Black beard is a buccaneer and the special treat of the buccaneer to be able to consume more than one devil fruit that’s why vagabond is able to make the green blood
Angry Gear 5 is genuinely scary; Luffy, who is basically the living embodiment of freedom, has told Saturn “you’re not getting away”. His second grab of Kizaru also feels like “you had your chance to redeem yourself and threw it away. You’re done now.”
@@cesarkopp2not when he first got there. He showed up for the same reason that Rocks showed up, to raid the nobles. And Garp originally showed up just to fight Rodger, we don't know what caused them to fight together before it was over
In the panel with Vegapunk's recorded message, theres also what looks like a heartbeat monitor that has flatlined. Vegapunk had a dead man's switch ready to go to reveal everything he knew in case the government ever crossed him, I imagine.
That just means that next week with the VegaPunk lore drop is going to be INSANE and leave us to go crazy during break week waiting for the next chapter
@@RoshiMontegadon’t know if it will be lore drop more then it will just be the populace learning what we already know about the world government and ancient kingdom
@@fumky4768a few things. A. He's able to stop sanji with his power, And trying to downplay that beyond anything other than extremely impressive is just hating. B. Luffy was going toe to toe with KAIDO. that is not someone that anyone can just fight, WCI luffy got one tapped in g4 (who I would argue is stronger than post wano sanji) so luffy shitting on everyone makes sense C. (But more like B2) characters are not trash because their not top tier. Saturn is not weak just because he can't hit luffy. Saturn is at the very least yonko commander level, so while sure he doesn't hold a candle to luffy, he is still most certainly not a bum. Edit: spelling mistakes
Franky was the real chad here. The way he was instantly ready to defend his captain against 2 giant captains was the gigachad move we needed to see from him
It's interesting that Sanji says 'Saturn has given up evening pretending he is human' given this is an internal conflict Sanji faces himself, especially when you consider the rest of the Vinsmoke siblings and how inhuman they are
That and the emphasis on eyes this chapter is pretty cool, especially since this scene doesn't show Sanji's eyes. I think if Luffy has a full zoan form where Nika himself takes over somehow, he's turned into it now.
I think Saturn doesnt have a devil fruit power he is a devil/possesd by one and is going into "devil" mode. He wont just take punches anymore and his poison makes me belive we will see Ivankov soon to fix up Luffy
@@BaxsStudiosThrough the line of Sanji, Saturn being a human with a devil fruit, is a much better outcome for the story. He wasn't born a demon, he made himself into a demon through his action and his view of others. That's much heavier then an actual, magical demon.
and i just noticed this but the damn dude didn't even look at sanjir or luffy, he's looking straight at us 💀now I understand why I felt a lil scared when i first time reading it
The most terrifying thing I noticed about Saturn in this chapter is that he never seems to be looking at the characters; at Luffy or Sanji as he barrages them with his leg attacks - He's looking at you, the reader.
What did you expect? I mean, it's obvious we are in the endgame of the series, and everything that has been building over this years (characters, plots,...) is finally taking place. Everything what happens from now on is going to be very important for the story.
That final panel of Luffy holding off both an Admiral and a Star and looking absolutely dominatingly menacing over both of them gives a real "You're fucking with an EMPEROR" vibe. As if we needed a reminder how big of a deal he is now lol.
Gear 5 Luffy having a slightly vengeful side makes complete sense, since so many old school cartoon episode plots were about the main character being slighted in some way and retaliating with full toon force
It'd be peak if his hair was blonde like SJJ, I imagine the world would've gone insane. But so far it's been pretty underwhelming. Compare it to when Gear 4 first dropped and Gear 2 first dropped. We got Doffy/Katakuri and Lucci. Legendary fights. It has great potential but so far it's just been playing patty cake
@@jase276 did you say gear5 was underwhelming? lol did we watch the same luffy v kaido fight? lol c'mon lad But oh well, that's to you, it's your opinion, so you're entitled to it, for sure 😅
If the message from Vegapunk is indeed triggered by a dead man's switch, that would continue the trend of the WG screwing themselves with their own decisions.
@@pep4338 white beard wants to say something about that .... i mean even being swiss cheese would not be a reason to die in one piece .....or being a bird carrying a nuke ....or lets face it two people dropped unconscious in a vulcano and almost nobody thinks they a dead
I laughed so hard when gear five luffy got kizaru in his hands. Kizaru legitimately looks like he is regretting his life choices. He's so totally done with everything LMAO
Also, Vegapunk changing his request of the Strawhats from “get me off the island” to “keep Bonney safe” is so tragically sweet, and is making me wonder if Bonney will stick with the crew. And I love that, even with information *and* a logia fruit, Catarina and Van Auger still seem like they don’t want Caribou. Classic swamp man.
