The message from Kyle at 4:45 was truly special. It takes a person of real strength to be able to support those around you who need help while at the same time understanding how lucky you are to be in a place where you can provide that support. Your strength and dedication are an inspiration.
Have to be honest I looked and thought a 30 min video climbing a mountain might be a bit boring, but the scenery, editing, Kyles comments, the lovely hotel lady and the storm made for an absolutely cracking video. Well done on all fronts.
_Congratulations_ on the book, Amy! And Kyle, thanks for your comments on the challenges you also faced during Amy's tough times with her ED. Very proud of both of you!
I am impressed by your climbing and that you are doing it for a very good cause! Keep making videos, you are amazing! Thanks for letting us follow you!
Good man Kyle I know from experience what u mean regarding this disorder effects everyone involved with a loved one suffering from it,another top video Amy you both are a pair of tough copies, stay safe and happy tat tar
I remember doing this bike tour over all these mountain passes. When I got back home and showed my friends pictures they didn’t understand why I had so many phots of mountain pass signs! Every pass cycled over is earned.
Had my bike doing same clicking noise just before a race and it was my pedal. Kyle loved your explanation of been there for others when they having hard times.
When that storm came in and the rain came battering down I thought wait a minute, these things only happen to me lol. As someone else mentioned below, you'll never forget that day now!
Spectacular ride! I wish I took up cycling when I was young and had all the wonderful experiences you two have built up already. Keep it going and best of all enjoy it!
Congratulations Amy on the book release. I would like to buy a copy. Not just because I love watching your adventures but because my daughter is struggling with her mental health at the moment I would like to see if she would read your book. Love to see her to find a interest to destact her. When she has dark thoughts and feeling low.
You must have somehow upset the weather Gods 😂 On a different note - and I admit I don't know what cassettes you have on your bikes - but for those long climbs I can really recommend an 11-36 as it does make climbing that little bit less taxing on the cod loins. Well worth it for a trip like yours. And not least, if you want a similar landscape but slightly less climbing the Spanish Pyrenees is a fantastic place, with superb road quality, stunning views, lovely little villages in the mountains, and it is very, very affordable too.
I listened to your podcast this morning and asked how Kyle coped doing your mental health issues so was great to hear his personal reasonsfor the ride. absolutely amazing such an inspiration and I'm sure you are reaching people and helping😊😊❤ xx
The reason the water is the colour it is, is due to tiny particles suspended within it. The tiny particles are known as stone flour and come from snow melt. It is particularly prominent in run off from glacials such as the Canadian Rockies where lakes, such as lake Louise, Morraine and Maligne Lakes are world famous for their turquoise coloured water.
Well done getting up d'Huez guys. Great that you had Blue skies for the views etc, on the climb. Amy, Galibier just 8K away ! Temptation must've been there. Next time :) Weather Gods summoning up a storm to end the day 🌩 ? C'mon up there, behave ! 🎵 At the end of the storm There's a Golden Sky 🎵
Our Great Kyle "Duke of Peroni Beer" looks in that early morning extremely fresh and motivated !!! and even wearing a fresh washed cycling kit !!! that's progress !!! go Duke go !!!
You filmed and narrated this so well. Nature put on a few shows for you. Col du Lautaret was stunning. Amazing skies and the challenge of the day beautifully conveyed. Even the storm looked impressive: it's a shame you got caught in it. Meal looked so impressive but a start at 04.00! Hmmm, rather you than me. This is an amazing adventure.
Have just preordered your book and sent your publisher an email saying how fortunate they are to have found you. In the words of strictly Keeeeep pedalling.
🐴 category 😂 Great job 💪 Did the Alpe D’Huez - Sarenne - Les Deux Alpes loop last year. Alpe D’Heuz not the most beautiful of climbs tbh especially not in the region. The good thing is that it starts hard but gets easier. Luckily not with packs 😅 Col de Granon hard but beautiful
Loved everything about this video except you guys getting a drenching , that was so unfair. What an epic ride, you made it look 1) easy and 2) something I would love to try. Kyle’s quiet words were also just lovely. Well said young man. Wishing you both fun and safety over next few days.
Catching up on the vlogs while on the Turbo, great stuff, alpe d'huez is a fantastic climb, we stayed there for a week cycling back in 2015, first 6 corners were steeper but managed to get up to the top in 56 mins! Mind you, i was younger and 20kgs lighter back then! Haha! Keep up the good work.
Hi Amy and Kyle, I have enjoyed watching your videos from the Pinarello factory tour and the rest of your journey through Italy and France. Look forward to seeing further videos from the rides and I have pre ordered a copy of your book 👏
Amy and Kyle it is stuff like the walking in the rain and Thunder along with the Alp d'Huez that you will remember all your lives. It is the Ying and Yang that makes life interesting right? Cheers I know your home no so I am staying tuned.
Congratulations on your book. And well done on completing that amazing climb you are super girl, and Kyle is the Terminator, the unstoppable one from Terminator 2 😅
Well done you fabulous pair! What a beautiful ride and place to stay, amazing climbing.💪🏁 I’m sure you could have done without the storm on the way home!😂 ❤🏁🏁🚴♀️🚴♀️💐💐😊
excellent news on the book, and what a great achievement going up Alpe d'huez, I don't think I could have made it with all your luggage, I would of had to leave my saddle bags at the cafe at the bottom and picked them back up when I came back down. you are both a couple of power houses. great news on the charity donations.
Wow told you it was a hard hard climb Amy. To me it is the climbing at beginning up to those first 4 corners of the climb, it is quite a along steep drag. You did brilliantly both of you, well done stay happy. Oh and tell tell Kyle I understand about what he was saying I have been there with that stress & feelings though we all feel it in our own way.
Surprised you didn’t do the Galibier while you were there. That’s even higher than the Lauteret or Alpe D’Huez. Galibier is the highest I’ve ever been on a bike, but Alpe d’Huez is a harder climb.
What ever the taxi charged it would of been worth it :). Missed the last return bus in Majorca once. Was 12 kms from the hotel with not enough money for the cab fare. Same outcome ..:).
@ 8.48 - Haha - Amy! I can recall a time when you started filming that that descent would have scared the living daylights out of you, to hear your unreserved full blown YIPPEE! was great!
As always another inspirational video. Although I'm not sure why you rode up AdH with all you gear. I would have dropped off at accommodation BEFORE ascending!😂😂
Bloody hell what and epic adventure Amy such a great cause and because of your big heart too. All those miles with the big mountain climbs wow. Everyone like and subscribe to this lively humans channel and support mental health in your community. TTFN to you both Amy lots love to ya as well.
Great video.... very interesting ... respect that is intense work getting up those mountains... Sometimes i watch Harry Kane prancing around earning millions a month and then i think of the Tour de France and those cyclist with pain on their faces when climbing the mountains ( No comparison in pain )
Amy - Kyle's worried about his hands swelling with altitude? Then it's best you not tell him that paint nicks swell with altitude. I very much appreciate both you and Kyle (and your nails) biking on behalf of mental health/eating disorder issues. Bikes were a HUGE aid in my mental health issues. I'm still trying to get over my paint nick issues. One day, one day . . . Bill O'

