Good tips overall, but here's another one: If you're trying to get a sticker off something and heating it up is impractical (such as if it's plastic or non-heatproof glass), peanut butter is your friend. The oil in the peanut butter helps dissolve the glue holding the label onto the container. We used to use this in a tech company where I worked.
For gentle heat to remove stickers use a hair dryer. It works. That using a stove idea worried me. Too much chance for a mishap. Plus the fact some types of plastic distort at high heats which is why plastics sometimes say not to put in a dishwasher.
You can actually just use oil. Oil of any kind.... even cooking oil. Any of it works as good as goo gone. Also It is really good to use when getting labels off plastic because it doesn't scratch or discolor the finish on the plastic.
These tips are brilliant! On the side: My grandmother never threw away bacon grease. She saved it in a can on the stove. She used it to oil the pans when frying things. She would fry chicken, and then made gravy out of the pan drippings. Absolutely the best!

We, in the US South, always have a grease "jar". Usually an empty coffee can. We just filter the grease and let it cool. Cover it, and let it be until the next time. Yes, sometimes it gets totally foul, but with the proper lid, you won't smell it. Let it sit and fill until full and then throw it away. For those who cook a lot of bacon and use a lot of the grease to cook with, the bacon grease is saved in a jar. When it's needed, just take a couple of tablespoons or more to cook or fry. For those who do this, it's used so fast that it won't go bad.
Anytime I have grease to pour off I drain it into a PAPER coffee cup ( saved from anytime I have a take out coffee) I usually put a bit of paper from my shredder into bottom of cup to absorb the grease, then into the green bin for compost. Also the sticky label on the bottom of bowl will peel off easy after letting hot water sit in the bowl for a bit.
Your videos are always so creative and fun to watch! OMG! Separating the chicken from the bones is absolutely an award winner!!! I'll definitely use that next time I get a pre-cooked chicken. Brilliant! So many great hints.
Only if you can't use a knife or you can't pull on kitchen gloves. Too many little bones mixed in. And no nice pieces of chicken to present. Waste of a lot of plastic too.
@WebspoonWorld I simply freeze my bacon spread out on a parchment lined cookie sheet, then place the individually frozen slices together into a zip lock bag. When ready to cook, take out what you want and leave the rest til later. Also, if one uses the bacon fat, keep it in a jar in the fridge as it stays (solid) much longer than on one's counter. I do like your idea of the foil lined bowl for used grease until solid. I would always use an old can then throw it out, but then you aren't recycling the can, and the foil can't be anyway. Win, win.👍
I just use the cheapest plastic baggies, 3 folded slices per baggie, roll-up each baggie and freeze them. Microwave to thaw each baggie as needed. Easier than this guy’s method.

Some of these are genius. Thanks. My tip for disposing of fat or grease is, l keep an empty can and put used coffee grinds in it. While the grease or fat is still hot l pour it in the can and when the can is full l drop the whole thing in the bin. I also use used coffee grinds for cleaning my cast iron cookware and polishing the stainless steel sink.
7:12 so hold on a moment. When you squeezed the lemon and got 47 g, you only squeezed half the lemon. When you cut the lemon into pieces, you use the whole lemon so of course you got double.😅