Yeah honestly I was starting to really dislike gear 5 the way All's he does is bounce around laughing And every once in a while throwing out a single punch Like for a power that's supposed to be about incredible levels of creativity and freedom all it was doing was the same thing over and over and over again
Egghead so far has really solidified my perception of Luffy as an Emperor. Since Enies Lobby, Luffy's role in the crew as the captain was to be the guy who beats the bad guys and protects his crew. So far, he's fought off Lucci (who is arguably Commander level), Kizaru and now Saturn and Kizaru again, while his crew handles everything in the background. Luffy *feels* like the one who needs to be surpassed in order to be beaten and not the other way around as it has been for the last 20+ years. Just great stuff. Can't wait for the next chapter and the lore dump.
He hasn't done anything though besides get the better of lucci. Lucci still escaped, Vegapunk got terribly wounded, his clew is completely split up, Vegapunk clones got badly damaged and killed, Bonney almost died, and there's a Buster Cal on the Island that it only being held back by the Giants. All of this on Luffy's watch. He's by far the worst Emperor, even Blackbeard has more weight than him. Meanwhile, yonkou like Whitebeard and Big Mom can literally carry an Island on just their name alone. Shanks stopped a WAR with every Admiral present with just his presence. Luffy ain't shit. Can't even protect one girl because, again, if the Giants didn't stop that Vice Admiral, Bonney probably would be dead... AGAIN. Luffy's only job was to get Vegapunk off the Island safely and he couldn't even do that. Vegapunk got hit TWICE in front of Luffy, like wtf is he doing?
Angry gear 5 is amazing because it encompasses a very important aspect of Luffy’s character. He’s always happy-go-lucky until someone messes with his crew or his friends, at which point he will show just how strong he is to be able to goof off and do what he wants most of the time. Him getting serious has always been a cathartic moment in every arc, and I love that he can do it as Nika too
THIS is the level of strength we expect to see from a Yonko. Oda can't say that Luffy is in the ranks of Shanks, White Beard, or Kaido and show him NOT being monstrously strong. I appreciate circumstances limiting his ability to go all out so he isn't over powered
Facts! I love how this shows why Luffy became a Yonko while Kid and Law didn’t. When Law and Kid were faced with yonko level challenges, they failed. Luffy, having actually achieved yonko strength, can rise to the occasion.
@@ehubb not even that, i would go as far as saying Luffys Challange on Egghead is even bigger. Kid and Law "only" faced a yonko, Luffy faces an admiral (nearly an equal to a yonko) and one of the five elder stars (power on the scale of a yonko if not even a bit higher), and he seems to win right now. Law and Kid wouldve lost to Kizaru alone i say. So Luffy well earned his new yonko status and even started going to surpase this rank slowly
As far as we know for the moment Vegapunk mostly knows about the "forbidden history" because of the surviving books of Ohara. And since the scholars of Ohara were still searching for answers about what happened in the Void Century, I don't think Vegapunk can give a (full) answer about the Void Century and this will be something we learn through Robin when she discovers it or maybe when the 5 Elders and/or Emu are talking about it.
@@funchildrenchannel3913 I think the existence of Five Elders, Kuma's full innocence and also a little about forbidden century. But still the effect will be much higher if someone like Vegapunk says One Piece is real. This will create much commotion since Vegapunk in the eyes of common people is in fact a good guy who works for WG.
@@e.r.c.3717 I don't think someone like vegapunk, who is more just known for being an amazing scientist and a good guy, saying "the one piece is real" would have as much of an impact as whitebeard, the closest to attaining it, did. I think he will mention something about either the existence of Imu (since the rest of the world don't know he exists) or something about the void century (since he knows at least some parts of it, maybe not all, and thats why the WG are at Egghead in the first place)
The shot of Luffy grabbing Kizaru and Saint Saturn makes me think if this is how they will go about this from now on to showcase just how Luffy truly is an emperor now and they need more than just ONE strong opponent to take him on.
Caribou thought he got the upperhand by having all of those information while BB had Pudding ready to take it and Erase it from Carribou's memory😂😂😂 Poor Guy😂😂😂
I think Blackbeard is smarter than that. Caribou's power is extremely useful. That and the warp warp power makes BB pirates the quickest moving pirate crew in the story
This is the true power of gear 5!! Luffy is consistently carefree in this form because he CAN! The confidence in the power of this form leaves no room except to be carefree.
