@@sunnyganim6727 Last gen a 3070Ti offered better performance difference compared to a 2080, and it cost 20% less. Now with 4070Ti you get less performance uplift, but for 15% higher price. Overall, there is a 40% price gap between what the 4070Ti costs, and what it actually should cost.

My RTX 3080 12GB overclocked/undervolted card makes about 10 fps less frame rate in average than the RTX 4070 ti, for me it is too expensive for that little upgrade, if the RTX 4080 would be in the same price as the RTX 4070 ti, I would instantly buy one...
Turn on frame gen and it blows out a 3090.

recently upgraded from a 960 w i5 to a 3080 w i9 and its crazy to see how advanced games are today I had no idea
Its the same how when people went around 2016 from nvidia GTX 900 to 1000 series, then to RTX 30 (cause 20 line wasn't that much) and now a 4070ti is in my country cheaper than a 4090ti, yet is just a bit under it in FPS terms. It beats the 3080 by miles, and is cheaper too. But I'm a fan of the 7900 XT more.
Games move forward, GPUs do too, but I guess at some point I hope it becomes efficient, cause I don't want to use a 2000W PSU
not advanced, devs are getting lazier and lazier optimizing their game. Just throw bunch unoptimized shit, then they force you to use DLSS. boom low fps problem solved. Thats why sometimes game look like complete shit but runs so heavy

They're obviously taking advantage of it being a new product and the MSRP means nothing.
Depends on where you are. 4070 ti for like $50 over it's $800 MSRP in the US aren't hard to find. 3080's are usually more expensive than that new. So it's a no brainer here.
Where I live, the 3080 Suprim X costs $50 less than the Zotac RTX 4070Ti Trinity OC, the obvious choice to recommend is the 4070ti

I've been saying this for years. Performance-per-watt has always been my top priority. I remember a few short years ago, people would constantly say that they didn't care about power consumption. Give me a card that consumes all the power in the world and give it to me at a good price. Now all of a sudden... people really care about efficiency. What kind of person were you a few years ago?

For real I struggled so much building my first pc deciding the components.
My budget wasn’t the problem so after deciding and comparing I’ve gone with the 4070 ti.
Best decision ever. With the i5 13600kf I get like 140-150fps is qhd and 80 fps in 4K.
I’m so happy I made this decision and really recommend this gpu to everybody who’s thinking which parts to get.
But If your budget is tighter so with the 3079 ti.

Yes 750watt is enough for a 4070ti. I have a 3080 on a 700 watt and the 4070ti pulls less power than the 3080

But as I pointed out in brackets, it would be interesting to know what performance this card can give in conditions when the memory bus is heavily loaded (high framerate (the higher is better (that's why i chose cs:go)) and high resolution (4k)) compared to 3070 ti. That's interesting not only because 4070 ti have 192 bit bus by itself, it has a memory bandwidth 20% less than in 3070 ti. There have never been such strange decisions from Nvidia, all 70 cards received the same 256 bit memory bus and the same or higher bandwidth every generation.

4070 Ti is beast even at it's ridiculous price. I would never buy a used mining 3080 over a brand new 4070 Ti with this huge uplift. Not to mention DLSS3 and future improvements/support.

I'm shocked. The price of the 4070 Ti sucks for what it is, but the performance is crazy good. That's a 192-bit memory bus card annihilating GA102. Nvidia made some epic gains going from Ampere to Ada Lovelace.

Yup, the Ada Lovelace cards are ridiculous. I have a buddy whose 4090 never goes above 65 degrees or so, and is quieter than his case fans. And I hear the 4080 is a apparently even more efficient than that.
But yeah, the fact that a 192-bit memory bus card, which should be hobbled by that, is outperforming the venerable 3080 is some wild shit. Look in the Forza Horizon 5 benchmark. 3080 was running at lower FPS at 302W while the 4070Ti was pulling 226W.