Micro waves are 'only good for heating' something, in my opinion. When I was younger, microwaves were dangerous. They are no longer dangerous. But, I would NEVER 'cook' in a microwave either!
I do something similar but totally different with bacon! 😂 I precook the bacon in an oven or air fryer and then lay it on parchment paper and roll it up. Stuff it into mason jars and pressure can it. It turns out absolutely amazing every single time! I have endless amounts of shelf stable bacon for any recipe or just to have with eggs. I’m trying to find recipes that don’t require fridge or freezers for obvious reasons! Cheers.
Did you know that if you get fresh chicken eggs, don't wash them, then they don't need to be refrigerated! Just be sure to wash them as u use them. Also, if you buy eggs from store, coat them with mineral oil and u need no refrigeration. I utilize this for my camping trips. Since that's another reason for trying to keep things unrefrigerated.
I always wanted to do a series on "Cooking with newspaper". I use it for bacon, tomato pie, chicken wings, egg plant parmesan and many more. Lined with paper towels, it is an essential tool for extracting moisture and grease. No clean up crispy bacon is a staple. And for a tomato pie that slices and holds up perfectly, it is essential to slice, salt and press them in rolled up paper towels and newspaper. For super crispy chicken wings they must be DRY. Roll them up in newspaper & paper towels and set aside until moisture is extracted. Same for fried shrimp, scallops and calamari.
My question as well. I did find another youtube using 325 degrees for 30 minutes, cooling naturally (no ice bath); eggs were unevenly cooked onside and some showed a slightly green rim on the yolk. With that knowledge, I think I can make a few adjustments to make it work... It would be best to hear from Webspoon...!!! 😊
@@WebspoonWorld A lemon reamer works even better. I have an old wooden one that looks like a small finial. Cut the fruit in half, push the reamer in and move it about, and all the juice is in the bowl.
thats not a hack the first squeeze he used half a lemon then the hack he used a whole lemon wheres the "hack" LOL. Here's a real hack ....use a lemon/lime press and get all the juice.!!!
Good hack? Put the lemon in a bowl of very warm water for a few minutes first to make it release more juice, then roll firmly on the counter (they say microwave, but I don't microwave foods)....
Bacon was on sale this week at my grocery store, so I used your idea with laying the strips on parchment paper, placed them in a freezer bag. It's nice to just take out one or two slices when I need them!
It's not "lazy", it's efficient. You're using less water, less soap, and less energy to heat the water. You don't even need to turn on the blender, just shake it a few times, or even let it sit while you do something else. Just don't forget about it!
You really are a friggin’ genius and I still swoon watching your demonstrations 🤤😘😏…(I laughed out loud watching some of the hacks; so inventive and clever!! 🤗)
Now that sounds yummy! I usually just cook the bacon plain. Never even thought about spicing it up, but am going to now! Sometimes I put bacon between paper towels and cook it microwave for a few minutes and it's perfectly crispy and quick. And all grease is on the paper towels. Works best if not cooking lots of bacon. But it is straight and crispy. And now I want some bacon.
@@IdahoRanchGirl Thats how we cook bacon too. Crispy and greasefree everytime. In the Restaurant they put in over, or did. I would never think to use...flour...on bacon. WHAT?????

Originally from Missouri and my mom always had a container of bacon grease on the stove. Went in beans, eggs, cornbread, fried chicken, fried bread, vegetables. Can’t eat green beans without it.
Never heard about flouring bacon, but DAMN that looked tasty! I was jealous when you ate it! Sounded so crispedy. Yummmmmmmy! Also what temp for baking the egg shells?
Best way? Just pull the label off and use Ronson lighter fluid to remove leftover paper and adhesive. Lighter fluid is a great solvent for removal of tape and label (sticker) adhesive. It also does not damage the surface. It has other uses as well. I don't smoke but I like to keep certain solvents for various crafts I do. Its cheap and goes a long way!
I use the hack for the honey on a spoon or a measuring cup, except I use the oil in a spray can to coat the spoon or measuring cup. That way it’s only a light coating and not a lot of oil if you just dipped it into the oil. But it works perfectly every time.

Love you man. Been watching you for years. My you have grown. Good on you! Thank you for teaching us so much and making it fun.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for being a long-time viewer! 😊
Just when I thought you could not teach me anything new, I have learnt several new tricks. Wow! And i’m 60. Never to old to learn hey. Brilliant video.
It's never too late to learn something new!
I just subscribed, your life hacks are really great. I have one for you ; When sturing say batter in a bowl or a cutting on a cutting board on the counter the hack is if you place a damp paper towel on the counter it won't slip around. I shared this a long time ago with someone making a cooking video and they wrote me back with high praises.
Again thank you for the video. ❤✝ 🇺🇸
Thanks for subscribing!
I have been watching for years….always a pleasure, plus great ideas here. Thank you!
Wow, years of viewership!
Thank you sir. You never end to amaze us. You are a genius.love and respect!!
You're too kind!
What a fantastic tip!
@@WebspoonWorld Cor. Thank you. 😊

@@2bbossfreeYes. Good point. My excess go in the compost too.
Loved the air fryer cleaning tip and that massager/sifter one lol. 😊
I'm glad you enjoyed those tips! 😊
@@WebspoonWorld🔴🔴temperature to cook eggs please
I did too. Only problem for me is I have an air fryer that doesn't have the basket! It's more like a little oven for countertop.
At what temperature do you cook the eggs in the oven in the package they came in?
325 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
@@Talian1 The eggs from my local Publix are mostly in a Styrofoam like packaging, which would melt
@@tomm9493Use a muffin tin. One egg per muffin cup.