@@kamikaze.33 yeah because Vegapunk totally hasn't had his mind replicated in a robot or clone body already prepared just in case. Until we see actual confirmation from a trusted character that he's gone, Punk is just another Pell fake out
The thing that gets me about Kizaru, and some people are putting out the theory that he cauterized the wound of Vegapunk so he could be moved, but what if he was making sure to activate the "Dead Man's" switch at this time, and could possibly be why Vegapunk might be smiling too as I wouldn't put it past Oda to have a flashback with Kizaru being told that if something like this would happen that he would be the one to take out Vegapunk, by either Stella or possibly one of the satellite's like Shaka, which may also by why Shaka spoke with Dragon since I think he knew exactly what would happen once the Strawhats made it to Egghead.
damn that could actually be it, and it would be the only way Kizaru could be redeemed here. If the theory that Vegapunk isnt actually dead and transferred his consciousness into the computer (ie. its not a recording) it would be way less guilt on Kizaru as well, since hes not actually killing VP. on top of that it was more putting him out of his misery. He got stabbed with poison right?
@@mrrooter601 Saturn at that time had not coated himself in venom yet, but he might have been able to inject it into Vegapunk's body since the ends of his feet do almost look like the could be fangs (Just look at a tarantula's fangs, and iirc tarantulas can decide the amount of venom to inject into it's prey or at least some species can) And I didn't think about the transferred consciousness, but if that's the case, couldn't then there is also a chance of someone's consciousness to be transferred elsewhere, like the theory that S-Bear will have Kuma transferred into, or at least part of him who would be able to protect Bonny since everything in my gut is telling me she's not going to be part of the Strawhats, but will possibly be part of the Revolutionary Army like her dad, or part of the grand fleet. Personally what I would like is the theory if S-Bear going with Bonny and because of his buccaneer blood he's able to awaken some bits of memory or feelings kind of like how S-Snake has with the "Will" of Boa and they are able to travel the world like Bonny wanted with her father, but more like how Kuma and Ginny would have loved to.
I really want Vegapunk to make it out alive because if not it makes Luffy look like a punk. His literal ONLY job was to make sure Vegapuk gets out. But Vegapunk suffers TWO life-threatening hits TWICE in FRONT of Luffy. Like, Luffy is the worst Emperor, bro. He can't even protect one old man and one little girl, how can he protect entire Islands? Watch Blackbeard roll up to Fishman Island and not gaf.
Thing is I don't think Vegapunk had time to record this after luffy arrived meaning that he probably won't mention luffy being the sun god as he wasn't shure about it before he saw luffy transform
Just bouncing a theory off someone. What if vegapunk does tell of Nika, but not Luffy or the Void Century instead whomever awakened the fruit when the Iron Giant attacked Marie Jois? Vegapunk seems to be the only one with that knowledge, and we are waiting for Iron Oars to do something more than bob its head to the Drums of Liberation right?
saw a different theory here that what we are hearing is not a recording, but infact vegapunk (on death) transferring himself into a computer/backup. Which would make more sense for the mic check bit IMO. So while I dont expect him to make it out of this, I still think the message could include up to date info. He is the smartest man alive, and already proved he can transfer consciousnesses wirelessly, I dont think that this would be beyond him. especially since he had been planning to revolt (or at least was prepared to do so).
There are too many wildcards in play right now. The Giants, the Blackbeard pirates, Vegapunk's message, Caribou, & the ancient robot waking up. It's like Oda played laid down 5 jokers on the flop & told you to figure out which hand he was playing.
I would agree, if bonney wasn't 12 years old. The only way I could see it is an apprentice like Roger and Shanks but Luffy is NOT gonna take a 12 year old.
@@Thebiggestda The thing is, if they don't take her, who is going to protect her? I feel like with an army of Pacifistas she's a really big threat to the government. At the same time... An army of Pacifistas on Luffy's side can be very overpowered.
I reckon bonney will just stay behind in elbalf and stay protected it would be very dangerous for her to go with the crew considering she will have a huge target on her.
Counter offer: The Gorosei have duplicated the Human-Human fruit or found different "old man" versions of that and are actual Demons that can turn into Humans
I think it's pretty clear they are literal devils (in-universe, not bible devils lmao) BUT, regarding their powers, I think they naturally have a lot of powers: devil(fruit) powers
There is a theory that Im was the first to discover the lineage factor, which allowed him to give himself and the five abilities that seem magical even to devil fruit users
I rarely comment on any video and usually just consume on this platform. Im not even sure, if this will reach you but after this banger of a chapter i had to share my thoughts. I love One Piece. For over 20 years im lovin it and for like 15 years on a weekly basis. I never could have imagined, that a youtube channel could potentially make this series i love so much even better. I think i watch your videos since just before you implemented those jokes at the beginning of the video. One of those made me laugh so hard that i had to subscribe. Ever since that fateful day, I never missed an upload from you. And because of that nostalgia im so thrilled that you brought back your classic line at the end. Please keep what your doin and im gonna be here for the ride. Thank you Liam. And also: i think you mentioned in another video that some people fear that luffy wont be shown with a serious look like he used to have in big climactic situations after getting the gear 5th upgrade. This chapter proved, that it is still very much possible!
