Hi Jeannel! I’m planning on interviewing vegans who have to share the same households with omnivores and meat eaters. Please let me know if you’re interested being a guest or audience. Thank you ☺️

Being vegan takes a lot of will power and determination. And I think having these kinds of recipes will surely make one's vegan kind of lifestyle easier and healthful. I'm subscribing from now on as I see most of the dishes have ingredients that are easy to find in the local market. My daughter & I have been experimenting on tofu and veggies dishes for so long now. And it's really great! :)
My favorites here are the nilaga -- which my family calls 'boiled dinner' -- and the laing. When I was younger, my mum would go buy billions of fresh leaf bundles at the Asian grocery store on the Friday, and we'd spend Saturday cutting off the centre stalks... the residue would make my skin itch like crazy! The rest of the day was for drying the leaves out in prep for cooking it Sunday night -- but it was worth it, because it was so damn good! Anyway, thank you for your recipes. As a mixed-Canadian (Filipino/European) millenial living in one of the most multicultural cities in the world (Toronto), I'd found it so easy to eat vegetarian/vegan dishes from other cultures, but not necessarily my own. Watching your channel has helped me connect back to my roots (well, half of them, anyway 😊) on my own terms. So, keep up the good work, and I look forward to the next video! 👍👍👍
Autumm Dottir wow! Thank you as well for sharing your story. Very encouraging to hear! And wow that’s amazing that your family dries taro leaves for Laing. That’s Astig! 😃
Everything looks so good! I haven’t had a chance to try many Filipino dishes yet (I’m Thai, living in the US), but had a Filipino friend who asked me about vegan food to make for her dad. This would be helpful for her, and I want to make some to try too! This is awesome. Thank you
DreamingTata VeganMama yes please feel free to share the video to your Filipino friend, I’m glad to help! Also curious to see your creative spin on the Filipino recipes. Please let me know how it goes 😄
It will be so awesome if you have a Vegan or Vegetarian Filipino restaraunt. I am so glad to find your channel. My vegan and veggie friends are astonish of your vegan dishes.
Thank you! Tried being vegan a few years back but was too expensive so I stopped after 2 months. But your channel will hopefully help me try being vegan again without allocating a lot of budget for food. Salamat
I’m glad I found this. I’m not really great at cooking, thank God this is easy. It’s difficult to be a vegan in a home that isn’t. I really need to make time and effort
OMG!! you just solved my problem... I just turned vegan and im going home to Philippines as a vegan for the first time on December and Im already panicking on what to eat and where to eat. you just made me realised how many pinoy foods I can veganise. I wish you have the recipe for the dishes that you mentioned.. thanks for the video. im subscribing
The people here on the countryside sadly don't even know what Tofu is. Great to see that people in the cities are requesting more healthy food, resulting in a greater amount of available healthy food.
Im glad that i found this channel Its very helpful to me since i am practicing vegetarian. Thank you so much My favorite is laing. J lov all the dishes in your videous.

One of my goals in 2020 is to go vegan again. I hope this time time, I will never stop. It is not easy to be vegan here in my city Iloilo. Vegetarian and vegan restaurants and products in the market are limited and really expensive. However, this video is really a big help. Thank you so much! I hope you could make easy and inexpensive vegan snacks as well. More power to you. 🙏🏾💌
Salamat! I recently took a class with an Ilonggo chef and learned that you can veganize KBL by taking out the pork and mainly use jackfruit :) You can also make Ensaladang Langka. I hope those tips help. Also the videos here are for you to use. Please feel free to explore :) More power din!
Hello! I'm so happy to have found your channel! The past few days I've been preparing myself because I'm planning on going vegetarian next month. I really want to change my diet & lifestyle for health reasons but a part of me feels a little dread. I was afraid I wouldnt enjoy my food and end up not sticking to plant-based meals because I'm so used to Filipino meals that are mostly cooked with meat! But watching your videos makes me so relieved, grateful, and happy because now I dont have to miss out on my favorite childhood meals anymore! Thank you so much for your recipes! Please keep doing more lol! ❤😄
So sorry for the late reply. I am so happy that you can relate to my story. I used to also feel the same way and feared that I might have to give up the food of my childhood. In the process, I thought of making my own vegan versions. I hope you find the recipes useful. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and I will try my best to reply more promptly. Take care!
Corsario Suicida I’m afraid we won’t be flying people to the Philippines, but if you’ll be here in Manila anyway on those dates, then you can have a chance to win 😊
Hi! how do you check if the product is vegan po? I'm a bit concerned sa soy sauce etc. kasi may ibang companies iba sila mag operate, hope you notice this, thank you!
Karyll Valmores hello! Sorry for the late reply. Yes I double check the ingredients list just to be sure 😃 With soy sauce, you can buy the brand kikoman if you’re worried. Hope that helps!
Hi some vegans avoid oil for health reasons, but other vegans don’t seem to mind. Oil, except lard, did not come from an animal. So feel free to use or skip .

Hi Jhon, sorry for the late reply. I hope that helps! ☺️
@@shannenlibres2365 So sorry for the late reply. I didn't see this until now. You can use Vegetarian Stir-Fry sauce. There's one brand, Lee Kum Kee, that carries this at most supermarkets.
