How to make Tuna Sandwich with Mayo, Quick and Easy Recipe

- This sandwich recipe is very easy to make and very tasty. You can make it for breakfast or for lunch.
How to make tuna sandwich with mayo
Ingredients
1 canned tuna
2 tablespoons mayonnaise for make tuna salad
2 teaspoons mayonnaise for spread on the slices of bread
1 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon chopped yellow onion
1/2 dried dill
A little salt and black pepper to taste
60 g sliced lettuce
2 slices whole wheat bread
Instructions
1.In a bowl, combine together the canned tuna, mayonnaise and mustard.
2.Stir in the yellow onion, dried dill, salt and black pepper.
3.Place the tuna salad and sliced lettuce onto 2 slices of bread.
4.Spread the mayonnaise on the remaining 2 slices of bread, place it on top of the sliced lettuce, mayonnaise side down.
5.Cut the sandwiches into triangles or squares as you like. ENJOY!

This is so delicious, quick and easy, I did it with canned sardines as well.
I skip the mustard, lettuce and add jalapeños. I also throw the tuna in the freezer for 15 minutes. I then toast the bread and make a sandwich with the cold tuna. Wow. Always amazing. For some reason warm or room temperature tuna just doesn't taste the same as when cold. It also smells more when warm.

You can vary the recipe a little. I sometimes add corn and Bell peppers - but never omit the dill and celery salt - that's what makes it so special! It's going to be a really hot one today and those cold buds sound lovely with this! 😃 God Bless 💞

Well if you're interested in another new idea I'll tell you how I make mine. Oh and fyi, I don't put mayo on the bread before putting the tuna on, it has plenty of mayo & mustard in it already. Ok, here's what I add to my tuna and I'm pretty liberal with the amounts.
(1) white tuna
(2) mayonnaise
(3) honey mustard or regular mustard
(4) finely chopped green onions
(5) minced red apples
(6) chopped boiled eggs
(7) sweet relish or finely minced sweet pickles
(8) occasionally I also add water chopped water chestnuts
(9) top the tuna with a slice of swiss cheese on toasted bread.
By the time I'm through making my tuna it has at least doubled in size and is a fairly healthy sandwich. I prefer to go a bit easy on the mayo and use more mustard. It's incredibly delicious with all of those flavors combined together.
Plus lightly toast the 🍞 bread.
It need sweet relish celery and hard boil eggs can you imagine how yummy it would be 😋

Love this! Buuuuut, mine is a less *mayo* and *no mustard* version of this masterpiece.
My suggestion is to pour the mayo, mustard, a few drops of Frank's hit sauce into a bowl. Add pepper, smoked paprika, a touch of cayenne pepper (Do not be afraid to use cayenne because the mayo is going to absorb much of the heat), a small amount of salt, maybe a small amount of seasoned salt. Be careful to use very little salt because much salt is already coming from the mayo. Add some parsley and use a spoon to mix all of those ingredients into one sauce. Taste it for salt and pepper. Once okay, then add the tuna and mix. For the bread, I prefer Rye with a pumpernickel swirl. Toast slightly on one side. Then flip each side over, adding butter and them some American cheese. Heat the tuna in the microwave for about a minute. Add the tuna to the bread. If desire, add lettuce and slices of tomato for a Tuna Melt sandwich, made to perfection.

This is so good. I've loved this my whole life. Add anything you want. The best Tuna, in my opinion, is yellow fin in olive oil. Water is bad for the meat. Add eggs, onions, relish, it doesn't matter. Some people like Miracle Whip, some, just like a mayonnaise. It's bomb.
I put in bell peppers, red and green. And some raw garlic finely chopped. This is a tasty sandwich mix. Even for a small picnic.
And camping trip.

We do mayo finely diced onions and celery, eggs, half dill half sweet relish, and depending on the mood some jalepenos.
Mix some cream cheese with the tuna, before you add the mayo. Makes it smoother, you will never go back! Bon appetit!🤗😁😘

What a delightful presentation. A nice addition to your recipe is diced celery, along with the diced onion, the celery adds a distinctive "crunch".
Recently, I found BUMBLE BEE SOLID WHITE ALBACORE, bland and tasteless. Their LEMON PEPPER TUNA in the pouches, is very good. This Lemon pepper tuna, with a cold bean salad, (can of cut green beans, seasonings, thinly sliced onion, garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar), is so enjoyable and healthy, I make it all the time - 3x/week...
I tried canned yellow fin tuna. The meat is red and the flavor - oy! There is no comparison in flavor

I use miracle whip, chopped sweet onions, chopped sweet pickles, chopped celery, and chopped apple, with my 3 drained cans of tuna. I chop everything in a very small dice. Spread on toasted bread, top with lettuce, cut on the diagonal. Then serve with chocolate milk, and Fritos.

This is delicious. I love tuna salad. I only use yellow fin tuna in olive oil. I think the water tuna isn't as tender.
Very nice. I love the idea of adding dill. Truly the great thing about tuna salad is there are no rules and you add or omit anything that you want. I like mayo, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, chopped celery, chopped sweet pickles, (it's better than using sweet relish), and a splash of the juice from the sweet pickle, combined with salt and pepper makes a decision salad. I usually make a extra, for it last about three days in the refrigerator.

It doesn't need salt, usually the tuna has salt in it, chopped dill pickles or dill pickle relish and just wipe some mustard on the bread , doesn't need to go in the mix, also a chopped hard boiled egg is great in it too
