that looks really nice, really good backpurging there .. I tend to use solarflux to save on gas. I'd love to try some stainshield gas but only have access to Pure argon from a local supplier , i'm not convinced its high quality as I don't really get nice colouring and have used boc gas before and got some nice colours !
Depending on the gas diffusion method, open gaps, and position of the gas inlet in the part, it's possible it'd take almost an eternity to get a terrific purge. It only takes around 100PPM oxygen to really dirty up the back. Always use some sort of material to softly and gently diffuse the gas, rather than squirt a jet straight from a hose directly into the part. And on top of that, always always ALWAYS purge from the bottom up. Imagine you're filling it up with water, in your head. Filling it top down just mixes everything continuously, and the only way to obtain a good purge when there's loads of mixing is an absurd amount of purge time. Gentle gas, from the bottom, will always net you a perfect purge.

Interesting, might be a good project to make a little weighted diffuser for the end of the purge pipe to keep it on the bottom of the parts.
What size filler did you use ?
1/16th, would have liked 40 thou, but I'm running short of thinner wires so using up the 1/16th