You deserved this Kyle, for all the support you gave. What a team . . .
Awesome achievement cycling up Alpe d'Huez, especially on fully loaded bikes! Chapeau Amy & Kyle!

Guys, change over to Squirt lube. It's wax, and your drive chain stays so clean. I could never go back to oil and that black grime build up.
I remember doing this bike tour over all these mountain passes. When I got back home and showed my friends pictures they didn’t understand why I had so many phots of mountain pass signs! Every pass cycled over is earned.
100% 🙌🙌
Chapeau to you both what an amazing achievement, respect . But seriously hats off to the pro's, how they get up at the speed they ride xx
Shout out to you too Kyle. You compliment each other 🥰
Thank you Kyle and Amy!☺️ Your channel motivates me so much! ✌🏼❤ Watching your channel is the best motivation for me to go riding again.
Ahh this is great to hear 🙌 thanks for watching!
You two are great, it's like watching a light comedy (in a good way). Well done with your book and the awesome climb!
Thanks so much! Glad to bring a smile ☺️
Had my bike doing same clicking noise just before a race and it was my pedal. Kyle loved your explanation of been there for others when they having hard times.
Top of Lauteret view off to the left is the La Meige glacier one of my favourite views ever. I adore this area
When that storm came in and the rain came battering down I thought wait a minute, these things only happen to me lol. As someone else mentioned below, you'll never forget that day now!

Congrats on conquering the iconic Alp D'Huez guys, amazing job👌The scenery was just mindblowing👌

Fantastic effort with all that weight and you still managed to create a fantastic vlog! Well done both! You did an ALP!!

Quality video, hard graft and some motivation. You guys are living the dream!
Also big up T Bain the Watt Machine of West Cheshire
Definitely a great idea to big up TBAT the Tatton Park whistler
I did both of these in May so great to bring back wonderful memories. There was a lot more snow there when I did it. Great video!
