Just did this last night, for XP farming, worked perfectly, left it for about 12 hours and came back to 11 million XP. Did it on normal difficulty with Yuri, Rita, Flynn and Raven with Raven and Flynn set to heal, started out with an average lvl of 80 and finished with everyone lvl 155, worked better than I expected. My max combo was far from the one in this video with a max of 98 but I was getting that number quite often thanks to Rita's Tidal Wave and her Burst Arte. So thanks a lot for this video (that I found by chance through youtube suggestion while looking for something completely different because it didn't come up when I was looking for farming techniques) it was a great help, I really wasn't looking forward to manually spamming Lightning Dog for hours.
You can modify this, instead of letting other 3 members use the LB let Rita use LB while other finish them off. Dont set ritas command to Stay Away she will run around like crazy and will not cast a spell. Change Flynn with Estelle for better survivability. Auto cast Revive and angel ring to zone out enemies in order for Rita to cast tidal wave.
I don't know if my strategy is the best, but I set Rita to cast *only* Tidal Wave (even her burst arte is off) and equip Mystic Symbol, Light Magic, Speed cast and the Magic Tension skills. Sometimes she casts five TW in a single OVL and the tension extends the OVL even more. My screen gets covered by waves 90% of the time, doing a of of hits (which contributes to the bonux exp)
Started posting in r/tales about playing Vesperia lately. Suddenly TH-cam recommends me this. Dear God, people told me that the combat got crazy by the end of the game but this is overkill like I've never seen in any tales game before.
Was trying to set this up last night and couldn't figure out why the Brutal was dead when I woke up in the morning even though I'd successfully gotten this going before...was the damn Reflect skill lol. Thanks for the tips on what skills not to have active :D
I know i’m super late but i just did this method for 3.5 hours (since brucis died eventually). My level increase from 72 to 86. Not bad for 3.5 hours afk while i wfh. Tarqaron here i go! 😍
I tried this on the PC version and it crashed in about 6-7 hours, even on lower settings. I guess the safest way is to only run this auto-grind trick for 1-2 hours before killing Brutal and saving progress. It takes a few inn stays in Mantaic to respawn Brutal, but it's worth it to minimize progress loss.
Great vid, I guess it would be most useful for Arte Usages specifically (at end game), but I did everything manually until completion. Everything other than Arte Usages aren't too bad of a manual farm if you don't need bots. EDIT: And btw, IF you're doing this you DON'T need somebody to spend your precious TP items, just have Yuri, and nobody else, spread one OVL bar to your characters (use only strike artes setting to keep them nearby). OVL sometimes heals TP to full AND speeds up this entire process by spamming Artes, so the guides don't know everything like me :P. Combined with the FS TP heal it stays up like forever. Also you can give Yuri the Final Symbol to expose FS for them (to get TP) and turn off only Yuri's FS aim if his Abyssion/usage is maxed (9999). Krona's Symbol is the best, since they stun, but either that or Paralysis works.
I'd go with Flynn, Estelle, Karol, and Patty, equip them with Paralysis Charms, Minimum Damage weapons, and armor with the highest defense in Arc 2 for them, Happiness 1-3, and Kids' Society for Patty since it takes effect with her and Karol in the group, while the reserve members have EXP Share active.
Fyi you can probably leave the console on for days, not only is tovde not demanding but when consoles are overheating they throttle. Especially if you have a sufficiently cooled pc you will have 0 problems

I did notice before I went to bed that Estelle was taking a bit of extra damage over everyone else and not healing very fast. What do you think I should do?

Apologies for the delay replying, I'm glad it is of help! You can use it with any character, I just used the ones in this tutorial because I had the skills required to pull off the farm. As for console heat too much, I didn't check specifically but I've done this method on both Switch and PS4, with both consoles working perfectly. However, the Switch definitely can feel was warm due to it being a smaller console so I highly recommend making sure it is in a well ventilated area when you're farming.
Im probably way too early in the game to be watching this. My characters are all level 17 and I just reached Port Capua Nor. I barely know half the stuff you're saying to equip 😂
it seems like if you have a cleared save file the gigantos wont respawn anymore, that's what happened to me because I cant make him appear and I already beat duke

Questions. 1.) My party is mid 70s ish. DO I need to be lv 100 as in the vid or am I good enough? 2.) I already defeated brutal. Will the brutal in the labyrinth of memories work, or the one infront of deidon hold is preferred? 3.) Does brutal respawn if you already killed it earlier while doing the giant monster quest? and if so, how often or how do I get him to?
I followed all the steps (i am using yuri, estelle, judith, and karol) but my characters are still dealing 400+ damage per hit. Im in the mid 70's for level. Any ideas on why that is?
@@ezechieltahapary1038 I did not realize that I needed to make the +1's and that minimum damage was a skill (I just assumed that compact sword would do less damage that compact sword+1 ect.)

