So, my pressure washer was doing this , the same thing. I thought it was dirt. So I checked all the simple solutions. But nothing. So I came across your video. And sure enough it was the o ring. Thanks man. You save me $150 Service fee. You the man. I will invest that $150 into the Business.
Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall. The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
Absolutely best advice anybody has ever given on TH-cam why the people that are new in the business needs always have an extra set of O-rings and check valves I agree the and extra unloader wouldn't hurt neither Golden Nugget brother keep up the good work wash own

#1 thank you so much for taking the time to make your videos. I’m looking to start a business and it’s been immeasurably valuable. #2 I just got a new Landa that has an unloaded on it. Do you think you could do a short video on that? There are videos out there on them but you’re always a lot more clear and insightful.
Thanks for the information My brand new pressure washer was surging do to the chemical injector being installed at the factory backwards. Ball was under the spring
Awesome, thank you for putting this together! Exactly what I needed, my Simpson pressure washer was doing this same thing and this being my first one I’ve owned I wasn’t sure if the pump was failing. Simple check valve clearance and o-ring replacement was it. Thank you!

Im using 5/16 high pressure hose for my 4400psi 4gpm machine and im so frustrated about vibration of hoses. I replaced my cart, even replaced my old AAA pump that went broke and with the new Comet 4000psi 4gpm pump and skid mounted on truck my hoses are vibrating as fck. Already checked the check valves and orings like u said on video, they are fine. Do you think switching to 3/8 hose will help? Do you have any vibration problems with 3/8 and 8gpm 3600 psi? I might be switching to 8gpm near future and i dont want this vibration any more.
i have one that collapses the input water hose 3/4" Acts like a vemt is clogged, this unit sat for 15 years , my sister asked for help i cleaned out all the varnish and honda engine runs as is should GX200 like mine, however doesn't make a lot of pressure and if i do not depress the wand trigger the unit will stall. took head off and cleaned everything , but something amiss
Here one for you. A friend of mine runs Hawk pumps, XLT2230 & number of XLT2730 all rated at 4350 psi for drain cleaning - never operated with a pressure gun or valve - its all remote start with so there should never be any spike pressure. The pumps have been purchased years apart so will be from different production batches. On the XLT2230 he has blown the cap/plugs on the 'Low pressure intake side' & on the XLT2730 this has happened 6 times - its just one plug that blows out at a time, not necessarily in the same location. The thread is nearly ripped flat & on 4 of the plugs the sides are ripped open like paper. The pumps are fed by a large water tank, with low water cut out, 32mm (1-1/4") feed hose & the tank has never been down low when this has occurred. f he runs a threading tool back through the head where the cap blew out of & then installs a new plug the pump carries on running as nothing had happened. Do you or anyone have an idea how the intake side plugs can blow out like this instead of the high pressure side, especially given there is a 32mm feed hose plumbed into the low pressure side so you would expect any back pressure to just go back up the feed hose to the tank. The supplier claims they have never seen this, almost as if they don't believe it & they but can't provide any thoughts on how this can occur. It happened again this weekend & I suspect whatever is going on is repeatedly happening, wearing down the plugs threads over time & eventually it blows. I would love to hear anyone out there's thoughts.

Good video but it sucks when the check valves for a consumer model washer aren't made any longer, and it seems briggs and stratton has a compatible set that comes with all the parts that assembles a new head without the actual head, and cost in excess of 40.
I'm going to have to check mine, I have the same pump in its giving me the same problems. My unloader is set up the same way, do you recommend switching it so it is easier to replace if needed? And if so, What would you switch it to?
Have a question can it cause your hose to blow off if you're not getting good pressure because my hose blue off a little while ago which I was not getting good pressure and my host started vibrating real bad and the next thing I knew the hose blew off off of the pressure washer itself thank you
On my pressure washer, the snap ring that holds the pulley in snapped, and the pump was making weired noises when I let off the trigger, and the flow was way reduced.

My washer was running on half pressure, took off a bolt with a ball bearing and spring, inside.a piece of metal was stopping the bearing from running smoothly.put the whole lot back in and perfect now.
You should always blow & suck on the check valves when testing them. If you can suck air through them they are not seating down fully. And as a pro tip never use an impact to tighten bolts even just loosely. If you tighten them down too fast the check valves can get crooked in there and ruin them as you tighten them check valve caps down.
+Jordyn Martinez exactly what I did, good tips. The impact is fine as long as you know how to use it, time is money and that speeds up the process. Thanks for watching
@@AllAboutPressureWashing yeah I’m just thinking of other people putting it on and giving it too many Ugga Duggas with an impact. I’ve always used my 1/2” 22in ratchet to be safe.
What is the problem when I turn on my pressure washer, pressure is being released from the valves on the pump. Water is being sprayed from the pressure valve with pressure?
I recently upgraded to a 21 litre per minute machine and I was using it today and it was jumping and sounding very weird. It would start out with super high pressure like normal for about 5 seconds then start to go shit. I thought maybe it could be because I was using a low pressure rain water tap?
Hello! Great informative video. I have an AAA pump. 4400psi. It has little plastic plugs on top. One of them is spewing water out. There isn't a loss of pressure, just that leaking problem. Can you please give me a what to do direction for that? Again, thanks.
@@AllAboutPressureWashing my lines are pulsating but there’s a bang noise. Running an RB600 (STIHL) when it rains it pours. Because as soon as I think I am getting ahead I have this happen. Funny thing is just upgraded my gun with a slightly longer barrel then what it came with. Wash broom, and a telescopic pole for gutters and two story homes. It’s my first power washer. Second season of power washing. Sucks because I am in the middle of a job, and three more lined up for next week.
Can I ask if these check valves are universal? Have a Cat pump that looks the same as yours...same socket dimensions at least...but can't find a replacement specific to the model we have.

Why would you ask this instead of just google it or call someone who sells them or who you bought it from
Rubber hammer rather than a breaker bar some times works. Instant torque. Doesn’t twist the whole pump.
Hit on the shifter instead of pull it to crack it.
Can running it pulsating cause the pump to tear even further?
Yes
