Dave this is a perfect topology video. I understand now. Also I subdivided the Multi-Res, activated smooth shading, smooth little object. I can duplicate 100x. Thank you
I don't understand. I'm on android but I do have Quad Remesh, under misc. It doesn't have many options (just the target quads) but it's there! I even used It on a complex model, works good after decimating from hi poly.. Is It something else? Maybe a less advanced algorythm?
@@drugfreedave I just bought the regular licence, nothing else. Maybe it's a less advanced tool.. I read the thread on Nomad forum.. No clue there. Still, it's very useful!
@@drugfreedave I didn't buy any add on, just the base license, but I guess it's probably not the real thing but a less advanced tool.. maybe, don't know for sure
Thank you so much for this! I’m trying to use Plushify for the first time and because I had weird topology it was NOT going well! This vid saved me some serious headache!
Aleays great content. Does anyone know why in trim I don't have rectangle option? Also, why i can only use tube once. The only way arpund tube issue seems to be to save, exit Nomad and .then go in again
I guess a more “advanced” use for Quad Remesher would be for creating a “low poly” (low polygon count) 3D model for, say, saving and importing into a game engine. So, if you have a “high poly” (high resolution, high polygon count) 3D model that you have “texture painted”, you could duplicate the “3D mesh” for this model and then use Quad Remesher to drastically lower the polygon count of this duplicate model ( ie. create a “low poly” version of the original “high poly” model). Then, I think Nomad Sculpt has a “reproject” function, which you can use to “reproject” the high-poly 3D models’s “UV texture map” onto the low-poly 3D model. You then can export this low-poly 3D model, complete with a nice, detailed texture map, for use in a game engine, for example.
Could you show us how quad remesher work on more complex models like a face? I’d love to upgrade but I’d want to see how it works first before jumping in headfirst 😅
I'm also an Android user. I bought a Tab s10 Ultra mostly for Nomad so was gutted when you mentioned this tool wasn't on the Android version.. but as others have stated a quad remesher is available in the misc section. It's just not very good. I replicated your example with a trimmed sphere and the results were very messy. Back to being gutted.. although saying that I usually do most of my retopo work in 3DCoat anyway. It just would a been a massive boost to use a nice, tidy mesh as a base.
I wasted 600 euros buying a Samsung S9 256 GB and 8RAM just to use Nomad... I realized that quad remesher is only for IOS, so without that tool, this program is almost useless, unless you just want to make concept. I find it disrespectful to the user that only Apple has this tool. and yes, it's my fault for not reading more about nomad but I would be happy to pay for the tool... :(
I know, at least there should be a retopology app for Android but there is absolutely nothing. I ended up buying a Samsung Galaxy S9 FE plus knowing that it wouldn't have Quad Remesher ONLY because I'll be able to continue using this tablet for the next 10 years without it becoming obsolete like an iPad.
Why hasn’t it come to android? forum.nomadsculpt.com/t/will-quad-remesher-come-to-android-versions-in-future-updates/15030

So you’re able to purchase the add-on android? 🤔

I worked in Maya when I was in school and once Quad Remesher was added to Nomad I was so excited.
Quad Remesher is a gamechanger in Nomad. It help a lot with the retopology
So glad you posted this! I literally just finished a sculpt which came out to be 1million plus. Now that I’ve purchased the quad I can start over.
When it comes to lowering poly count, you can also use decimate! 👍🏾💯
Was waiting for your video explaining this. I love how you explain things so easy to learn thank you!
Glad to help, thanks for swinging by the channel!
Learned so much over the past couple day's with your videos 😅
I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos! I try to make them as easy to understand as possible.
Quad remesher... I never knew! Thanks!
I'm glad it helped! Happy New Year! 🎊
@0:29 🤭🤣🤣
Thanks for the lesson 🫶🏽 Happy New Year Dave 🎉
Thank you Dave, topology can be frustrating and this video really helped :)
I know the feeling, topology is a beast! Glad it helped 😊
Very nice video!
I am so glad, I wanted to know about nomad sculpt topology.
Thank you Dave! This is very beneficial! Happy a very Happy New Year! 🎈🎊🎆
Happy New Year to you too! 🎉

admiro demais ,muito talento 💓💗🧡💛
とてもいい事を知れました!ボクセルの値を変更する度、不均等になる表面に悩んでいました...やってみます!
Is there any chance of the quad remesher ever getting developed to Android, you think?
Great id like to see one on face groups and what they are and how they are used :D
Here is the forum partaining to it if this link works: forum.nomadsculpt.com/t/will-quad-remesher-come-to-android-versions-in-future-updates/15030

Not mentioned: Quad Remesher is a paid add on.
yes, you also saw what I saw

I have an android tablet from xppen and i have quad remesher on my nomad
I will add, I don't see it in tools but under a different menu
You’ve purchased the add-on on your android? 🤔
Android user here.
Edit: Also only using for designing 3D printed miniatures. I don't care about animation or rendering in color.
Lol good video
Thanks! I was so confused when I started out, always hearing certain terms, always hated that feeling :)
Hope they add it soon in android :(
Unfortunately they won't. Quad remesher developer didn't want to port to android because of the low sale percentage on Android compared to iOS

@@everbita1723you’re wrong, it’s fine to use nomad with an base model iPad from 2017
Android users: 🥲
I do feel bad about that!
