It's a shame he didn't bring on anyone who actually knows the Bible though. Or history apparently. Claiming the American revolution came from the French revolution and the Torah is a flat out lie. Whether he knows it or not. But I suppose you won't like my comment despite the truth being at stake.

Who is coming, that is beyond your limited understanding will soon reveal himself in a way the Bible only hints at. No point to point out your limited knowledge. What matter because goodness is about permeate this Earth in the form of Christ's return and occupanied by intelligent life from beyond our imagination. When I started hearing your biblical series about Genesis about six years ago I was an atheist with strong nihilistic leanings. Today, when I hear your work on Exodus, I'm a believer, I study theology at the university with the aim of becoming a priest, I'm married, I go to church, I have a child that I love deeply; I try, and at moments I'm even able to try as hard as I'm able to.
Thank you for playing your part in making me aim high. Deeply, thank you.

Atheists are individuals that are mad at the world and choose to not believe in God because of the evil and darkness that pervades reality - they hate themselves in the midst of it. It’s an emotional argument. I hope time has made you realize it.
Out of all the animals on this planet, the human is the most rational animal on the planet relative to other animals, and how could the most intelligent animal not believe in God IF WE ARE THE ONLY ANIMAL CAPABLE OF STUDYING AND ANALYZING THE MECHANISMS AND FUNCTIONS OF GOD!

Colossians 2:8 warns against being spoiled by philosophy and vain deceit, following human tradition and the rudiments of the world, and not following Christ.123 The word "philosophy" means "love of wisdom," and every philosophy is essentially a humanistic devotion to man's wisdom for its own sake.0 However, such wisdom is false wisdom and derives in type from "the tree of knowledge," through the "vain deceit" of Satan, who tries to persuade us that partaking of it would "make one wise" and that "your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods."

The Jews hold Mosses in very high esteem, even though they rejected and rebelled against Christ. Question perhaps, would you say since Mosses was a torch bearer, and led them from the evil tyranny in Egypt, would you say he accomplished more than Jesus? He literally saved all of them from the evil tyrants under Pharaoh.

I can't stress this enough. We have a group of experts in various fields, who 1) chose a morally, historically, and philosophically epochal topic, 2) voluntarily came together with the honest intention of discovering as much knowledge from it as possible in an uncensored form with no narrative other than to understand the truth for what it really is, and 3) made it publically available with no paywall or barriers. This is the definition of "symposium." This is the very activity that, beginning with the ancient Greeks, has been continuously stated as the highest form of good and intrinsically valuable thing mankind is capable of. The fact that this video exists for free makes my eyes water a little bit. Add to it that, as now, it has over 2 million views, meaning that millions of people value the same thing in this as I do. Hats off to everyone who made this happen. If the world ever tries to take this activity from us in our lifetime, you will have my sword without hesitation.

And I will add, Even if you don't understand it all. But like Mark Twain said, " it's not the parts I don't understand that scare me, but the parts I DO understand that scare me!"

Awesome that you are reading it! I’m a huge fan of Dr. Peterson, and his take on biblical study is interesting at least!
However that being said, remember that he is approaching the scripture from a certain perspective, and you may take from his thought ideas that drastically differ from orthodox, catholic, or Protestant understanding of the scripture, and thus a more traditional study is VERY encouraged!
Still, enjoy the series! It’s a deep one.

You might Like Tim Mackey and the bible project, or Bishop Barron too. They both bring some intelligence and scholarly perspective to biblical teaching that elevates above dogma. Tim from his knowledge of the Etymology of Hebrew ,Greek and Aramaic words which brings passages to life in nuanced ways we don't always perceive, and his calm kind, egoless demeanor. And the good Bishop because he is an extremely intelligent man and philosopher at heart, also a big Bob Dylan fan 😂 who is very well versed amd knowlegable of the best and greatest historical theologians. It's a gathering of like minded people(ideally), with 1 goal: to know God. You can get to that place with a roundtable of friends or even just a spouse/close friend who has those conversations, and you should aim to! Because when you do, it's as beautiful a feeling as you'd imagine(: you got this! Ask, He will answer.

He’s like the umpire that allowed the Old Testament to gain forgiveness and lets Us talk and pray to God. The Old Testament people were methodical and required them to only speak to God through a Priest. It also
Required daily animal and grain sacrifice…..that’s why Jesus had so much love for both the Jewish and the Gentiles(or Greeks)…I am thankful that God reveals His Word at the time that I need it…Hide God’s Word in your memory (in the case that the Word is banned, you will need it….

