I think this game plays the more the better. I have only the first expansion. I will reluctantly play this at 3, but the more you add, the more fun this game gets. So many prisoners to round up, to start and the crowding of the Cathedral is just hilarious. Also, the game doesn't drag on a lot longer because of more players because you can plan most of your turn while the others are playing because their actions don't hinder your choices. It's not like those games where you can't plan because by the time it gets the you again, the market is completely new, for example.
Love the game. Glad I backed the KS and got the play mat. Not a fan of having the black market card, the replacement tile (at least it's dual layer) and the side board. Will probably replace the CE insert with something 3D printed that has removable trays for quicker setup.
This is my last game of the West trilogy that I have yet to play, I’ve read the rules and will get it to the table this weekend. So far I really enjoyed the other two with Paladins set as my favorite. I’m looking forward to trying the new South Tigris trilogy…. Thanks for the review!

South Tigris series will just start with boxes the size of the CE boxes. Those boxes should also hold expansion content from the start.
