- Returning to the secret fishing lake to stock it with some very special fish. We also treated the lake with Oase schlixx to reduce silt without dredging the lake.

Glad we saw the fish, probably never see them again
I’m sure we will when they are massive! It’s not always about seeing the fish for some people. It’s about helping them to thrive
@@Mountain_Aquatics Massive? It's a tiny stagnant silted cesspit covered in duckweed, they wont survive. Did you test water quality at all? Nope, you threw an air--ring and some siltex in. Cowboys
Are you an idiot? The water was tested repeatedly for 8 weeks before we introduced any fish. It’s not a cesspit it’s a complete ecosystem and if you actually understood what you were talking about you wouldn’t embarrass yourself by making such ill informed and rude comments like that.
@@korzer you seem to have some very strong opinions! Would you be so helpful as to explain what qualifications you have exactly? Because clearly you think you know what you’re talking about. The fact you think a water test wasn’t completed before introducing fish, shows your lack of knowledge on the subject if you ask me
@@korzer it was never about cleaning it, it was about getting the ecosystem up and running for the fish. but I'm sure you're a pond expert.
When we had a problem with duck weed on one of our small fishing pools,we purchased some cheap pipe lagging and threaded rope through it,dragged across the top of the water as it floats to gather up a lot of the duckweed to make it easier to net out, after a few skims across we cleared at least half of it,after a few more drags across over a week or so we cleared most of it out
That’s a great idea!
You guys are really cool, the effort you guys put in these videos are unbelievable ❤
The nice, new fish probably love this pond 🐟🐠
Thank you so much ❤️
Have you enjoyed any of our other videos?
Hope to see another update on this pond as I've never heard of most of those fish. Some of them are beautiful!
More to come I’m sure! Thank you for the comment
So relaxing to watch
Glad you think so!
After all the rain you got this winter I guess that pond is full to the brim by now.
Yes you wouldn’t believe how deep it is now!
Nice video, that duck weed is a pain in the backside!
It is, but it’s great for removing excess nutrients
Love this -- and the big Clydesdale, too!
Yes his name is Luigi. He’s lovely
Superb job really well done guys.looking forward to seeing them in the future!the common carp will get huge no doubt!
We agree!
Wow “just came across your TH-cam channel and am amazed , what you’re doing 😊
Thank you so much!! ❤️
great video the size of the pond seems a bit small for fishing during the summer lol
It’s fine for a one person private lake
@@Mountain_Aquatics Lake? its a stagnant puddle
@@korzer thanks again for the comment, whenever you comment helps us, regardless of your opinion
Some underwater footage of this pond would be cool. Anyone agree? I'd be interested to see what's going on in there. 😊
It would be good to see. I don’t think the visibility would be great but it’s definitely worth a try
Been waiting for this. Good stuff 👍
Hope you enjoyed it!
Just seen this! Great vid and some good fish going in, looked like the pond water was very low?
I was. Totally different now though, gone up about 10 feet!
Hope the grass carp are hungry😊. Probably never see any duckweed again in that pond.
You and me both! We’re hoping they might make a dint in the duckweed
I guess we don't get to actually see the fish...
You did see them surely? What did you expect
That's potentially a stunning pond in a great location.
What are your thoughts on wetland/bog filters? That could be a good option to clear that up, although a lot of work 🙂
Not a bad idea, but as you said, a lot of work. I think the owner is keen to keep it as natural as possible
I loved the koi pond, this one is too dirty for me but I’m sure all the fish will grow very big with all that natural food to eat.
Yes different styles of pond for different situations. This one fits in to its beautiful surrounding well. And I agree, the fish well grow very well! Do you have a pond?
@@Mountain_Aquatics I used to, many years ago, but at the moment it’s not possible for me to have another. I hope to move somewhere I can build a pond before too long, I do miss watching my fish drift about in the sunshine. Your channel is a nice replacement though!
@Volklet I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos 🙂
A bit of zoom on the fish would have been a good idea 😅
I agree 😂
Hopefully the fish will see daylight one day, looked quite a dirty duckweed infested body of water.
A very natural pond for them. They will love it
Many of those fish, are going to be eating the duckweed, and if they were to add a couple of mallards 🦆, then they too will help to keep the duckweed in check, and the only reason why the pond was so bad, was because it had no real ecosystem going, which would make it free from the duckweed……
Perfect comment, thank you. That is what we do, work with nature and the customer to create a habitat/ecosystem that is both beautiful to look at and beneficial for the environment
Firstly I would have got a digger to get rid of a lot of rubbish in and around pond. Then got rid of all duck weed as it can take a lot of oxygen out of the water and kill fish just my opinion
How would you have gotten rid of the duckweed then??
I think an excavator would have been better to clear it out and enlarge it .alot of faffing for little benefit
We prefer to work with nature, not overpower it.
, you should never put the carp before the orf. 😂😂😂
🤷♂️
She’s referencing 1950s Hull.
I still don’t understand lol
I know I didn't like the concrete pond but this one is just too overgrown and dirty for me, maybe it's just a work in progress.
That’s ok. We all have different tastes