Today, four years later, after finishing a long day of studying I was truly delighted to see that this new series is now available for everyone. This was the most insightfull screen time I have spend in a long time and I'm realy looking forward to more of this content in the future. @naikhanomtom7552 Yeah, I've watched tons of Dyer. I'm investigating Orthodoxy. But I don't think Essence/Energies Distinction is ultimately tenable or reconcilable with an immutable God. The idea that God's Energies can be uncreated but have a beginning doesn't seem coherent. The idea that God's Energies are also His essence makes more sense to me. Dyer's objections haven't convinced me yet but he is extremely intelligent, extremely well educated and a very impressive man overall. I understand his objections with the modern Catholic hierarchy and papacy as well, as a traditional catholic I can agree with a lot of what he says. But thus far, bad popes and corrupt hierarchies have never contradicted church teachings and have always been corrected with time. I would also respectfully recommend that you look into some Catholic objections of Palamism and Orthodox ecclesiology. Overall I think we're separated brethren in Christ. But, in order to reunite, Palamism and other errors will have to be reconciled with Catholic theology. God bless, brother. ✝️

I’m a 26 years old Iraqi clinical pharmacist. My name is Serraa Khaphají. And this is a message to Dr. Peterson.
I’ve been a student of your teachings since 2017, and I cannot help but agree with the majority of what you teach, share, voice, and believe. The reason that got me to comment today is this: I’ve overheard my parents watching an Iraqi interview between a tv show host and an activist, discussing the concept of the ‘social gender’, and the conspicuous opinion -now- that gender includes the social, psychological, cultural and behavioral aspects of both biological genders and ‘supposedly’ other gender-identity. This ideology is being openly discussed here in Iraq, on the political front, but not yet socially. We Iraqis have the not-so-intellectual attitude to care about ‘trend’ a little bit more than necessary, and to be entirely honest, I am terrified.
Iraq has been the closest thing to the host of multi-angled totalitarian despotism ever since 1978, or maybe before that. Politically, religiously, and socially, Iraq has been abused far more than what’s imaginable, and it is not getting any better, not with this. Why? Is the Left absolutely scared of their ‘theory’ falling out of proportion to the point they have to push it to another country to support it? Why this? People here have been confused as it is about raising their children since the 80s, and I know it never looked like it was getting any better (at least across my personal lifespan), but this? This where our politics still doesn’t accept homosexuality?
I always agree with your notion about specifying a place to stay the hell away from, I never thought though, that this place would be my country, not to this extent.
I hope this gets discussed by intellects like you, who search and seek the truth, and I hope you see this, because truly, never have I felt before to this degree, that things are spilling uncontrollably out of hands.
    Thank you…

Avoid these people.
      AND *2 Timothy 3:14-17*
14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed. You know those who taught you, 15 and you know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God[a] and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

That is probably because Sunday Mornings are tailored towards a wide sweep of people, and are monologues, not conversations. Few preachers know how to preach conversationally to make it more like this either. If you want something deeper try going to a midweek bible study.
Or if you just want more content that is deep check out The Bible Project. It is even deeper than this, and is likewise conversational rather than one guy preaching at you.

When He (Christ), who the OT people where purposed for, finally came into the world, the OT people denied, betrayed, abused and killed Him.
They committed the greatest sin that man has ever committed (Theocide).
Having broken Covenant with Divine purpose, hear what Christ said to the Jews
      Matt 23:38
"See, your house is left to you desolate"
Those who killed to Son, do not have the Father !
      JOHN 15:23

@pdestefano Because the Self proclaimed God of the Old testament is only sated with blood, child sacrifice, and murder. Yeshua came to the earth to redeem us from this false "God of this World". This "God" even lies and murders his own prophet Moshe. He lied to Adam and Eve in the Garden... Heck... He even proclaims to Yeshua in the new testament that he controls all the kingdoms of the earth and tempts Yeshua with them as a gift for submitting to him. MATTHEW 4:8-9
The Great Deception is that the world will lift up a false God in the 3rd Jewish Temple, believing that it is the one true God.
Yahweh even proclaims himself as The Beast of Revelation in Hosea 13 7-8 The Lion, The Leopard and The Bear.
These people know not what they do. They think they serve the one true God and have no idea how decieved they are. This is why Yeshua will tell them "I never knew you".
      Intention. Motivation. Purpose.
      Faith. Hope. Love.
You will know the one true God by these. He is not a genocidal maniac. Only good things come from the Father. The Father is love and peace.
The self proclaimed imposter God, The Deciever, The Usurper, The Father of All Lies, is not The Father in Heaven, but the Father of this World.
Yeshua will restore us to eternal life. That which was taken from us by the "Murderer from the beginning".
He who has ears to hear, let him hear. He who eyes to see, let them see.
The truth is right in the text. You don't need any special person to translate it for you.
The God of the Jews is The God of this World, just as is written plainly in the text.

Jordan, thank you so much for these. I don’t know if it’s just “coincidence” or not but these discussions come in usually at a little over 2 hours but under 2.5 hours. Which just happens to be roughly 10 percent of a day. Meaning that on busy days re-watching/listening to any given episode of this series will be a perfect substitute for our daily time tithed toward our God.

You believe in tithing time to God? And that this is you doing God a favor? I don't understand that. God is never too busy for us. Jesus was not too busy to die a terrible death for us... it's frustrating that so many of us only give our leftover time to God.
Just food for thought. I do not know a place in Scripture where God asks for a tenth of our day. I'm not doing God any favors by praying or in Bible study. He is doing something wonderful for me.
