I’m so glad I found a video showing this model. It’s very well detailed and I’ve never had a good hand at kit building, so this seems like a nice replica of USS Discovery to buy. After seeing how it got de-fitted back to its original 23rd century form in the series finale, I was finally ready to pull the trigger. Just in time to spoil myself for Father’s Day too 😁
Yeah that's really sweet I'm very impressed with it. I love to build my own ships but I'd definitely buy this I hope they do the rest of the fleets. They have done an outstanding job . If they put lights in too then wow

Thanks for putting this out there! I was really curious to see the build quality and marking application. I’m really excited to see the 1/350 1701! That’s the one I want!
@@fhqjklasdf They just updated the design of the ship because they are now in the 32nd century. In last episode of the 2nd season they time jumped from the 23rd century to the 32nd century to escape an evil artificial intelligence. The basic design of the ship remains but is heavily modified to incorporate 32nd century technologies.
I don't have the facilities or time to do models like I want, so I'd snap up something like this if they do more ships from the various shows. I think this looks great and seems priced fairly, since I also have a lot of the Diamond Select ships. I didn't care for the Eaglemoss ships partly because of the size but mostly because the stands were hideous. Thanks for this review!
Absolutely gorgeous display model! Far Superior even to eaglemoss' in detail quality. I truly hope that they continue to produce the Discovery-A, in prebuilt display fashion as well. In my humble opinion, eaglemoss' versions are decent, But they are just a huge fish in a small pond. And for what you're paying for, Polar Lights has the corner on the market in quality.
I personally do not like the Eaglemoss line of Starships. As a modelmaker myself of more than 30+ years, there are just things about there product I don't like at all. The details are almost always inaccurate and the sculpted details are very "soft" and often sloppy...mass produced feeling. This pre-built Round2 Discovery is outstanding!

I never judge these sort of things against a well designed and engineered model kit, but the standard of this is a great standard. A lovely model.
Wow this thing is amazing I really hope they do more ships, would love an E or Voyager prebuilt as I dont have the skill to do models well.

There is a problem in that logic, you can *buy* the eaglemoss models from Amazon, or *buy* from eBay if you're that's your preference.