He is allowed cause he is strong, as for caribuo he is just low level that relies on df fruit. One thing important is if bb already know that secret of ancient wepons since he knows alot about the secret of df fruit and its powers
@minuii True bb may decide to use him for that info and than extract his df and get rid of him (because its an extremely useful df) and give to 1 of his crewmembers
Vegapunk is 100% dead. If you look closely during the last couple of panels with the monitor playing Vegapunk's final message, there's an electrocardiogram next to it. And it's unfortunate to say this, but it flatlines in time with Vegapunk smiling in Sanji's arm. Vegapunk's final message was most likely his ultimate contingency plan. If the government was coming to kill him, he was sure to have the last laugh against them by revealing the truth of the world. Rest easy to the legend. Hopefully Atlas, Eddison, and Lilith are able to carry on his legacy.
he did a mic check though, which leads me to believe it could be live. im pretty sure you can see some video transponder snails in that same frame as well. If VP had this planned out long before, why bother with a mic check, a thing that is generally associated with live recordings. If you were doing something in advance, you would not leave that in the final cut. To add to this, what is one thing Vegapunk has provably done, is split/transfer his being. I dont think the idea of him having himself backed up (or transferred on death) to that big computer we see in the same frame is too far fetched. His body is dead, but I have a feeling the Stella VP is still around. I dont think he will make it out of this in the end, as the island is certainly going to be completely destroyed, so backing himself up to the mainframe as it were wont do much.
Considering that Vegapunk was basically able to split himself into six with the satellites it wouldn't surprise me if found a way to cheat death through transferring his consciousness into another body. Sure Oda has been better with character deaths in recent years but until we see definitive confirmation that Vegapunk is dead I'm not holding my breath.
I am the only who notice that every EMPEROR has a second personality Big Mom ( Hunger Pang) Kaido( Drunk) Buggy( Coward and Brave) Blackbeard( sometimes coward and mastermind) Luffy.... Maybe shanks has to
10:21 I remember being at the Prado museum in the room with all of Francisco (pronounced "Franthisco", not "Franchisco") Goya's Black Paintings, and seeing a man bringing his son's attention to Saturn's painting (the kid looked around 4 years old). The poor thing hid behind his father's legs in fear and refused to keep looking, even when his dad told him it was okay, and that it was an important artpiece
I saw someone on Twitter say it and it was so cool I wanted to say it here, that nobody will believe Vegapunk and he’ll be called a clown in the media for blasphemy
One thing that always bothered me is, how do the Strawhats not have a few Sea Prism Stone handcuffs for people like Caribou who stow away on their ship. They could have easily stolen from Marine ships.
Thinking about it now, Caribou would honestly fit perfectly as a member or Blackbeard pirates. He's somewhat mysterious, he has a devil fruit, and could have some role in the crew by sneaking them into places. And also judging on how Caribou has been with straw hats since fishman island, he knows that the straw hats are considered to be both heroes on fishman and wano.
My Biggest Takes from the chapter: The panel of Sanji standing before Saturn is Pure Nightmare Fuel, like this scared me as much as Big Mom’s Demon Form in the Manga. Luffy, Kizaru, Saturn fight right now is truly a Battle of the Gods. I think Kizaru stabbing Vegapunk was him being like “I did the bare minimum of my job.” Vegapunk was already dying. As for what Vegapunk will reveal…there’s a chance he doesn’t… the last time a World Government secret was about to be released…[REDACTED] was wiped off the map because The Mythical Kingdom of Lulusia never existed. I’m sure everyone in the Manga Reviewer Community(myself included) will be both making and taking bets.
