In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Defect. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. 100%. Videos often lose a lot of tension because you just no they're gonna win, so looking at that situation I was like "Oooh how's he gonna get out of this one!" and then he just... didn't. Restores that tension! It's awesome

I do love that he showed us his failed run. It makes everything so real and reminds us that The Spire is not kind even with godlike player like Baalorlord

I think mixing Prismatic with the relic gives you an extra card each fight would make it great.
"Get an extra card reward each fight from another class".
Now it no longer removes potentially synergistic cards (because you get your normal class rewards), but adds potential fun ones.
I'm not sure if it would be more powerful on average to get a 4th card reward from the same character or a 4th card reward from a different character.
@@jacobwansleeben3364 Part of the idea is to make it compatible with Question Card.
If you can't figure out if it's more powerful than another option, objective accomplished: relic is balanced compared to existing ones.

It really sucks when you have a great deck throughout all 3 acts and then that happens. Been there cried to that 😢. But it was still a great run. Thank you for sharing a defeat on YT I always felt like it was my fault somehow whan a great deck didn't get me the win. So I see now even pro players can lose to an awesome deck.

Please upload more failed runs. That would make watching these a lot more exciting: currently it's like watching Columbo: it's fun, but you know he will eventually catch the killer. You could make it instead into Game of Thrones (well, before the final 2 seasons): it's fun, plus you don't know who will survive.

No, what Prismatic shard needs is to add the ability to choose any number of cards from each reward

He's talking about brotato, a game he plays often at the end of streams. The game is a wave based auto shooter. It's a good turn-brain-off game, and streamer is a character class you can choose.

Rune crown is F tier get one extra energy from what oh only one Joyce at card rewards what are you gonna say next ectoplasm is good I respect the clause in poison, but you’ve stepped line. Also, the heart is better than slime boss take that don’t you and Decca aren’t that bad they’re just a little simple, which is what boss needs some time also slime is a good boss but it’s not the best or anything else or you should try to fall down fall

nah sadly, only cards seen in rewards and shops are upgraded by the eggs
Nope, it doesn't effect cards that are created during combat.

Hello World is such an awful card: it really should have a better upgrade and be 0 cost. Even with double Sentries it still fails to shine.
If it started 0 cost, and it created upgraded commons when it was itself upgraded, then it would be acceptable.
