    Hey Abe, just letting you know I came back to this video and pulled the trigger on Phearable's tune because of your content. The comparisons in this are so good for reference, stock vs bolt ons is good shit man. Can't wait to try it out, Hondata should be here this week. My FK8 is stock for the moment, I guarantee after I have this tune for a while I'll be adding bolt-ons, you know how it goes haha. Subscribed man, thanks for the review.

    I had the phearable 1.5 tune on my 1.5t and I loved it. I was also a little skeptical about it for my fk8 cuz everyone's against ots tunes for this platform. I got my phearable tune the other day and wow... im impressed.

    Great video, I love the comparison videos. Any idea what the phearable stage two with dp intercooler and intake would trap in the 1/4 mile on 93 octane? If we are talking 380whp in something that weights 3110, I would have to assume 115+ mph

    Good honest review! Ive been going crazy contemplating whether I should jailbreak and phearabble tune my Fk8. Thing is I’m kinda like you in the sense that I wanted to keep it stock mainly for the warranty. So far just have PRL HVI lol

    • @AbrahamAponte

      @Hypebeast305 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AbrahamAponte I installed the PRL HVI on my R about a month ago and this morning it threw a “ rev match system problem” and a “emissions system problem” now I literally don’t have any rev match at all although the car runs fine. I’m completely stock aside from the intake and got about 2200 on the car. Now I’m really thinking get a hondata jailbreak/tune in order to run the HVI? Just haven’t heard or seen anyone on TH-cam having this issue after just a PRL intake any thoughts? I am bringing it back to Honda just to be safe. Question is should I put the stock air intake back in the car In order to avoid a smart ass tech pointing their finger at PRL intake?

    • @AbrahamAponte
      @AbrahamAponte  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Hypebeast305 Try unplugging the battery for about 10 minutes and see what happens. From what I have seen in the past, an intake does not void warranty unless it is directly causing the issue. I highly doubt the intake is the problem. This happened to me once before I had Hondata and removing the battery terminals for 10 minutes worked for me.

    • @Hypebeast305
      @Hypebeast305 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AbrahamAponte worked after leaving the battery unplugged for a good hour lol and a couple drive cycles later no codes or lights! Now ill for sure be getting the phearable tune next. Curious to see how much of a difference the car will make being basically stock with that John Vega tune. I was going to get the PRl intercooler next and downpipe before tuning but I rather just go with the tune before hand in order to avoid any future issues lol. Thanks for the advice man

A plane ticket and a few days off of work to drive it home are a lot cheaper than 10-15k of dealer markup. Don’t settle! Civic Si’s are nice for example but once you’re done with all of the mods,wheels,suspension,accessories….you could’ve just financed a Type R….with factory engineering. Then…you’ll have nothing but time thereafter to shape it into what you want.

    Hey man I’m thingking of getting the tune. Which one did u get street or race tune on the throttle mapping?

  • @mkluch
    @mkluch 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I bought the Phearable tune as well a few months ago. I really hate the part throttle mapping on it. Way too much power at low throttle inputs. I ended up switching back to my Ktuner stage 1.1 map and just upping the ignition timing for more power. Now I have the same full throttle power but with a much better partial throttle control. The phearable tune has pretty aggressive ignition timing compared to the Hondata and Ktuner maps. Thats where most of the extra power comes from in the Phearable tune.

      From my experience, I don’t see the need now to get a custom tune as long as I’m on 93 pump gas with no additional mods. The Phearable tune has performed just as good as a custom tune on 93. At a price point of $250 I can’t complain. Phearable did not charge me for an updated tune when I bought bolt ons.
