"Lungs" is an awesome album with many great songs, especially "Swimming" and "Falling", that are not on the normal tracklist, and I discovered them later.
Florence I'm sure agrees with you considering it's on the set list for her 2022 tour. I love this song too, as a gay man I can say she is one of the most beautiful women in the world. True Story. I had the privilege to attend her concert in São Paulo, Brasil, on last year MITA festival. The zenith of the night was when she asked the crowd to lift some "human sacrifices" for this song. Man, how I wished I had a girlfriend to lift on my shoulders and offer ourselves to the goddess on the stage 😅
I love how the video uses a lot of symbols from Bacchanalia, the greek celebration to Dionysus, god of vine and joy. It's like they're just putting their troubles aside and enjoying life without question. It also quite looks like tea time with the Mad Hatter in Wonderland, which might be even more fun ! Awesome song, awesome video, awesome Florence !!!

This video looks like its been taken from Shakespeare's As You Like It! The forest setting, everyone dancing. Florence would make the perfect Rosalind, don't you think!?
not a fan of her, but i do not see how anyone can dislike her music. Her voice is spot on perfect, even live, and the music goes harmonically perfect with her voice.
If you listen closely, there's a very distinct, sharp inhale at the end of each line. Subconsciously I think it somehow really adds to the feel of the song. Florence is best listened to over and over again. Her splendid magnificence is not without continued attention to fine details :)
I remember putting this on a mix CD for my mum the summer this was released. Who is the lamb and who is the knife?
Midas is king and he holds me so tight
And turns me to gold in the sunlight
[Chorus]
This is a gift, it comes with a price
Who is the lamb and who is the knife?
Midas is king and he holds me so tight
And turns me to gold in the sunlight
[Chorus]
This is a gift, it comes with a price
Who is the lamb and who is the knife?
Midas is king and he holds me so tight
And turns me to gold in the sunlight
[Outro]
This is a gift
first time I herd her was live at electric picnic festival last week.she was the best of all the bands their in my opinion.loved it
THIS is what people should aim for in singing. Such a beautiful voice...
This is by far my favourite song of all time!!!!!!
I haven't listened to this song in 5 years...what a high!!!
After seeing Florence live in Athens, I can confirm she is indeed a fairy.❤
This video looks like its been taken from Shakespeare's As You Like It! The forest setting, everyone dancing. Florence would make the perfect Rosalind, don't you think!?
I couldn't agree with you more. "Well, this is the Forest of Arden."
Nearly 10 years old this gem. I wish florence would get back to making gold like this.
are we ready to admit this is in fact the best song written in history?
One of my all. Time faves, loved her from the start.
Florence is so pretty in this video that ginger hair is marvelous
Florence I miss you come back to us please!!!
OMG yes!! 😭😭😭😭
Jon who else do u like
Apparently a new album is coming out not too far away :D
THAT BETTER BE TRUE!!
Alessandro Boicel its true next January I think :-)
Every ounce of inspiration I have ever had so far in my life has been sparked by the sound of her singing voice.
I've been trying to find this song since I was a kid 😭❤❤❤
this song is a gift :)
The writing is seriously amazing....I love u Florence!!
not a fan of her, but i do not see how anyone can dislike her music. Her voice is spot on perfect, even live, and the music goes harmonically perfect with her voice.
I love the orchestration. The harp was a brilliant idea.
all the love there is in this world by florence and the machine
The fact that she was only 23 in 2009, when this song was released, is surreal.
Evokes intense emotions shes underrated
florence devastates not only for its sound but also by the letter and the letter of the stories and the theme
If you listen closely, there's a very distinct, sharp inhale at the end of each line. Subconsciously I think it somehow really adds to the feel of the song. Florence is best listened to over and over again. Her splendid magnificence is not without continued attention to fine details :)
I'm proud of my rabbit heart
gosh, im obssesed with this song
She's such a queen!
Best album
I only remember one line from this song, but I remember it so well from way back. I probably haven’t heard this in over a decade.
I love this song and Florence. both are magical
9 years later and florence at 0:12 is still like the hottest thing my little queer heart has ever scene
Omg yessss I love that part too!!!
So much Ethereal beauty in this vid! A total EPIC homage to a Bacchanalia
I remember putting this on a mix CD for my mum the summer this was released. I went to uni later that same year and bless her, one time she asked me who it was that sang 'The lovely song that says "Praise the Lord" on it'. Took me about 3 minutes before the ball dropped as to which song she was referring to 😂
HERE I'MMMMMMMM
WAITING FOR THE NEW ALBUM AGAIN ❤
