Part 2 of making a funnel for the coffee grinder, I've linked some videos here, these are channels from which I have learned a lot and have shared such valuable information. Pro shaper - th-cam.com/video/SnZSinB-yUw/w-d-xo.html. welding tips and tricks - th-cam.com/video/5v5ceQnVlnA/w-d-xo.html Ron Covell - yes I could have made a smooth bend around a facetted form. but I quite liked the facets...

Sometimes when you encounter radio issues, you might need to lay off moaning at the avionics guys and have your maintenance provider check out sources of interference from the aircraft. We are so used to metal aeroplanes not giving many interference problems it easy to forget that the same principles apply, shielding, grounding and bonding, as with wooden or composite aircraft.

No wet install with primer or alodine in that bear metal???
My aviation class watched this video and had no idea what was going on
Thanks for the video. I guess this is what I need to do. I had mine for a bit more than 10yr. My machine keeps heating up, even if it just heated up. I am guessing it is the heating element. for rancilio silvia
Don’t drag back with your carbide insert they are prone to chipping the tip wind back out it will help as well
Most machinists think that carbide is the be all and end all of cutting tools but they couldn't be more wrong, personally i never use carbide for plastics or soft metals because they're completely unsuitable and there were many times when I've had to use HSS on steels because the carbides just didn't suit the job/ circumstances.
One of the finest value for money machine tools ever.
Just replaced my heating element with great help from this video. Thank you! I couldn't get the braided hose detached from the pump so detached from the boiler. Couldn't get the steam wand pipe off on both ends so detached from boiler and bent it out of the way... Couldn't get the valve hose off the boiler so just left it on... But in the end it all worked and no leaks, no tripped outlets, and great cappuccino this morning finally. Thanks again
I will remember this during my principles of flight exam
I don't know if you're still keeping up with this (or for that matter, even alive), but how are you getting on with the Astoria now? I've got a crack at one and was wondering about your long term experience with it.
Best explanation. Kudos to you.

Great idea! Any chance you could post a pic of the finished result please?
Thank you! 👏👏👏
One old journeyman (not a moron) A&P told me he got a job at a major Navy depot facility by answering the simple question "How do you know you've got a good hi-lok?" Answer: "It goes in *hard*." Go-no go gages are nice and all and necessary, but at the end of the day, if it doesn't go in hard it's no good. Nice touch with the chromate paste. Mastinox - top choice of oncologists worldwide. Now go wash your hands.
That’s a good video, showing the effect of what mass balancing does, but I think you should talk about why it works? The oscillation begins when the control surface moves this causes the hinge point to also move in the opposite direction. Under some conditions the movement will quickly amplify into flutter. Adding mass tends to cancel the oscillation because as the hinge point is moving up or down the mass creates a counter force to cancel the oscillation.
This is very helpful. Good job!
For HL70, you can have the hilok threads flush with no threads out, it will meet minimum protrusion. Hl70 is significantly taller than other hilok collars
Well if it's shower of sparks, then no pins to worry about, or impulse couplers.
Wow clamping the spar cap in a vise like that surely isn't a good idea?
Well, it wouldn't be a good idea on a serviceable spar, but this one is already scrap due to exfoliation corrosion.
I really appreciate following your troubleshooting technique. And I sure recognize all exclamations of difficulty accessing difficult trouble shooting locations. Good work.
Great video
Thanks! This is the best explanation I have seen on flutter.
Thanks mate, very useful.
Cessnas are death traps bogged down by lists and lists and lists. Experimentals are modern and have less of this crap. 172's are bought by people who trained on them and like the comfort zone that will kill them.
Retired machinist/toolmaker here (40+ years). This is painful to watch…. If you need to polish anything to size, you’re NOT a machinist. If you can’t maintain a surface finish (as specified by a blueprint) without polishing, you’re NOT a machinist. You should be able to maintain size and surface finish with either carbide or HSS if you know what you’re doing.
Try all that on a clapped out worn machine, then come back and tell us.
What a great video. So educational. Thank you!
I can't imagine how difficult it is to not only fit a new element, but film yourself doing so. Nice video!!! 👍

they used 3,5 mm crush copper washers on my boiler. Hard to find those. Ended up using washer and lomax only. No tape!

Hi. Could you say what model of engine you used?
Love all your vids working my way though them all, im an old skool mechanic so this work facinates me, im currently putting an ARV super back together so some of the tips are really useful to me. Thank you.
Wonderful Videos! Thank you! One question I just having trouble to understand. Is there a reason the elevator trim tab is on the Right side and the Aileron Trim Tab is on the LH wing (Cessna 421). I guess the manufacturer has the choice and did probably not just roll the dice to decide where to mount it. I would guess an Elevator Trim Tab on the Left would get the Slipstream from the LH engine, and Aileron trim Tab on the Right would get the slipstream of the RH engine?
Commenters... :)
Good job 👍
Good on you for patiently explaining things to us and the rude commenters that don’t deserve it.
I was about to do this inspection on my 172, but it seems I don't have all the required tools. Where can I get a blue peter and a fourth bridge?
Haha, you can probably find a Blue peter in the 1970's and a Forth bridge in Scotland. Don't forgot red oil for the flashing beacon, a gallon of prop wash, the long weight, a tub of elbow grease and a box of fresh sparks in case you wanna use the grinder.
Hey there. Any suggestion on what to do when boiler isn’t getting hot? It has been sitting for a little while?
Their's usually an overheat protection, this could have tripped if the water level has been low, occasionally the power switches give trouble, or the pressure stat. Someone handy with a multimeter and familiar with electrics should be able to diagnose fairly quickly.
Mine is exactly the same not turning on completely.can i have the wiring diagram pls. migldle thing like
