Congrats! Those Valiants were well designed and well-built, just had that blister problem which can be dealt with using good barrier coatings. What really makes your boat a good buy is the new diesel, rigging, and thru-hulls - some expensive work has already been accomplished and will allow you to concentrate on other upgrades.
Hurray, its not a catamaran and its not 50ft, in other words its a yacht we can all relate to and affordable. Wish you both the very best for the future and will follow your journey all the way from England.
Your excitement is palpable, congratulations on finding a boat you are happy with, you could spend years searching for the perfect boat. And all boats need ‘fixing’ whether you spend 20k or 100k. Enjoy it!
Congratulations look forward to seeing some of your adventures me and my wife also intend on living on a boat just got to wrap things up for a couple more years We just got a Minn Kota 30 lb thrust like 114 at Bi-Mart grabbed an old car battery and that thing runs for pretty substantial length pretty light and easy to put in your boat are channels called Santana 28 restoration and sailing you can see how well the little Motor Works
We insured through state farm, they didn't require a survey since our boat was worth less than $50,000. We actually have full insurance not just liability for 70$ a month which we felt was good especially since we have little experience
Starting with good bones. You ended up choosing more wisely than we expected.
We appreciate that. Good bones was what we were after, time will tell
Nice size boat to start out. If the motor is new as it looks. You got a good buy. They are a good motor.
Yes it has 59 hours on it

Thank you very much
Congratulations. I hope it has good bones. I would have at least taken it out of the water to see what's going on under the water line.
Good luck
Yeahhh I was a little concerned about that, I guess it's a chance we took
Congrats on buying a great boat!
That's good to hear haha, thank you very much
Grats!

Spain ❤
👍
don't you need the survey to insure and be able to go to marinas?
We insured through state farm, they didn't require a survey since our boat was worth less than $50,000. We actually have full insurance not just liability for 70$ a month which we felt was good especially since we have little experience
Typically companies will require a survey though
👍🎣⛵💯
Let's sail it to Antarctica
Sounds cool
I like your videos I’m from Florida St Augustine but my English is bad it would help if they put subtitles they would have more audience success
what language do you speak?
@@Bretandmarisa Spanish
Uniflite = hull blisters.
Yes we have those
@@Bretandmarisa Not a big deal. Enjoy.