7:12 so hold on a moment. When you squeezed the lemon and got 47 g, you only squeezed half the lemon. When you cut the lemon into pieces, you use the whole lemon so of course you got double.😅

Need a quick dessert? Unroll a portion of thawed puff pastry...lay a chocolate bar or two end to end...down middle third of pastry.Spoon cherry pie filling over chocolate.Fold dough over filling.Brush with milk and sprinkle sugar over top. Bake until golden brown! Wonderful served warm. White chocolate and apple pie filling is also tasty.
I love I have reached the place in my life...to continue to cook and try new things. Including my own concoctions!
Thank you for the tricks!
Except for 'microwaving garlic' and 'throwing away bacon grease' these are great kitchen hacks!
(I don't microwave anything)
But, hey, to each his own.
Micro waves are 'only good for heating' something, in my opinion. When I was younger, microwaves were dangerous. They are no longer dangerous. But, I would NEVER 'cook' in a microwave either!
@@shereef3823...10 second meringues. 2 minute sponge puddings 😋
@shereef3823 I always steam my vegetables in the microwave, they don't lose flavour. I have a tray for cooking bacon too, it's great.
Cheers.
That's a brilliant idea!🥓🎉
That's an awesome idea! We can a lot here on the ranch, never thought about bacon, thanks! And with food prices so friggin high right now...
@@IdahoRanchGirl I've read that once they are refrigerated they need to stay refrigerated until using them.
Wow, cooking with newspaper sounds like a brilliant series idea!
I would worry about the inks used getting into the food.
@@marciaoh7056 That's what the paper towels are for. Besides, they outlawed toxic inks years ago because of kids and animals eating it and such.
I think newspaper is stilllike a petroleum product:(. @OleensEmbroidery

what oven temperature for baking the eggs? Thanks!
Please do share! I zoomed in on that portion of the video, but your oven showed no temp
Maybe it is a bot. I see lots of "thank you" comments from the channel but no answer to the most important question.
@@jahanawalt350 for 35 minutes
My question as well. I did find another youtube using 325 degrees for 30 minutes, cooling naturally (no ice bath); eggs were unevenly cooked onside and some showed a slightly green rim on the yolk. With that knowledge, I think I can make a few adjustments to make it work...
It would be best to hear from Webspoon...!!! 😊

Thanks for that lemon trick! I always felt they had more juice in there!
That lemon trick can be a game-changer for getting the most juice out of your lemons. 🍋😊
That's fantastic to hear!
I have been cleaning my blender this way forever. It is amazing how often genius comes from just being lazy. ha ha
Ditto, I "discovered" this the very first time I used a blender - and let it sit for an hour and everything got stuck! ICK!

Here in my country, we don't use flour on bacon. We use brown sugar and cracked black pepper. Million dollar bacon. We don't over cook it.
That sounds absolutely delicious! 🥓🌟👌
Yum
Now that sounds yummy! I usually just cook the bacon plain. Never even thought about spicing it up, but am going to now! Sometimes I put bacon between paper towels and cook it microwave for a few minutes and it's perfectly crispy and quick. And all grease is on the paper towels. Works best if not cooking lots of bacon. But it is straight and crispy. And now I want some bacon.
What country are you from ? I have lived in California my whole life and we just fry it plain. That sounds delicious ! 🥓 !
@@IdahoRanchGirl Thats how we cook bacon too. Crispy and greasefree everytime. In the Restaurant they put in over, or did. I would never think to use...flour...on bacon. WHAT?????

Some of these are really great, but advising folks to throw away bacon grease vs finding new ways to use it in recipes is a crime that is punishable where I'm from.
You must be in the Southern US, lol. I live there and I learned that very quickly upon moving here. I can't imagine having butter beans without bacon grease. I have a small pot I keep filled with it. @michellemcgough
Amen from Alabama. That stuff is liquid gold around here 😊
Ha😂. That's what I call it. My heart sank when he throwed it in the trash! Butter beans or any kind of garden vegetable requires bacon Grease! That's why our bacon is 3 times the price in the South😂
Makes very tasty gravy, adds extra flavor to beans and other dishes.
Originally from Missouri and my mom always had a container of bacon grease on the stove. Went in beans, eggs, cornbread, fried chicken, fried bread, vegetables. Can’t eat green beans without it.

325°F
Using lighter fluid to remove leftover paper and adhesive from labels is indeed a clever solution!

I use the hack for the honey on a spoon or a measuring cup, except I use the oil in a spray can to coat the spoon or measuring cup. That way it’s only a light coating and not a lot of oil if you just dipped it into the oil. But it works perfectly every time.
I’ve been spreading butter with the back of a spoon for years. Glad I’m not the only one 😂😊