Yup it will power up Fell Arms as the party chars defeat a ton of enemies. It's been a while since I recorded this but I think they went up by about 400-500 per character but it will vary based on how long you leave it for.
How do I unlock the Fs and Ovl Bonuses ? Only yuri currently has a Fs bonus 1 . I’m at the part in my first playthrough near the end of the game where we’re back in Quoi woods going back to zaphais
They'll come from weapons later on in the game. I highly recommend checking the Aselia wikia as it details what weapons give you the skills you need. aselia.fandom.com/wiki/ToV_-_Rita_Mordio:_Skills I'd also not worry about farming until you've either completed the game or unlocked the final boss.
I tred it twice and my chars just died and used all my items inside of an hour. He wasn't very clear on which skills/artes to use so I think that's where I went wrong. I'm going to try again today on easy mode to test more

You need to have some FS bonus equipped so that every fatal strike they do, their TP and HP replenish. You can also turn off the item use on your 2 fatal strikers, save rita and the healer (mostly estelle).
I tried this setup but it did not work perfectly, I needed to switch Judith with Estelle for some extra healing. Maybe my character level aren't high enough (Lv 71) or maybe the defences aren't high enough.

My xbox start the screensaver after 60 minute (max time), There is a way to disable it? I am trying to farm but with the screensaver (that stops the game) I can' t use it for all night.
I also ran into this problem go to Settings > Preferences > Idle Options > Turn OFF "Show me things when idle" your screen will still Dim but your game will still be active. I have my screen set to dim after 2 minutes and my game still runs.
Late reply, but the game’s final boss is doable at like level 65~ on normal difficulty. The main point of this farm isn’t more so for the experience, it is for the Gald, Grade, and Fell Arms kills that can help you for New Game+ since you can choose what to carry over to your next playthrough, but each thing you choose requires Grade. Fell Arms also get more powerful with each kill a character gets, making it able to be the most powerful weapon in the game which could help tremendously with the 100 and 200 Man Battles in Nordopolica. As for experience, there’s many other ways to get experience in post-game, so that’s not a real concern.
How do I get Rita's Death Contrast +2β for her FS Bonus 2 skill. Only one I'm missing for this trick. Apparently everything was going fine for the first hour watching to make sure everything was OK. Went to bed and woke up to a dead party. I don't know what happened, but it sucks and this was on Normal. Maybe a recommended level on top of this too? I got the strongest armor I have available, but it seems like certain items I can't craft yet.
I didn't understand any of it. You weren't doing shit for damage, just 1hp damage for hours? What is that suppose to do? I don't even understand that...and I am too early in the game to understand I guess....and dont have a clue how you even get OVL bonus
1Sandwitch1 the boss continually respawns mobs that you fatal strike and 1 hit kill, every mob killed increases grade, exp Gald etc. 1 damage is so that the boss doesn’t get killed but the enemies he spawns are killed with fatal strike. The skills he equipped are so that they heal hp/tp and stay alive
Got it on Steam, this is working for normal mode, but as soon as I crank the difficulty up, the game crashes, approx. 8 hours in. No error, just stops. Anyone have a fix for that ?
@Funder Difflin Damn, I am late. Thanks for letting me know how great the game is after the main plot. I just got back into it on the switch lite. I missed a lot of side quests and may eat up whatever I can before new game plus. I know I am expanding the item limit on the grade shop.
If you are on the switch take the switch off the dock plug it into the wall with a separate plug to stay charged and use the joycons aka use handheld mode the joycons will stay charged and it will never idle on you like how pro controller do even when they are plugged up
Change ritas command to Free Move. She will run away from monsters if you set it to Stay Away. And dont let other members use LB let rita use LB alone so she could spam TW and let others finish. If your party is having hard time surviving replace flynn with estel and have her spam Revive, nightingale and angel ring. The goal here is to Fatal Kill small mobs for grade.
In the recording, it was my first playthrough, but after I completed the main story and did as many side quests as possible as I wanted the Grade for the second playthrough.
Strangely my team doesn't do any chains (despite having set up everything as you recommended). En plus, they are using the OL randomly and not Rita mostly... Any suggestions what I'm doing wrong...?
Lmao, the normal Rita farming is tons better. Imagine doing this just for the sake of doing it when you can get 1k grade for a minimum of like 8-10 mins. Cool vid though.
@@ElToroFuerte57 Plus while the Rita trick is really effective it can be irritating if you don't have very good reflexes or can't get enough chips to buy the 1 tp ring since without it you'll have to use items (which means you'll need to constantly stock up) and that can be kind of annoying when all of a sudden your 400+ combo breaks...
I have several questions that I would like answered asap: 1. Would it work if your at level 54 or 55? 2. Are the characters shown in the video the best ones to use? or can you use any of them as long as they have the necessary Skills? 3. Will you absolutely need the Fell Arms for this? 4. For Rita, do you have to have Title Wave? 5. What do I need to do to turn on the art changing skills and arts that change into altered arts? I'm not sure if there are other questions I would wanna ask, but if anyone can help answer these for me as well as anything extra, I'd greatly appreciate it! (first time playing it btw)
1. You may have to turn down the difficulty, but it should be fine so long as your characters stay alive. 2. In all honesty, not really, I just chose them because I wanted to focus on getting their kill counts higher as Yuri already has a high number and these were the characters that had the skills available at the time of recording. There's no best characters to actually do this hence why I didn't suggest any. 3. Nope, they just make the last bit quicker when you want to finish the battle. 4. It helps. 5. Use a guide. I’m using yuri, Judith, Estelle , and Rita . And the farm goes well for me for a little while but then they end up dying . Everyone’s level 100 and I was doing it on hard . Am I doing something wrong ?
You may have to edit the strategy a bit, I found that that no matter what Estelle would die. So I trained both yuri and Flynn to have guardian field and set then both to how he set Flynn. This makes it so my party keeps from dying and they keep doing fatal strikes, since I have two healers if one healer gets hurt the other can heal him. That’s how I edited my part at least but you can probably figure out what works for you
Some what of a Scientist I solved my issue the other day . I ended up swapping out Judith for patty . And had patty spamming critical moment , and for Estelle I removed all her healing spells and just ressurection and holy rain turned on for her . I realized I was missing a lot of crucial skills for Rita And patty to do the auto farm to begin with and I had Judith originally which is why I kept waking up in the middle of the night to a dead party . So after grinding the remaining skills I needed for Rita and getting patty set up , and adjusting Estelle just a bit I tried it again and then it worked FLAWLESSELY for me . I ended up doing the auto farm on Yhe switch version of the game for 15 hours roughly , I managed to sleep through the night and the farm was still going on successfully and I managed to get 18,600 ish grade using two blue dice !!!!!