One thing you may have missed is that in one of the last panels, there seems to be a telemetry (heart) monitor that is going from normal sinus rhythm to flat. This may be grasping at straws here, but this could be Oda's way of confirming that Vegapunk is dead. Also, the damage that Luffy was doing to Kizaru by squeezing him is insane. That whole page has a menacing vibe to it
Really the only thing I can think of if I want to make the "Kizaru redemption" work is: The laser he shot at Vegapunk cauterized the existing hole and made it possible for Vegapunk to be moved. But thats really stretching it at this point... :D
@@emanxxxmane yeah I was thinking maybe I'm just getting old and just just getting annoyed by the theorizers and fanbases but I guess I was starting to be right and its just them over speculating
In the last page there is also a heart monitor, seemingly connected to the TV, with a heart line zeroing out before Vegapunks last message started. So at the very least his heart is not beating anymore
I wonder if we'll see the broadcast next chapter, or if we'll see a backstory that tells the truth about the world, or Vegapunk's story of discovering it 🤔
I think the only way Vegapunk's getting out of this alive is if Kizaru's laser just went through the same hole exactly and cauterized his Saturn wounds, which really does feel like a coin flip with how this story's been going.
No idea what it could mean, but I love the fact that Luffy's straw hat is the only thing that retains its size when he goes giant. It's certainly deliberate, and I wonder if it's something that matters.
Aside Sanji mentioning the smile and starting the waterworks for me, you can also see what I'm assuming is a heart monitor flat-lining in front of the screen with Vegapunks video playing.
nailed it edit: he isnt going to make it out of this (the island is almost certainly going to end up destroyed, along with his backup), but im positive the one giving the message is a live backup
Just something that came to me when you were on about how teach couldn’t trust Caribou as he could be a double agent, traitor etc, couldn’t doc Q with his sick-sick fruit be possibly able to create a truth serum? If so the possibilities could endless especially when the Blackbeard pirates go to mary geoise looking for answers
I saw people mentioning that kizaru pierced vegapunk at the exact same spot as he was already wounded So some where speculating Kizaru cauterized the injury so it doesn't gets worse
8:47 I'd like to think that Saturn's appearance is more inspired by Berserks apostles, which still fits with Eldenring since most fromsoftware titels are heavily influenced by berserk
Sadly im pretty sure Vegapunk being dead. On last page is showing a panel where the computer starts his recording, is a heart monitor showing line getting flat. Rest in peace apple gramps, at least world will hear you.
I think the information Vegapunk about to reveal to the world must be the driving force of Dragon / Revolutionary Army's battle against the world government. In a meta sense, Oda will not want to reveal all the cards now, but I think the crumbs he is about to drop will be large enough for us to at least understand why figures like Dragon and Vegapunk are on the other side of the World Government. It will be a great setup for the next arc, Elbaf where we expect massive diarrhea level of lore drop. Whatever it is, it's peak time for One Piece !
We Already Know What The Message Is Chapter 1108 ended on a big note with Vegapunk announcing that he will reveal “the truth of this world” to everyone in it, and this understandably got a lot of people excited. Maybe a bit too excited... I say this because I’ve seen a lot of people assume that we are finally getting a flashback or revelation of what happened during the Void Century. I want everyone to temper their expectations because I do not think this is going to happen. Remember: Vegapunk only read SOME of the books from Ohara, not Poneglyphs, and everything he knows about Void Century is ONLY A THEORY! While Vegapunk clearly has knowledge of and has studied the poneglyphs, he still has no idea what is on them as he cannot read the text. It’s also far too early (ironic, I know) for us to learn the secrets of the Void century, as I believe Oda has reserved that for a flashback we are going to see once we learn what the actual treasure of One Piece is. After all, Rayleigh himself has said that they (the Roger Pirates) learned all about the Void Century once they found the great treasure. What I think the message Vegapunk is going to share with the world is something Egghead Arc has delved into even before it started, from Wano Arc itself, and it’s the existence of... Sun God Nika. This entire arc is incessantly going on and on about Nika: Kuma’s life revolves around his belief in Nika, a great savior of slaves everywhere, and Kuma’s attempt to emulate him. Thanks to Kuma, Bonney’s life also heavily revolves around Nika, as she has been searching for him ever since she set out to see him, and in searching for him, she was looking for a reason to believe in him, which she just recently got. She has finally found her and her dad’s savior. Saturn, the main arc villain, fears Nika and his powers as he is seemingly sworn enemy of the gods (Celestial Dragons). The Gorosei are desperate to keep his existence a secret, going so far as to attempt to hide Luffy’s Gear 5 appearance on his Wanted poster (which they failed to do). The Giants arrived on Egghead because Luffy, who they know is Nika, is there. Luffy’s Gear 5th was brought into question literally two chapters into the arc when Bonney brought up that he doesn’t look like his wanted poster. He has been overusing Gear 5th in so far every fight on Egghead: against Lucci, against Kizaru, and against Saturn. And then there is Vegapunk, who clearly knows about the Sun God Nika and, much like Bonney, made that connection (more of a confirmation) once he saw Luffy in action. So, I’m pretty confident that what Vegapunk is going to reveal to the world are the injustices perpetuated by the World Government (which includes the name of the Ancient Kingdom) and the man meant to correct them. