I presume you were play the Wii U version, as the 8DX version _was_ made by Polmo and is on Gamebanana

Good timing with Double Dash turning 20 years old. Childhood classic to many and replaying it and these tracks is a treat officially and by fans
God, the moment you mentioned it's 20 years old I felt OLD.
Okay now, these versions of Luigi Circuit, Mushroom Bridge and Mushroom City are looking even better than the ones showcased before, and I'm absolutely all into it! The MK8/DX modding community is improving so frickin' much, it's just amazing to see! Gotta love Mario Circuit and Dino Dino Jungle too, of course.
Double Dash is so good, and so is MK8, they're in my top 3 with Wii for sure.
This is also my top 3. =)
Happy 20 Years to Double Dash, my first Mariokart and a childhood classic!
In the next game, I hope we see Wario Coliseum and Bowser's Castle get the remaster treatment they deserve, like what these fans so lovingly did!

Double Dash IMO has the hardest Rainbow Road, so underrated
Yea both double dash and wii have the hardest rainbow roads, especially double dash with its spiral and wii with its tight turns and crazy item distribution.
It would be so frickin' cool to see Mushroom City returning in mkx, it's one of my favorite tracks of all time and imo even better than most of the Tour city courses. Nintendo could add some new routes so that the layout would change for lap 3. Like imagine being able to drive the left way after the finish line and going up the bridges above the city, with a beautiful glider section near the end!! I hope so much that Nintendo will give Mushroom City the appreciation it deserves!! ❤

The fact that Wario Colosseum wasn't given to us on the Switch is so heinous.
The tracks all look great but a few of the remixes struck me as a bit... much? Like, they're fine as remixes, but they just don't fit like... the vibe and feel, ya know? I'm mainly talking about the ones used for Mario Circuit and Rainbow Road, which have actual sampled character voices included (something that just clashes very heavily IMO). The Bowser's Castle remix is on the edge but I think it still works though.
To be fair, Bowser's Castle in Double Dash was already quite edgy; This was before he became a master of heavy metal, mind you.

great to see Mushroom City getting a remix here, even if it doesn't change too much (not sure i like changing the Wiggler bus for a real live Wiggler though).
Wario Colosseum and Bowser Castle, on the other hand, are huge letdowns. the lack of glider ramps and antigrav sections make them wasted opportunities. and the less said about Rainbow Road the better (i mean, it's not even a revamp, it's just a straight rip!!!)
