    Great video on these boards.
I have those inflatable boards from Costco, you’re right when you talk about being able to take more abuse, as I have been to several lakes here in Arizona, including Lake Powell and into Antelope Canyon from the lake 😍 (you guys may want to try this one). Having a lighter inflatable board made the difference taking it down and up that hill at Lake Powell Marina 🥵

Thanks man! Powell is a massive item on our bucketlist right now! how was Antelope Canyon? We actually bought 2 kayaks specifically for that trip but we havent been able to make it happen just yet. 2023 is gonna be our year for that trip :). They wont be the easiest things to get down to the marina, but luckily we made carts for them :)

I would probably advise against trying to use a cart on that steep hill.
Public ramp does not touch tge water anymore, last year it was probably 20ft from the water, this year it was at least 50ft from the water. There is a way to get down to the water to the left of the ramp, it is steep, and soft sand/dirt. Just take your time, watch your footing and you’ll be ok.
Antelope Canyon from the Lake is awesome! Just be ready to get really dirty, last time I was there there were some flooded sections. Always an amazing experience, highly recommend 🤟😎

@@bobbafett7407 good to know. Can you drop off at the water and drive back up? Our kayaks are close to 80 pounds 💪☠️

      Omg! That’s heavy! 😳
Public ramp is closed for launching but open for car traffic. They recommend you drive to the end of the ramp, take your kayak/board down to the water, come back up, drive your car to the public parking lot, then walk back 🥵
Since I have a SUP, I park and get it inflated at the parking lot and then carry it all the way down the ramp and down the hill.
I have seen people carrying kayaks down the hill, mostly those 2-person kayaks.
Another option, if you want to avoid going up and down that hill is to rent a kayak from the rental company down there. They already have the kayaks by the water.
Also, it seems like there is a tour company/service taking people into Antelope Canyon from the lake. Such service seems to be new as of this year (2022), so, chances are you’ll see people by the end of the water in the canyon. Fortunately they do not seem to venture too deep into the canyon, you’ll see why (don’t want to spoil it for you 😉).

@@bobbafett7407 Yea they are monsters! We bought them to haul our camping gear. Im glad that we can drive at least part way down. That would suck to be exhausted before you even get started! Thats good to know about the shuttle! Depending on the lakes conditions, it might be helpful to drop directly into the canyon. Thanks for all of your your help! Im even more excited about this upcoming trip :)

We have both types. Inflatables win hands down. Even in performance it is line ball.

Why does the inflatable win hands down?

  • @Annon89

Just for advice to anyone gettting blown around on an inflatable I just stow my paddle and lay down and paddle like a surf board. Usually works pretty well especially to get back to shore if the water gets choppy and hard to stay up on.

    You're holding your paddle backwards.
