@ E39 had far superior engineering, much better drag coefficient, designed by Joji Nagashima HIMSELF
I also have one of these. Recently had to cut the rear section of the exhaust off to replace the half shaft seals on the diff and the noise is heavenly. I don't know whether it's the 11:1 compression ratio but the 4.95L engine truly sounds like a big block drag car. And someone said below "realistically obtainable dream car" = truth. E39 + S62 is a special combination.

@@pbluma like new brake booster, sealing up all the oil leaks, fans not working, synchronization of the individual throttles was not in order... Now I still have to do the exhaust 😂
At least the chain was done by the previous owner...

I gotta fix oil leak at the timing covers... might as well do the guides while I'll have the covers off.. and freaking rust at the corners of the rocker panels. I do all the engine work but know nothing of doing bodywork so I'm saving my money for the body shop