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Luffy went giant just as the Giants of Elbaf, who are aware of him being Nika, came to the island and are currently headed towards his location. We just might get confirmation that the previous Joyboy was a giant, something theorized ever since we saw the Giant Straw Hat on Marijoas, as we learn more about him from Vegapunk, tying it all together with what is happening on the screen: Giant Luffy fighting alongside Giants. However… This is all that there is to it. We, the readers, are already well aware of how awful the Navy and the World Government are. This is neither any new information for us nor something that we would have trouble believing in, as we have seen what the Navy and WG do. How is Vegapunk going to convince your average One Piece Joe that what he is saying is true, and what new information is he going to reveal to us (the readers)? And the answer is rather simple: Kuma. The word used to describe the great incident on Egghead Island includes "shock," which is the same in both the English and Japanese versions. In Chapter 1078, you can see that the kanji used for “shock” in one of the panels is the same as the one used in “Ursus Shock," Kuma’s attack. Even in the latest chapter (1108), Vegapunk plays the pun game again, mentioning both “Bear (with me)” and “Shock”; “Bear Shock." “Ursus” is Latin for bear. It’s “Ursus Shock.” This isn’t an original theory, but it seems like it’s the correct one. It seems like Vegapunk will use the power of Kuma’s Devil Fruit to help convince people around the world that what he is saying is indeed true by showing them what kind of people they are. As for what new piece of information we, the readers, are going to learn, in addition to the aforementioned Nika Lore, I’ll just leave this Q&A from SBS Volume 48 (Dokusha means Reader and O means Oda): D: Excuse me!! May I pose a serious question to the typically-vulgar SBS?? In Volume 46, Usopp said that the same power doesn't exist twice. But this doesn't make sense with what you said in the Volume 45 SBS... If the Gomu Gomu no Mi was in a book of fruits, then Luffy HAD to have eaten at least the SECOND known example of the fruit! Now, most beautiful and intelligent Ei-chan, explain it all! ✩ P.N. Takafi O: Very sharp of you. But I'm cool. I haven't made any mistakes. As a hint, let me rephrase what Usopp is saying. "The same powers don't exist twice AT THE SAME TIME." How's that? For more detail, you'll just have to wait for a certain professor to make his appearance in the story and explain exactly what the Devil Fruits REALLY are... eventually. TL;DR Vegapunk is going to use his Internet in combination with the power of Kuma’s Paw Paw Fruit to show the inhabitants of One Piece World the true nature of the Navy and World Government and the horrible crimes they committed, while we, the readers, are going to learn about Sun God Nika and the origin of Devil Fruits. Why exactly? You will have to read the whole post.
Being faced by a gigantic opponent with crazy strong haki and a sun god fruit telling you you have no chance in hell of escaping would be horrifying lol
I imagine the situation where vegapunk is about to reveal the most important thing, and at exactly that moment, Chopper "fixes" him up or resurrects him, and the message cuts, to keep us readers still in the dark.
I think it's worth noting Kizaru's stab was seemingly in the same place Vegapunk was stabbed before. It could work as an impromptu searing to close the wound?
Actually it was proven putting the caster of the orders out of commission gives the ability for someone else to give orders, one example is why up until york was put out of commission they couldnt lock the seraphim up or give orders to them despite there being 5 more vegapunks to order them, also another example is sentomaru who is above admirals on the seraphim and pacifista command order, lost command after sentomaru got knocked out by kizaru
What if Kizaru blasted Vegapunk in the exact same place Saturn stabbed him? That way he could still look like he was doing his job while doing the least amount of damage possible and maybe even save Vegapunk's life by cauterizing his wound so he doesn't bleed out. Also it was adorable how small Atlas looked standing next to the giants
If you read that panel of Vegapunk's message going out, it looked like it was attached to a heart monitor going flat. I think he set it up to go off and send the message after he died so that the world government could not stop it.
When Stella appears on the monitor he does a mic check which leads me to believe he isn't actually "dead" but that his og body has just given out and his brain is still functional. After all the dudes been somehow living with his brain outside of his body, so what was Stella but another satellite, albiet a fleshy one.
If world govt is so hell bent on letting the world be 'unaware' of the ancient kingdom and void century. Then why the hell are they not on high pursue of capturing each and every roger pirates? Is it something to do with any deal with shanks or they know that other people reaching laugh tale is of no concern unless it is joyboy?
