    Hi! In addition to crafting TH-cam videos about creating more interesting photos, I teach photography at Highline College in Seattle, Washington. I got my first camera in 1979, soooo, I’ve been on the journey to more interesting photos for over 40 years (yikes!)
    I enjoy helping people (re)discover their creativity and expression through photography.

      Hi Jura! I had to use google translate for the Czech ;) My father's family moved to the United States in the early 1900's, and I don't know much about family history before then. Thanks so much for watching the video and sharing your kind words. Best wishes!

      Hi! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I prefer Lightroom Classic for a couple of reasons. First - it's what I started with and know best. Second - Classic allows me more control over organizing my photos, including renaming them when I import the photos. It will be up to you whether that makes a difference in want to switch to Classic. The one other major difference is that Lightroom CC does not have the book module built in, which I use several times a year in Classic. Hope that helps!

    Thank you for the video! I have a question - for some reason when I look at the DNG files on my desktop, they appear brighter than how they look in the Lightroom interface. I tried exporting them as JPEG and they still looks dark. Any idea how to make it look as bright as the original file?

    • @MSladekPhoto
      @MSladekPhoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Vanessa! This is a tricky one... When you export, what color space are you using? Color space is in the "File Settings" section of Export and includes options for: sRGB, Display P3, Adobe RGB (1998) and ProPhoto RGB. I use sRGB, as that's the most limited color space (fewest colors) and is the color displayed on websites. I haven't noticed a large difference in how my exports look vs. Lightroom display. When exporting photos for print or other uses, I would likely use at least Adobe RGB or one of the other settings that includes more colors. Color syncing is VERY complicated, and I know just enough to be dangerous ;) Hope that helps a little...

    Greetings sir,If i'm exporting an image using lightroom on my Phone,which must i choose between small pixels(2043 )and Largest available dimensions?

    • @MSladekPhoto
      @MSladekPhoto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! My suggestion would be to export to "Largest available dimensions" so you have the most options for printing and sharing. I suggest the smaller size mentioned in the video specifically for posting online. Cheers!

    my photos won't stay time synced that (captured time) placed them in when I export them????

    • @MSladekPhoto
      @MSladekPhoto  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! I’m not sure what’s happening with that. My suggestion would be to check the Adobe support forums to see if there’s a solution there. Good luck!

    How to fix (this file could not be written) when export the photos.

    • @MSladekPhoto
      @MSladekPhoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Sorry you're having problems. Usually when you get that error it means you are either 1) trying to save the photo to a location that does not exist or you do not have permission for (sometimes network drives do this) or 2) Lightroom can not find the original photo due to it being moved to a different location on hard drive or having been deleted. You'll see a little exclamation point in top right corner of the image thumbnail in Lightroom, if this is the problem. I made a video about how to fix the missing photos problem - th-cam.com/video/kXaHlDDFkK8/w-d-xo.html

      Hi! Sorry you’re getting that error. It usually means the photos you’re trying to export have been moved to a different location on your hard drive. See if this video helps - th-cam.com/video/kXaHlDDFkK8/w-d-xo.html
