Thank you for this comparison. Some useful insights. I have had a hard paddle board for quite a while. I was under the impression that an inflatable was slower and more cumbersome (I did have a go with a cheaper board and really didn't like it). I recently bought a high quality touring inflatable. OMG, it is amazing. So solid, fast, lightweight and durable. Night and day from the old bath tub that I tried out. The one thing I do love is the ability to hike into a location with my deflated SUP in it's pack with paddle and pump etc, and experience paddling some beautiful remote locations with nobody else around. I could not do that with my hard board. It is great to have both options now.
