    Never a good idea to run a pressure washer without water connected to the pump, this is what lubricates it.

      You're wrong oil is what lubricates the engine the water is just an add on piece

      @dreechino3492 I’m well aware of how oil works.

    Next video how to replace the water seals on the pump I destroyed running it without the water supply hooked up.

    Ho there, nice video, have a question, on that Generac Washer, my water inlet nut is loose, lost the thread, how can I change it..?

    • @pilgrimsgarage
      @pilgrimsgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      That I’m not sure of. Let me take a look at mine. Did you say it’s the water inlet? Is that where you hook up your hose correct?

      Buy a different brand... these generacs are full of cheap die cast aluminum threads... connected to disimular metals...an over 80 year known way to create corrosion.

      @@Unknownfortoday uh, I think you’re referring to the starting fluid. Generacs always have a shut off for the fuel. I had the fuel off but I still wanted it to fire. My bad…I misunderstood you. Sorry 😣

    Hello i have one of this same model.. but its leaking gas from the cap... I check the gasket and is good... any advice?

    • @pilgrimsgarage
      @pilgrimsgarage  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thegermany30 that sounds like it would need a new cap? I’m not sure without looking at it. It could have a small crack in it. Fuel is very thin and can find even the smallest hole to come through. That’s is about the best I can say to try.

    I have the same power washer, last year I had to tear it CD apart clean everything before it would run. Now again after following all the recommendations in storage, once again it’s nit starting. Of course once I use it, it’s out away for 11 months 😂. Hate that machine, I want to get an electric one. I just don’t use it, my wife likes a clean house.

    • @pilgrimsgarage
      @pilgrimsgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I totally get it. I like the gas powered ones because they’re more powerful but the electric ones are so much more reliable.

    mines cut off in 3-5 seconds when i pull the trigger, how can i fix it ?

    • @pilgrimsgarage
      @pilgrimsgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      It sounds like you’re losing prime. I would start with checking your pressure hose and make sure it’s tight on the pump and on the gun. If those are not leaking then I’d check your hose from the house. Sometimes the pump is more powerful then your supply from the house. I have a well and it has pretty good pressure but my friend that I got it from also had a well and it couldn’t keep up with the demand the pressure washer needs. The way to remedy that is check your hose to make sure it doesn’t have any kinks and that it’s flowing well. Keep me informed with your results please.

    • @pilgrimsgarage
      @pilgrimsgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, he forgot to turn the fuel off and over the winter it leaked all the fuel into the crankcase and hydro locked it. It didn’t bend anything so it is good. I literally used it this last weekend and it’s awesome

    • @pilgrimsgarage
      @pilgrimsgarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, he told me it was locked up when he tried to start it. It turned over for me so I thought I’d see if there was any damage done to the engine if it had truly hydro locked. As you can see it was not by the camera. That little thing is super handy to look before you leap. I do appreciate the input though, truly I do.
