    Shit when did he start riding? At age 3? He looks like a mini professional up there.I mean of course he doesn't have the same skill and seat as an adult simply because of his size, but he does incredibly well for being so tiny. There's people that are two or 3 times his age that can't do that well.

    It's just amazing how a boy his age, who wouldn't have the proper developed muscle for that kind of riding, CAN even sit there and do that, whether or not the horse did everything.

    This little boy's name is Sungjoon. He is 9 years old and he is a Jumper in Korea. he is not riding to show off he is riding because he loves horses and he has passion for horses. He is training hard and working hard to become a better rider. He is competing in shows. This video was taken while we were in a family trip to Germany. I didn't see this video until 6months after it was posted. Please do not write rude and hurtful comments here. Thanks for complementing.

    Great horse! The horse is definitely doing all the work, but you've got to give the kid some credit for staying in the saddle and somewhat stable while jumping 4+ ft at his size and age.

  • @amberandfoxy
    @amberandfoxy 12 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The way the horse responds to the smallest of movements suggests it is very sensitive to commands. The horse is also very tender about its movements and how it clears the poles. Perfect for a child really :)

    I think that your son is amazing and a wonderful rider. He should be an inspiration to every nine year old, every rider, and every person out there! He's so young, and he's obviously worked very hard to reach his dreams. I can honestly say that at 14 years old, I cannot jump the way he jumps. Please always remind him just how awesome he is.

  • @SilverBreeze1048
    @SilverBreeze1048 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Honestly, that is just about the confidence of the kid, whether he was scared about jumping that or not, and telling the horse where to go. The horse jumped it himself, with the right distance and jump. Sure, the kid had a great seat, and that is amazing at such a young age, but the horse did most of the work, he just had to have a confident rider. So well done to both the kid and the horse (:

    i love this, watching people ride point and go horses... i find it funny that these people think they can ride when in reality it's just "go horsey" and the horse is trained to go and when it spooks or bolts or refuses or develops bad habits or something, it gets sold because "mommy's not happy". seriously. and for you guys commending this kid on his "bravery", don't. he's not doing any of the work.

    Chill out everyone. It is NOT your decision wether or not this kid can ride this horse. If his parents are okay with it I'm sure he is just fine on that horse. And you know what? Bad things can happen to anyone. Not just this kid. If the trainer is letting the kid ride this horse (which the trainer would know best) I am sure the kid isn't in anymore danger than anyone else riding a horse.

    I don't understand why people are bagging on this kid...if you actually ride, you would know that it takes much more than just sitting there to jump at that height let alone canter. I don't care how well schooled a horse is, you have to be well schooled to do what that kid did. For a seven year old, that's pretty damn impressive.

    i dont understand why people put negative comments on here. no one knows exactly how good of a rider he is, which to me he looks amazing to be able to jump that high. good riders make it look easy and just because you might not be jumping that high and have been riding longer than hes been alive doesnt mean your better than he is. some just have that natural riding ability. personally i think everyone should be impressed by how well he rides this horse and how much hes accomplished. i am!

    He had more than just a nice seat and confidence. He was clearly turning the horse, and not just pulling on the reins, but the way the horse turned, you can tell the kid set up the turns and turned him nicely. He also was able to ask for the correct leads (get the horse turning) during the jumps. That's a lot more than just a nice seat.

    From what we can see its a quiet horse but the kid is doing all the work - he's riding it in a rhythm, he's keeping the jump in the canter & the horse soft, he lands, bends, rebalances...he's a very well educated and keen little rider. If they have "more money than sense" then so does every elite rider the horse industry revolves on people looking up to. Talents one thing but there's no way round the expense entailed in being good enough to ride at the top level.

  • @sstarnes28

    Jumping a horse correctly is more than just pointing a horse toward a fence and hanging on. The kid is making some tight turns, he's rating the fences correctly, and except for one lead swap, is completely in control of his ride. The concentration and discipline needed for this type of jumping is usually beyond a child that young, so kudos to this little wunderkind.

    I was just being honest. And my opinion still stands. Not saying you're a bad horse owner, just giving you a tip. You are lucky to have a horse with lots of energy, they are the ones that tend to do it best in dressage and jumping. But having a horse like that also comes with a great responcibility. Because they will never stop running and never give up, many misunderstand it as them "loving it". So it's very important that you don't make them sick of working for you.

    The interesting thing about well trained horses (advanced), is they typically don't ride well unless you know which buttons to push. That young man did an amazing job, he never nailed that horse in the mouth once with an unsteady hand upon take off or landing. And no daylight between him and leather over those big fences, well done.