@RicochetForce everyone is complaining about prices but it's very impressive....mines the same way. At 4k 144hz my pc sounds the same as it does at idle...only time anything ramps up is if my 7950x decides to go nuts

I got the Ventus 3X OC Version of the 4070 ti and it looks absolutely beautiful in my case, but it gets quite hot. At completely stock it hit 80c in Hogwarts legacys opening scene, which is very demanding. With a custom fan-curve and not TOO loud fan-noise it stalled at around 75c, but only with undervolting I now brought it down to about 70c at max load, without losing performance

good gpu but my 7900 xtx was 1000 and runs forza at 4k 110 fps and everithing at 144 in 1440p prices are ridicluos now 1300 and above for resellers in other hand 4080 and 4070 ti are in storage waiting for people to buy them
Technically there's no GPU worth it for 4k gaming except the 4090 (unless we're aiming for 60hz/fps slideshow at this age).
here in europe, rtx 3080 is 800 euro and 4070ti is 900 euro. to be honest you get a solid chunk of extra performance for 100 eur more, so the 3080 looks like a bad deal, considering the 3070 can be had for 580 eur.

Bought a used 3080 for like 600€. Take a look at the used market if you wanna save some money, otherwise brand new definitely get the 4070ti. I personally think the 4070ti is just too overpriced, and is only slightly better than the 3080. I wasn’t willing to pay near 1K€ for that kind of performance, id expect to get a similar performance to the 4080 for that much of a money..If you are afraid of getting a used GPU, you really don’t have any other choice unless you buy an AMD card.. a 6800xt, equivalent to the rtx 3080, costs new around 600 bucks.
Either way, both the 3080 and the 4070ti should keep you running new games at least until rtx 6000 comes out.. unless you wanna max out games at native 4K.. at that point just get a 4090.

My 3080FTW3 performs insanely better than the 3080 in this video even at stock speeds, but it is also an OC beast at the 118% power limit firmware upgrade.
So like 5%...at an extra 150w. You realize you could power a moderately powerful gaming laptop with that extra power...
You clearly have zero knowledge about overclocking properly if you think it only provides a 5% gain. The particular power consumption reference only made the lack of knowledge more apparent..
@@cdieseldawg5850 Sorry, an average of 4-7% (stock bios stock coolers) if we are wanting to be more accurate. I've been in the game for 12 years now, from a GTX 480, 680, 780sli, titan x maxwell, 3060ti and now a 4080. I know very well what overclocking is, how to do it, and the tangible benefits it can, or cannot have. The FTW3 may have been the fastest 3080 that came out not counting aio models, but their power limit was just straight up unnecessary for the boost it gives.
I've had good overclocking cards (my titan x maxwell got a whopping 12% in synthetics) but i've had poor performers too. My 3060ti gets maybe 3% and my 4080 is lucky to see a 5% boost.
I've also tried exotic methods of increasing overclocking gains from $400 Audiophile power cables from psu to wall as well as $1000 power conditioners. Every little bit has it's own effect. Temps surprisingly aren't even the biggest limiting factor with most newer cards as long as we are still talking stock bios and no shunt mod.

Yeah the price difference is not worth it. I also got a 3080 recently and it was used but in good shape for $550. We got good price to performance and the 3080 will last us a good while
Got mine for $420 barely used not even a year old still got 3 years of warranty I’m not worried about getting a new card anytime soon

Nvidia has really worked on for the 4070ti, those temparatures are crazy for a gpu that powerful and the gpu power is amazing i expected for it to get like 310w maybe but the price... i would get the 3080 if i was on a budget BUT i think someone who is planning to buy a 3080 could afford the 150$ more price of the 4070ti. But if you can't afford it go for the 3080

Simply put the cost per frame didn’t improve. Think of this as the 40 series are also 30 series. All the 30 series cards below $700 were good buy. So buyers purchasing gpu now are in the mid cycle. Next gen 50 series there will be big improvements like 30 series after the 20 series.
The vast majority of Ampere buyers got their cards nowhere near MSRP until very recently. Some of these games had an improvement of nearly 50% over the 3080.

For instance I sold for gtx 1070 for $300 end of 2021 which I had purchased used for $150 in 2019 december. I paid $580 for 3060Ti then so effective cost of aib 3060Ti was ~$400 which is same as msrp. People who got 3060ti for $400 got the best deal but as you mentioned they were few. The real loosers are who didn’t had a gpu and entered into pc gaming as they overpaid.

