally just burst out crying. Like the deep abyss of those feelings no longer being there just made itself out to me in that moment. It didn't last that long but I don't think I've cried like that in a long time and when you guys sang out "You are the ocean's gray waves..." at the start the apparent absence of all those feelings I've missed for quite a while, that this song reminds me of, just hit. You know you're really making something good when you can move someone like that. Good job!

I really love the sound of the Flugelhorn in this piece, that and the harmony vocals are sublime. I just proves that real music is still alive out in the world, and that there is not just computer noise.

Actually now that I've finished listening to the whole thing, I noticed that the lyrics you used for your rendition of Lost in Thoughts All Alone follow the Birthrights version, just curious was this intentional? Would absolutely adore a version that cycles through the Birthright, Conquest and/or even Revelations lyrics. Of course that's not say I'm disappointed with the omission of the other two version lyrics, the piece is just as amazing as it is!
I'm usually pretty down on the English version of the lyrics to this song; Nintendo tends to prioritize maintaining literal meaning over a pleasant flow when they translate lyrics, so you get a lot of syllables that fill the notes in awkward ways that make it really difficult to perform. That said, even with the odds stacked against you, you guys knocked it out of the park, as always.
This a amazing arranging and recording. I am a HUGE fan of Accent... but one small idea. Instead of saying "in the style of Take 6" .. which Accent clearly honors but .. Accent HAS it`s own signature sound.. which caught all our ears and attention in the very beginning! And Take 6 is very aware of Accent and their stunning sound .. so.. just my one complaint... but REALLY stunning work C Rosen and lovely production and I can`t wait to hear MORE!!!!!
So my primary metric for if a cover of this song is great is if the cover fixes the Japanese to English syllable-mashing of the original. Y'know: "Youuuuuu are the oooooooCEANSGREYWAVESSSsssss" Drives me nuts! And of course not only did you fix that, but the overall production and quality is phenomenal, as I've come to expect from The 8-Bit Big Band!
I've always liked the original tbh The syllable mashing never bothered me, except two parts "Withe as a bone" "Hard as a Stone" I wish they went for "Light takes the throne" and "Dark seize the throne" like AmaLee did
Fates will always be my favourite! To see it in big band is an absolute treasure. My greatest gratitude for the hard work and effort into making such a fantastic piece.
