I've been driving a BMW X3 with Continental RF tyres for 12 years. I can't take them any more! It's like 'where's my suspension?' The ride is HARD. My partner's new Kia Sportage has such a soft ride. All tyres are close to replacing, I will go to normal tyres with an inflator.
If I order an NX it will have the run flats taken off before I drive it out of the dealership. I will get them to put proper tires on and a spare in the rear.
Don’t think most dealers do that. Yes, you can replace the tires. No trunk space compartment for spare unless it’s left on top. Probably also buy an inflation pump.
Run flat tires are the bigest unfair way to reduce weight on a car. For me, and probably everyone else it'll be something you have to worry about every time you drive and who wants that ??? Yes it may help Lexus to claim 0.0001% better fuel economy but certainly not better for the consumer...
I am the type of person who will buy a full size spare with matching factory rim. Then I don’t have to worry about driving less than 50 miles per hour for only 50 kms. That is Not convenient.
Almost didn't buy given the run-flat tires. I can swap them out after these are worned out I guess. No spare but I have an inflator kit already. Thanks for sharing.
Very informative. In the future, please don’t take so long to get your points across. Thank you 😊
Thank you! Will do!

Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure I will go RFT when the OEM tires wears out. I already put an inflator kit inside the trunk also.

Bullshit with these flat runs, its about saving money. They don’t put some to save $$$$
Run Flats costs more per tire than conventional ones btw. They save on the spare tire and rim only.
I will never buy a vehicle with run flats. No thanks