You're wrong. The majority of buyers had to pay way more than the MSRP for the 30 series making them nearly as costly as the 40 series. So cost per frame did improve.

got my 3080 for 650$, while this costs over 1100$. I guess I am keeping my 3080, as I only play at 1440p ultrawide.
I ran into some articles not so long ago stating that maybe a lesser version of DLSS3 could be soon unlocked for 3000 series , i also have the 3080 and that could really be a nice addition, i hope it will come true
Got mine for $420 basically new still under warranty I don’t gotta worry about a new card for the next 3 years + easily not to mention as the previous person just stated a potential dlss3 coming to 3k series cards
Considering 3080 cost the same as 4070ti in my country, the decision is pretty easy XD, less power used for better performance, win win.

game optimization is trash af, with RT on most card cant reach 40fps, 3080 is one of the few that reach 50s, and the 4070 TI is almost at 60, and only from 4080 and above u can get 60fps with RT, 3090 TI gets around 45s

Because 4K is extremely taxing. That's something like 8 million pixels to drive.
Because Ultra settings are extremely taxing. A lot of these settings in Cyberpunk are run at a level of fidelity and coverage most games don't even bother with.
Because Rayytacing is extremely taxing. The realtime simulation of light, denoising, all the calculations and bounces, etc... are difficult to run.
Dense, complex cities are taxing to render, especially if those buildings have interiors.
And you're complaining that graphics cards are struggling to run such a burner higher than 40-50 fps? Come on now.
Because it's a good benchmark / tech demo but a really shitty bland game , thats still lacking many features

I am testing from few days RTX 4070Ti at 4K and I'm pleasently surprised how well this GPU works at 4K. If you turn on DLSS and decrease some details all games with RT Max are smooth. I will add i have never execeed more than 10GB VRam, usually at 4k memory utilization is around 8GB-9GB with DLSS. Comparing to my former RTX 3070 performance increaed about 50% at normal rasterization and 70% to 80% with RT an DLSS enabled. AT 1440p my CPU I5 12600K is bottleneck for 4070Ti and GPU utilization is very low and FPS are the same indepedent from resolution but for budget 4K gaming 4070Ti is very good if you don't need always play at max settings!
What brand do you use ? Does it get extremely hot ? Is it overclocked ? What about the noise ? I hear people saying they run almost silent ones.

To upgrade from 3080 to 4070ti are not worth it..but if u start from zero..yes it is worth it..
Frames/J seem to be +50% for the 4070 ti, both tested at stock as shown.
In Europe new Rtx 3080 range from 977 to 1690€, RTX 4070 ti range from 950 to 1190€. Used 3080 expensive as if they were new mined or not.
If only prices and availability were better...lucky you who are in the USA and can buy new ones. Used ones seem not to be an option if you take into account performace/watt or performance/$ (in other countries are even worse rational option to buy expensive used or scalped). Used Cards should be sold under MSRP but also cheaper according to performance ratios... Althought upgrading a PC with any 10 series or more powerful, it'll only make sense for proper 4K gaming but moreover for pro use like rendering, encoding, etc. or needing the efficiency and performance for any reason (tunability for undervolt and TDP limits it's also interesting topic because it is possible to beat any Apple Mac M1/M2 for a fraction of the price).

@@simracingchannel7691 which cpu and ram do you have? Your case needs both high frequency and good resolution. What resolution options do you have in the VR? What's your current performance in fps and resolution?
You can test max fps on your current setup by lowering postprocessing and resolution to find what's the maximum your cpu can deliver. And then see if 4070 ti is the answer or you need a litttle more 80 90 or 7900...or maybe a cpu...
@A L P R5 3600 with 16GB DDR4 3200mhz. The headset has native resolution of 4320×2160, i can run it about 40-50% of that with low graphics settings to keep it at 90hz/fps.
If i would get a better gpu i would also get more ram and a R7 5800x3d.

@@jameel5747 if you trust the used seller, buy used. This generation xx40 gpus are extremely awful value for money. I'd honestly recommend waiting 3-6 months and see if any prices drop, and if they don't try to get a used deal.

4070Ti to cenowy następca RTX 3080 przy jego rzeczywistych cenach a nie tych wymarzonych w 2021r. Spiderman dziwnym trafem potrzebuje ponad 10GB Vram mimo że tego gra nie okazuje. Na RTX 3080 12GB wersji nie ma takich dropów wydajności n
