    I totally want a coaching session- found my super power after 33 years of searching literally around the world for where I fit in....that was 2 years ago and it's been an emotional roller coaster... loving every minute of it :) Thank you for all your work and outreach...it is sooo needed, especially in schools. It breaks my heart thinking there are kids out there not knowing where they fit in, I know what it's like to be lost for so long, the pain, hopelessness, anger, suffering, frustration, embarrassment...it changes you deep inside and it's hard to turn back time. I feel like no one saw me for 33 years...24 years of of dozens of teachers, counselors, therapists, coaches...and no one saw me. Every child deserves to be seen and I appreciate you noticing.

    Barton program was the key for me! All dyslexics are not the same ... A lot of it was from negative verbal abuse ,physical abuse that I grew up with from toxic parents ... Ur subconscious gets programmed from words ... I'm speaking from what I went through ... I'm healing and achieving all my goals now rewriting the subconscious brain .

    • @NishanthaU
      @NishanthaU  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally feel you on that! I’ve heard so many stories similar to that about soul crushing experiences at schools for dyslexics. A lot of the time dyslexic kids just put into special education program tracks early and stay there. Heard great things about Barton btw. We have an amazing dyslexia community you should join and share your story and experience.

    That explains why in the work place or school I struggle at first like a lot, but as I keep doing things or studying things I become really really good at them.

    Thank you for this man, growing up I was treated like I was stupid and being called dumb by my family. It made my self confidence so low they didn’t even realize what they were saying to me. It has caused a lot of hurt over the yrs, and I would blame myself like “why can’t I read correctly, why does is effect my speech too, why am I so dumb” til this day I still think that way .. bc my family just never believed in dyslexia, but seeing this video made feel so many thing. 1, it made me believe in myself that I’m not stupid and 2. That I am capable like any other human, I just need to learn a different way then others. I’m still struggling with it today, it still effects my speech and my typing n writing n reading. So it gonna be a long journey how to get better at it, but I’m willing to put effort n trying to understand how my brain works.

    Thank you for making these videos. it teaches me a lot of new things.
    Recently I started reading. I tried it in the past and it failed every time. I'm from the netherlands and I could not read dutch books very well.
    Five weeks ago, I did go to a library and picked up a book written in english. It worked! I figured out that I can read that much easier.
    So for everyone who is also a non native english speaker like me. just try an english book. maybe it works for you to.

    Hey Nish, I recently read into ADHD and I think I might have it. Seeing the symptoms was one of the scariest things in my life because I feel they describe me very accurately. I was tested for dyslexia and looking to get done so for ADHD too. How have you been coping throughout your life knowing that you have both?

    Hi Nishantha - at the end you mentioned 'workflows' and these specific tools. What exactly are 'workflows' and could you give some examples of which tools you use e.g for maths? (I know in a separate video you mentioned the use of audiobooks - is this the type of thing you were talking about...)
    Also - could I please be entered into the competition!

    • @NishanthaU
      @NishanthaU  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dyslexia will come to be seen as super power. We are in a more digitalised word. Every brain is different. I am happy and pleased to be dyslexic.
    It is discrimination from the neuro majority that causes harm to millions of dyslexic person.