soul keeper if you have the dualshock 4 v2, you can plug the controller into the cosole to keep it charged

you can just save at where brutal spawns and keep reloading the game if it doesn't appear.

The pc Port is trash. Tr y disabling Vsync and always use msi afterburner with rivatuner locked at 60FPS, the game should run much better!!

Just go back and forth inside Deidon Hold. It will respawn

How do I unlock the Fs and Ovl Bonuses ? Only yuri currently has a Fs bonus 1 . I’m at the part in my first playthrough near the end of the game where we’re back in Quoi woods going back to zaphais
They'll come from weapons later on in the game. I highly recommend checking the Aselia wikia as it details what weapons give you the skills you need.

I'd also not worry about farming until you've either completed the game or unlocked the final boss.

I tred it twice and my chars just died and used all my items inside of an hour. He wasn't very clear on which skills/artes to use so I think that's where I went wrong. I'm going to try again today on easy mode to test more

They all keep running out of TP. Do you allow them to use tp items?

You need to have some FS bonus equipped so that every fatal strike they do, their TP and HP replenish.
You can also turn off the item use on your 2 fatal strikers, save rita and the healer (mostly estelle).
Crap... Is it possible to do anything like this? I've already defeated brutal... :(
I tried this setup but it did not work perfectly, I needed to switch Judith with Estelle for some extra healing. Maybe my character level aren't high enough (Lv 71) or maybe the defences aren't high enough.

My xbox start the screensaver after 60 minute (max time), There is a way to disable it? I am trying to farm but with the screensaver (that stops the game) I can' t use it for all night.
I also ran into this problem go to Settings > Preferences > Idle Options > Turn OFF "Show me things when idle"
your screen will still Dim but your game will still be active. I have my screen set to dim after 2 minutes and my game still runs.

Maybe they target boss and he died, just add strategy target weak enemies.
It worked for me but one of the enemies glitched out and couldn’t be hit and I couldn’t finish the fight

Late reply, but the game’s final boss is doable at like level 65~ on normal difficulty. The main point of this farm isn’t more so for the experience, it is for the Gald, Grade, and Fell Arms kills that can help you for New Game+ since you can choose what to carry over to your next playthrough, but each thing you choose requires Grade. Fell Arms also get more powerful with each kill a character gets, making it able to be the most powerful weapon in the game which could help tremendously with the 100 and 200 Man Battles in Nordopolica. As for experience, there’s many other ways to get experience in post-game, so that’s not a real concern.
At what point in the game can we do this? Endgame or earlier?
Preferably endgame when you want the Grade to start your next playthrough
How do I get Rita's Death Contrast +2β for her FS Bonus 2 skill. Only one I'm missing for this trick. Apparently everything was going fine for the first hour watching to make sure everything was OK. Went to bed and woke up to a dead party. I don't know what happened, but it sucks and this was on Normal.
Maybe a recommended level on top of this too? I got the strongest armor I have available, but it seems like certain items I can't craft yet.

