    It's not as easy as Kyle makes it look. He's an artist!

    Nice Job man I've sprayed years with those aps, do you like the carlisle gun better? Thinking of switching over. Also I read your link on another video with that allegro mask I've been searching everywhere to find something like that so thanks for that. Keep making videos there great...cheers

      We like the carlisle gun a lot better than the fusion AP. We changed out all of ours now to the ST1.

     @Kyle & Son Spray Foam Insulation Hello. My concern is about having roof sheathing between 2 vapor barriers, the closed cell spray foam and the tar paper and shingles. I thought that would create a situation where you would get rot from moisture not being able to escape or more importantly dry rot from being too dry. What are your thoughts on this?

    What about when you go to sell the house and it's impossible to inspect the sheathing from the attic because it's all covered in spray foam and the Bank won't give you a losn because they can't see the state of the roof.

      Tell me the name of the bank that won't approve a loan on a house that has been insulated with spray foam. We've been doing this for 12 years and never had a customer call us and say they can't sell there house now that it's been spray foamed. We also spray foam many new house builds that have multiple inspections done by the bank during the building process. This would very quickly reveal itself as a problem if the banks had an issue with it.

    Hello, can you tell me if it is realistic for a migrant to get such a job? My husband used to do this kind of work in Russia. If it is possible, what kind of salary can a migrant expect?

      I'm not sure about migrant worker rules. There pay should be the same as anyone else, unless there's a cost to the business for hiring them.

    How do you get by the code with only five inches on the roof deck? My local building Inspector wants r49. That is like 7.5 inches, right? It just seems extremely inefficient to require more than four inches of foam.

      Our code here is r-49 as well but if you can get r-38 to the back of the top plate then you can go down once tier and r-38 is acceptable. I agree, r-49 with foam is overkill but the inspectors what what they want!

      A lesser R-value of foam is so much better than a higher R-value of fiberglass.

    What’s the cost?

      Cost really depends on each project and the price of materials at the time of the project.

    Looks like insulator. Spray your walls in one pass, save some time and $$ 🙂

    Do you have any problem keeping the roof and walls warm enough to spray and is the foam mold proof?

    • @KyleSonSprayFoamInsulation
      @KyleSonSprayFoamInsulation  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No real problems with keeping the substrate warm enough to spray. We use a winter blend foam for the cold months and will preheat with a kerosene salamander on the colder days. Closed cell foam doesn't hold moisture and it's not a food source to support mold growth.
