I think all instruments and parts in this theme is a part of Lex Luthor's mind, let me explain: 0:00 to 0:56 it's strong piano which mean his inspiration and the strength of his conviction to defeat the GOD (Superman) 0:56 to 1:52 we can hear a repeating song which mean for me the beginning of his madness, we also hear a bit of stong piano (which mean Superman) and some soft piano (wich mean his human part) for me that show that he doesn't know if he has to felt in this madness. He is divided between his human part and his madness (from superman) 1:52 to 2:27 The most important part where the violon are alone like he felt completely in his madness and don't see anything else (at 2:11 we can hear also the piano like the beginning but less loud like he associate his madness with superman) 2:27 to 5:10 the longest part, the part of the human behind Lex Luthor, which introduce his doubt, his fears, his weaknesses. This part is almost empty, without instrument, like he has no doubt he truly trust his convictions and he really thinks he is doing good. 5:12 to the end, His madness (violon) comes before Superman (the strong piano) like he feel superior to superman, superior to a god... Hans Zimmer is great at capturing the emotion of the story and Jesse Eisenberg is definitely at the top for engaging the audience in Lex's public/private personas the best. I think Jesse as an actor understood the basis of Lex's motives and psychosis' the best even if between director etc it wasn't explained enough and this is from a person who's not really read the comics etc but can google and sift through the info and find the facts that make sense.
I really liked this version of Lex. It's so different with all the previous versions of Lex we saw so far. Perfect theme to match his sinister and narcissistic persona. Created by Maestro Hans Zimmer❤
This is great! Hans Zimmer really succeeds in this composition and how it represents and personifies an innate genius twisted by malice and a desire for power. 🎼👏🏾
if you pay attention, in the 1:55 minute, you can hear the superman scream at the time of his death, which gradually turns into a note, Hans Zimmer is genius
As soon as I heard this music, and saw him, I was sold on this lex Luther Sure there are better, but this guy’s lex is fantastic! I hope to see much more of him! I know many people didn’t like this version but, I loved it! I’d like to see a movie of Justice/Doom War now! (Sadly, things for the DCEU are-shattering)
Exactly. This version of Lex grew on me....It was refreshing...and a new take on him. Also this version of him was based on Superman: Birthright. we were presented with perhaps the darkest, most damaged version of Superman’s archenemy yet. A brilliant billionaire fueled by the traumas of his childhood, Eisenberg’s Lex is obsessed with toppling Superman, for reasons even he can’t fully articulate. It’s a dynamic, raging performance, and the imo stands to be among the best Lex Luthor who has ever graced the silver screen. and what I also liked about this version is that most modern incarnations of Lex Luthor have portrayed him as a classic 20th century industrialist; a smartly besuited titan of industry who’s loathe to crack a smile in public. This is quickly becoming an obsolete archetype. The American billionaires of the 21st century are more likely to be young tech moguls, like Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who Jesse Eisenberg conveniently portrayed in David Fincher’s stylish, haunting The Social Network. Infusing Lex with the billionaire "tech bro" spirit was a smart and easy way to make him both credibly powerful and deeply unlikeable. He’s a young man of such vast wealth and influence that he doesn’t believe any rules should apply to him. His fragile ego is severely threatened by someone as altruistic and all powerful as Superman.
Heath Ledgers Joker: Just wants chaos. Critics: Genius Jesse Eisenbergs Lex Luthor: Tries to prove that he is above a God thus making his childhood trauma a bit bearable. Critics: What's his problem?
if you pay attention to ledger's joker, the writing, the acting, and the directing, its actually quite clear he represents some odds with chaos. everything he does is planned and his true actions reveal a means to become the only organized crime in gotham. keyword: organized.
@@Houndguardian while i agree with the theme of contrasting morals and ideals, my point was joker wasnt just some guy who did whatever just because "chaos". he clearly shows a great level of intelligence, and while he didnt create a big kryptonian monster, he got batman to go into hiding. ive always seen him as lex luthor without the money. does he know how to get funding? yes. does he really want it? no. he knows how to play against the richest man on the city, the gotham police, and the mob "with a few drums of gas and a couple of bullets".
i love how this is essentially the same as superman’s theme in man of steel but it’s played in minor rather than major and with different instruments, notes, etc to make it sound threatening rather than uplifting.

If you like him or not, this is the most comic accurate Luthor, people who say otherwise just haven’t read Birthright !

Dear Lex,
1. Thank you for making sure Superman doesn't help Darkseid in the Knightmare scenario, we all owe you our lives.

It was only when I watched the movie for the third time that I realized how badass villain Lex Luthor was)
I’m not a big superman guy I’m more of a batman guy but from the versions of lex luthor I’ve seen Clancy brown from justice league the animated series is my personal favourite but Jessie eisenberg did an amazing performance for what zack snyders version of the character was supposed to be and now it’s been like 5 years or something the characters has really grown on me and with all the extras from bvs and the script of the snyder cut I really love this version of the character

A song such as this one, tells the whole story
Hans Zimmer is the king of scores imo. Also if you think Jesse Eisenberg wasn’t a good luthor then you are just wrong
I liked Kevin Spacey more, sorry.
The only reason they think he’s bad is because of the hair but the next time we see him he will be bald because his hair got shaved in the end of BvS

I really liked this version of Lex. It's so different with all the previous versions of Lex we saw so far.
Perfect theme to match his sinister and narcissistic persona.

I like his theme the beginning feels like a very rough and evil version of the beginning of Superman's theme
It also feels like a pirates of the carribean soundtrack
if you pay attention, in the 1:55 minute, you can hear the superman scream at the time of his death, which gradually turns into a note, Hans Zimmer is genius
Yes... it is just too low that I was gonna ignore your point but thought of trying it again and then something just snapped inside of me..

Sure there are better, but this guy’s lex is fantastic!
AL Lusive exactly!
Lex Luthor is so underrated villian.
He deserves more respect.
“Mother of god, would you look at time! Before you came, you had an hour. Now it’s less.”
*DRAMATIC MUSIC*
Heath Ledgers Joker: Just wants chaos.
Critics: Genius
Jesse Eisenbergs Lex Luthor: Tries to prove that he is above a God thus making his childhood trauma a bit bearable.
LOL!

i love how this is essentially the same as superman’s theme in man of steel but it’s played in minor rather than major and with different instruments, notes, etc to make it sound threatening rather than uplifting.