It’s chilling how Gear 5 Luffy is telling Saturn and Kizaru they will be the ones not escaping now. I think we are about to see the full capabilities of Gear 5 something that was teased with Kaido.
I don't kow if im seeing things that aren't there, but it looks like Kizaru "donuted" Dr. Vegapnk on the right side of the chest where no heart is, like if he was saying "I'm gonna hurt Vegapunk once more so Saturn trusts me 100% and I can turn my back on him in the next chapter."
That was too emotional, since the beginning of One Piece we all have been waiting 25 years to learn the mystery of this world. And now hopefully vegapunk will reveal the truth. Thanks Oda, 25 years such a long long way 😭😭😭😘
did you know that that painting was posthumously given a name? People did not actually know what the artist had called it (if he even had a name for it). From the paintings wiki page: Saturn Devouring His Son was one of six works Goya painted in the dining room.
AGAIN.
What if he just says One Piece is real! I have proven it’s existence by Science. 😂😂
The most probable is the truth about EMO or the void century
@@e.r.c.3717 I don't think someone like vegapunk, who is more just known for being an amazing scientist and a good guy, saying "the one piece is real" would have as much of an impact as whitebeard, the closest to attaining it, did. The shot of Luffy grabbing Kizaru and Saint Saturn makes me think if this is how they will go about this from now on to showcase just how Luffy truly is an emperor now and they need more than just ONE strong opponent to take him on.

@@mrrooter601 Saturn at that time had not coated himself in venom yet, but he might have been able to inject it into Vegapunk's body since the ends of his feet do almost look like the could be fangs (Just look at a tarantula's fangs, and iirc tarantulas can decide the amount of venom to inject into it's prey or at least some species can)
And I didn't think about the transferred consciousness, but if that's the case, couldn't then there is also a chance of someone's consciousness to be transferred elsewhere, like the theory that S-Bear will have Kuma transferred into, or at least part of him who would be able to protect Bonny since everything in my gut is telling me she's not going to be part of the Strawhats, but will possibly be part of the Revolutionary Army like her dad, or part of the grand fleet.
Personally what I would like is the theory if S-Bear going with Bonny and because of his buccaneer blood he's able to awaken some bits of memory or feelings kind of like how S-Snake has with the "Will" of Boa and they are able to travel the world like Bonny wanted with her father, but more like how Kuma and Ginny would have loved to.

saw a different theory here that what we are hearing is not a recording, but infact vegapunk (on death) transferring himself into a computer/backup.

Hopefully Atlas, Eddison, and Lilith are able to carry on his legacy.
damn i never noticed that.
he did a mic check though, which leads me to believe it could be live. im pretty sure you can see some video transponder snails in that same frame as well.

I'm pretty sure that barrel they had Caribou locked had the chains of Sea Prism Stone cuff wrapped around it.
Pretty sure no pirate crews really have sea prism stones. Plus, most of the crew are devil fruit users so that'd probably bite them
Thinking about it now, Caribou would honestly fit perfectly as a member or Blackbeard pirates.
The irony he was given a Meat Pie… when BB first met Luffy, Luffy ate meat while BB ate pies. Oda is the greatest at foreshadowing.
That whole page has a menacing vibe to it
Really the only thing I can think of if I want to make the "Kizaru redemption" work is:
The laser he shot at Vegapunk cauterized the existing hole and made it possible for Vegapunk to be moved.
But thats really stretching it at this point... :D
I always felt like people were getting their hopes up too much on his redemption and i started getting tired of it and eyup i was right
It is unlikely but I was also thinking Kizaru did kind of hit Vegapunk at possibly the same spot he was stabbed before.
Same
Tearing up a hole isn't cauterizing lmao
ppl are really clutching on that redemption arc
@@soaringstars314I thought it was a meme like there’s no way people are STILL serious 😭
@@emanxxxmane yeah I was thinking maybe I'm just getting old and just just getting annoyed by the theorizers and fanbases but I guess I was starting to be right and its just them over speculating
Don't forget that saturn calling many of them as insects
At first i thought Kizaru's lazer was maybe cauterizing Vegapunks wound, but the trigger of the final message does point towards death.
With Luffy being so big with Gear 5th in that last panel I think the giant straw hat at Pangea Castle at Mery Geoise will now fit him.
VP isn't dead, his body may be, but his consciousness is stored on punk records.
nailed it
edit: he isnt going to make it out of this (the island is almost certainly going to end up destroyed, along with his backup), but im positive the one giving the message is a live backup
8:04 Actually they did rescue a ship of scholars from Egghead before going there so that's probably what he was talking about.
