Thanks. There is also a rounded edge tool that ProcreateFX and Dave Reed have made that is also very handy. I would check that out as well. th-cam.com/video/VwSjRKU7bsk/w-d-xo.html
You made it to my playlist 3D, that means it’s a gem. I am a complete beginner and even struggle with the settings of the primitives before I use my stamp. But I will sort it out.
Really interesting. Don’t hesitate to show experimental techniques. Often I discover something weird or interesting, and then realise best practical use for it at a later time!
I totally agree! I actually learn a surprising amount more from experimental abstraction than I do from a full featured tute making a finished sculpt. Very very good tutes! More!
Thanks! This was super useful. The “random” first half was the useful part. Every 3D tool has clear cut ways to make practical stuff, but what I appreciate about nomad is how crazy and creative the shapes can get when you stack up multiple effects. With nearly 2 decades in zbrush, I find their lack of the non-committed shapes, or hierarchy incredibly limiting. I’m loving learning creative uses of nomad, and the more tangential your examples are, the more I can think of new uses of the tool.
This is really great to hear. You are reassuring my own instincts to continue making things I also think are random but more interesting. Thanks h2olt!
By the way: To smooth the whole object evenly, the Round All / Round Edges Brush is much more economical with resources than radial symmetry. Great tutorial.
Great tutorial thank you. I am totally new to nomad and sculpting. I come from a mechanical cad background. Easy tutorials to start sculpting are rear to find. You re great on making it clear to understand. Thank you
It's about time that baby started paying off. Another great way to create brushes is, when you run into a celebrity, have them sign their autograph directly in your Procreate artboard, and then apply Gaussian Blur. Maybe not right in front of them, but you get the point. Take care.
honestly this is a really fun and helpful tutorial. I just started using nomad (I have used blender) but these tips are so helpful for creation and design options
Thank you. I don't know about best, but I appreciate the comment😄 I am just wrapping up recording another video that shows more Stamp Deform tricks. This will extend what you can do with this tool. I should have this edited soon.

Sorry, no I do not have a Skillshare course. It was a poorly executed joke about a Skillshare course on making brushes, because my brushes were so crude and terrible. I thought about a Patreon, but if I do start that, I would definitely offer a higher tier of assets and tutorials for anyone willing to support me that way. I feel bad that I am only able to put out a video every couple of weeks at the moment. It's a limitation of time for me. TH-cam is a side passion, and I work fulltime and do freelance. And then there is spending time with my family, so it's busy at all times. One day, I would love for TH-cam to be full-time. Dreams! I am taking suggestions on courses you'd like see though.
Good question. I am not sure. What device do you use? I know that there are some differences between iOS and Android. For me, I'm on iOS and when I tap Stamp Settings, it states "This tool doesn't have any specific settings." I am going to try and find the answer for you though.
@@making-things no, I reset all to default and it still does not match yours. I’m using 1.90. Don’t worry about it, just didn’t know if you knew of a setting, thanks!
The tip with dragging the smooth tool with it on all the radial symmetries is amazing for smoothing out without losing detail, thank you for that!

How did you get the alpha selector to the lower left corner? I have to navigate the stamp settings to select mine
