The Streets that SCARES Majority | Inside Maraba 🇳🇬
A documentary about Mararaba. This is a town in Nasarawa State, central Nigeria. It is a district of Gurku Chiefdom under Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. It is among the cities comprising the Karu urban area, a conurbation of towns stretching to Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory.
Mararaba is known to be a notorious place because of its overpopulation, which is caused by the outrageous cost of living in the federal capital, pushing many people to live on the outskirts of the state.
This place is known for activities like robbery, pickpocketing, fights, and chaos. One needs to be very careful when visiting the place.
I explored the neighborhood and the most dangerous pedestrian bridge of Mararaba, I hope you enjoy the video.
Thanks to my friends for exploring the place with me

So populated, almost like Lagos, welldone sir 👍🏼
Yes, Its giving Lagos Vibe truly 💯💯
Wow... Thank you for exploring Mararaba.. you said you're going to do it and you did. This is perfect sir
Thank you bro🙌🏾🙌🏾💯
Why do you like to see hardship though?
@@sylviasworld9397 lol, not like that...this video is just to show people that has never been to Abuja that not everywhere in Abuja is beautiful and smooth... Places like Mararaba, Nyanya, karu and jikwoyi are also part of Abuja 😂😂😂
@@damilareoyewole-zu7vv Yes, I've been to Jikwoyi....it's actually a neglected place and so close to Asokoro too. These places were supposed to receive attention according to the Abuja Master Plan. The government need to give these areas some investment.
I think I just have my own aversion to certain things, that's my own issue. The people may even be more honourable than most tbh.
Maraba isn't in Abuja @@damilareoyewole-zu7vv
This is so interesting. Growing up in such neighborhood mehnnn😢😅😅
Right? Looks very interesting now😂🙌🏾
This is good
thank you 🙏🏾 💯💃🏽
What is good about it?
@@sylviasworld9397 everything is good about it
@@YomiSams It's not nice that people have to live in such places though. The minimum level is supposed to be much higher than this for all, though. They have just been forgotten, it seems. That's not okay.
I have lived in Asopada, Mararaba for at least two years. While pickpocket and other petty crimes might exist in Mararaba, it does not correlate with how you exaggerated it from the video. The area is calm, densely populated, and everyone lives peacefully.
Actually didn’t exaggerate it. I believe you did not watch the video till the end. Kindly watch it to the end and reply again to this. My goal wasn’t to paint it bad even though some of the stories that i heard about the place are true, I wanted people to see the brighter part of Mararaba. That was the goal. Thanks😀
@@YomiSams I watched it to the end before I replied. However, my experience was about 4-5 years ago, last 2 years and recently about 3 months ago. So, I can't say much about what you might have heard about the place. I have many friends there and from our communication the place is not plagued with activities as said in the video. Shalom.
you enter lagos call am abuja. no spoil my city for me
Lol, truly, this place gives Lagos vibe
@@YomiSams It does ....and Aba too.
Mararaba is a good place to leave, the cost of living is fair, the population increases due to the number of people coming into Abuja to live
Yes I agree, the population is cause by people migrating to that side so as to afford a decent lifestyle💪🏾…. Thank you Jane
If them hold you for one corner for Maraba, just give them your phone and keep saying God bless for collecting my phone till them leave you ooo. Very dangerous place.
Lol… I won’t lie, I was scared while documenting this. Just couldn’t afford to loose my gadget just like that, but thank God it all went well
Scary place to be man!😂😂
yeah… thank you for joining me in the adventure, 😜😂 thank God we weren’t ambushed as well😂😂😂😂
It looks so horrible, I would never take myself there, why would I?
The soft side of Abuja is for me, the other side is not my portion at all. I'm don't make a habit of frequenting the ghetto in any country I travel to, so why would I do so in Abuja?
Well at least there were no Agbero harassing you.
Lol.... to my greatest surprise, I wasn't harassed but I could here people warning me to keep my phone well. Also, most people that live here do so because of how outrageous the cost of an apartment is in Abuja, majority of people that work in the CBD comes from the axis which is why it is overpopulated. Everybody loves "soft life" some people aren't just privilege enough.
@@YomiSams You're right, we don't all have the same access and at least people are trying to live life as best they can. May God see to it that they also feel softer life at some point. It's actually all by God's Grace really.
They have done nothing wrong to live there and I've done nothing right to not have to live there. That's the reality.
They could all be better quality of people than all those in Maitama, if truth be told.
Look, I feel strongly convicted in my spirit about my initial reaction, I must confess openly.
This is Kabayi town
Yeah, It is a section of Mararaba
Can I walk the streets in Mararaba as a white woman?
Yes! I think so, but you will also need to go with someone familiar with the place, so you don’t get lost
Hell Noo