I saw people mentioning that kizaru pierced vegapunk at the exact same spot as he was already wounded
So some where speculating Kizaru cauterized the injury so it doesn't gets worse
To me it looked like Kizaru hit the same spot as Saturn. He might have cauterized the wound to keep Vegapunk alive while keeping up appearances.
10:22 Was not expecting a jump scare
I think the information Vegapunk about to reveal to the world must be the driving force of Dragon / Revolutionary Army's battle against the world government. In a meta sense, Oda will not want to reveal all the cards now, but I think the crumbs he is about to drop will be large enough for us to at least understand why figures like Dragon and Vegapunk are on the other side of the World Government. It will be a great setup for the next arc, Elbaf where we expect massive diarrhea level of lore drop. Whatever it is, it's peak time for One Piece !
0:44 why did bro have a sandy shocks in the background
We Already Know What The Message Is
Chapter 1108 ended on a big note with Vegapunk announcing that he will reveal “the truth of this world” to everyone in it, and this understandably got a lot of people excited.
This entire arc is incessantly going on and on about Nika:
Kuma’s life revolves around his belief in Nika, a great savior of slaves everywhere, and Kuma’s attempt to emulate him.
However…
This is all that there is to it.
It’s “Ursus Shock.”
This isn’t an original theory, but it seems like it’s the correct one. It seems like Vegapunk will use the power of Kuma’s Devil Fruit to help convince people around the world that what he is saying is indeed true by showing them what kind of people they are.
As for what new piece of information we, the readers, are going to learn, in addition to the aforementioned Nika Lore, I’ll just leave this Q&A from SBS Volume 48 (Dokusha means Reader and O means Oda):
D: Excuse me!! ✩ P.N. Takafi
O: Very sharp of you. But I'm cool. I haven't made any mistakes. As a hint, let me rephrase what Usopp is saying. "The same powers don't exist twice AT THE SAME TIME." How's that? For more detail, you'll just have to wait for a certain professor to make his appearance in the story and explain exactly what the Devil Fruits REALLY are... eventually.
TL;DR
Vegapunk is going to use his Internet in combination with the power of Kuma’s Paw Paw Fruit to show the inhabitants of One Piece World the true nature of the Navy and World Government and the horrible crimes they committed, while we, the readers, are going to learn about Sun God Nika and the origin of Devil Fruits. Why exactly? You will have to read the whole post.
12:00 "this sun god does indeed have a vengeful side" goes hard
14:24 Maybe Kizaru cauterizing Vegapunk’s wound. The lazer that hit Vegapunk is where he got stabbed by Saturn.
Being faced by a gigantic opponent with crazy strong haki and a sun god fruit telling you you have no chance in hell of escaping would be horrifying lol
The demon of laughter is possibly the most sadistic of all
I imagine the situation where vegapunk is about to reveal the most important thing, and at exactly that moment, Chopper "fixes" him up or resurrects him, and the message cuts, to keep us readers still in the dark.
I think it's worth noting Kizaru's stab was seemingly in the same place Vegapunk was stabbed before. It could work as an impromptu searing to close the wound?
I have a feeling that Vegapunk's message might contain something that could possibly awaken the giant robot (We are still waiting)
What if Kizaru “burned”/“Sealed” Vegapunk’s internal wounds to stop some of the bleeding?
What if Kizaru blasted Vegapunk in the exact same place Saturn stabbed him? That way he could still look like he was doing his job while doing the least amount of damage possible and maybe even save Vegapunk's life by cauterizing his wound so he doesn't bleed out.
Also it was adorable how small Atlas looked standing next to the giants
If you read that panel of Vegapunk's message going out, it looked like it was attached to a heart monitor going flat. I think he set it up to go off and send the message after he died so that the world government could not stop it.
Clover is most definitely dead because we saw him get show point blank in the face by that marine guy when he was talking about the ancient kingdom.
Thanks Oda, 25 years such a long long way 😭😭😭😘
For some reason, I feel like Oda will hold up that announcement for 10 chapters 😂
Nah, it's the Reverie all over again. Watch it be offscreened and we get bread crumbs like 100 chapters later, lol
did you know that that painting was posthumously given a name? People did not actually know what the artist had called it (if he even had a name for it). From the paintings wiki page: Saturn Devouring His Son was one of six works Goya painted in the dining room. It is important to note that Goya never named the works he produced at Quinta del Sordo; the names were assigned by others after his death
I think Sanji is fine. I dont really participate in the whole agenda thing, but imo getting kicked bx Kizaru and being right back up is pretty impressive. If anything he should get some criticism for letting Vegapunk die
