Great video, Sam! Really put the nail in the head with this one. Perfectly describes feeling alone when you're suffering from OCD. The hardest part for me was the fact that nobody cared or believed me every time I told the people I trust around me what's going on with me and in my head. I stopped doing that before it became a proper confessing compulsion, however I did do a lot of confessing prior. It feels shit when the people you trust and love keep saying "It's all in your head, nothing is wrong with you" OF COURSE it's all in my head, that's the problem! 😂 Eventually, though, after learning a lot from many videos from many channels, including this one, I've learned to dispute irrational beliefs properly and see the world in a different light, so much so that I consider OCD a "mental teacher" of sorts, rather than a harmful disorder that is a part of me. I mean, it is harmful (depending on how you look at it) and it does cause distress, but at the same time it fizzles out and matters less and less as it goes on in the background, the more you learn, and the more you do the recovery process necessities. Technically, I don't feel alone because I'm suffering, I feel alone because of how different I view the world now than anyone else around me.
