    Thanks for recording these streams and posting them here. You give great advice in an applicable manner, and my maps have already improved in leaps and bounds from watching these videos. Looking forward to many more in the future!

      Very much appreciate your support. We do have so many more videos to come. Next month videos will be focused on castles.
      If you have any suggestion for future videos I'm all ears.

    I'm sorry, am I missing something? I was following along step by step and at the first "Mask Tool" marker you just "revealed" the dungeon. You didn't show how to make it. It just appeared there like you had already made it before the video. Do these videos not show the whole process including actually making the dungeon? Or is the dungeon you're showing a trace image and you get to it later in the video?

    • @williamobraidislee3433
      @williamobraidislee3433 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I get it. These are conceptual videos, not step-by-step tutorials? They assume you know all the ins and outs of making shapes, walls, etc. So you've already done it before the video and just reveal them as you go?

      @@inkarnate7021 I appreciate that. I actually found one you guys did called “How to Create Dungeon” (no s) that covers it. You did both mask subtraction and stamps step by step. I’m a paid sub to Inkarnate (love watercolor) but I’m gonna hold off until it’s faster to place walls and terrain.

      If we did the whole process it would be a 4-5 hour video. Our subscribers don't like those longer videos so we avoid doing them.

    Great video again. There was a formular somewhere how to align tiles from floortexture to the grid. I remember it has something to do with the largest side of the grid. Can you help me what exactly it was?

    I'm sure you've answered this before but is there an easy way to quickly set up your map so you know the printable grids will be 5' or 10' per grid? Thanks

    • @inkarnate7021
      @inkarnate7021  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Printing to scale can take a bit of pre-planning, but one square = 1 inch.
      If you set up your grid in standard print size (11x17, 17x24, 24x36, 36x44), every square will be 1 inch as long as you set up borderless printing or your printer settings to accommodate.
      Otherwise, you will have to work with your printer settings to achieve the scale you want. Printing to scale can take a bit of pre-planning, but the number of squares should match the size of the print.

    My struggle is always making the floor to a dungeon. What did you use to make the flooring ? Where they stamps or was it a texture ? And if it was a texture how do you make it so uniform to fit a grid so perfectly ?

      @@inkarnate7021 I am not hating just to be clear! I really enjoyed the video but I got half way through and was a bit at a loss as I was expecting some guidance on drawing the actual layout using the Inkarnate tools, making the walls, filling out the rooms, lighting, features, aesthetics etc. Otherwise, the theory you talked about was really insightful. I am a new sub to the Incarnate service as I really want to create my own world and campaign :)

    Good video, but I'd have preferred if you'd stuck to how to use Inkarnate rather than how to create dungeons. Not everyone uses your ideas of boss rooms, loot rooms and so on.