I didn't understand any of it. You weren't doing shit for damage, just 1hp damage for hours? What is that suppose to do? I don't even understand that...and I am too early in the game to understand I guess....and dont have a clue how you even get OVL bonus
1Sandwitch1 the boss continually respawns mobs that you fatal strike and 1 hit kill, every mob killed increases grade, exp Gald etc. 1 damage is so that the boss doesn’t get killed but the enemies he spawns are killed with fatal strike.
The skills he equipped are so that they heal hp/tp and stay alive
Just play a little more and learn the game basics and go for this is my best tip.
Whats the minimum level I can start doing this? Currently finishing up the 2nd arc.
I would do it during the post game when you’re around level 90, otherwise this boss just kills you on hard mode

@Funder Difflin Damn, I am late. Thanks for letting me know how great the game is after the main plot. I just got back into it on the switch lite. I missed a lot of side quests and may eat up whatever I can before new game plus. I know I am expanding the item limit on the grade shop.

If you are on the switch take the switch off the dock plug it into the wall with a separate plug to stay charged and use the joycons aka use handheld mode the joycons will stay charged and it will never idle on you like how pro controller do even when they are plugged up

Change ritas command to Free Move. She will run away from monsters if you set it to Stay Away. And dont let other members use LB let rita use LB alone so she could spam TW and let others finish. If your party is having hard time surviving replace flynn with estel and have her spam Revive, nightingale and angel ring. The goal here is to Fatal Kill small mobs for grade.

In the recording, it was my first playthrough, but after I completed the main story and did as many side quests as possible as I wanted the Grade for the second playthrough.

Lmao, the normal Rita farming is tons better. Imagine doing this just for the sake of doing it when you can get 1k grade for a minimum of like 8-10 mins. Cool vid though.
It seems you don't understand the purpose of this video. Its not "the best way to farm" its an "Auto Farm Guide" when u're afk, you can use it.

Plus while the Rita trick is really effective it can be irritating if you don't have very good reflexes or can't get enough chips to buy the 1 tp ring since without it you'll have to use items (which means you'll need to constantly stock up) and that can be kind of annoying when all of a sudden your 400+ combo breaks...

2. Are the characters shown in the video the best ones to use? or can you use any of them as long as they have the necessary Skills?
3. Will you absolutely need the Fell Arms for this?
4. For Rita, do you have to have Title Wave?
5. What do I need to do to turn on the art changing skills and arts that change into altered arts?
I'm not sure if there are other questions I would wanna ask, but if anyone can help answer these for me as well as anything extra, I'd greatly appreciate it! (first time playing it btw)
1. You may have to turn down the difficulty, but it should be fine so long as your characters stay alive.
2. In all honesty, not really, I just chose them because I wanted to focus on getting their kill counts higher as Yuri already has a high number and these were the characters that had the skills available at the time of recording. There's no best characters to actually do this hence why I didn't suggest any.
3. Nope, they just make the last bit quicker when you want to finish the battle.
4. It helps.

I’m using yuri, Judith, Estelle , and Rita . And the farm goes well for me for a little while but then they end up dying . Everyone’s level 100 and I was doing it on hard . Am I doing something wrong ?
You may have to edit the strategy a bit, I found that that no matter what Estelle would die. So I trained both yuri and Flynn to have guardian field and set then both to how he set Flynn. This makes it so my party keeps from dying and they keep doing fatal strikes, since I have two healers if one healer gets hurt the other can heal him. That’s how I edited my part at least but you can probably figure out what works for you
Some what of a Scientist I solved my issue the other day . I ended up swapping out Judith for patty . And had patty spamming critical moment , and for Estelle I removed all her healing spells and just ressurection and holy rain turned on for her . I realized I was missing a lot of crucial skills for Rita And patty to do the auto farm to begin with and I had Judith originally which is why I kept waking up in the middle of the night to a dead party . So after grinding the remaining skills I needed for Rita and getting patty set up , and adjusting Estelle just a bit I tried it again and then it worked FLAWLESSELY for me . I ended up doing the auto farm on Yhe switch version of the game for 15 hours roughly , I managed to sleep through the night and the farm was still going on successfully and I managed to get 18,600 ish grade using two blue dice !!!!!
