The problem was due to its bad characterization of dc’s iconic characters, the terrible script, and it’s just a boring, long and empty as hell movie with an overtly dark and grim tone. Even the dark knight at least had some lighthearted moments to balance out the dark themes. like a dark tone is not a bad thing, it could work if done right, but bvs just doesn’t, it is just a boring, joyless, and beautiful looking mess that is so polarizing among everyone when it comes to the theatrical cut of the film. I am not saying dark and gritty reboots should not exist, I am saying that it could work if done right! While there are some that worked well like Batman begins and battlestar galactia but while some others resulted in disastrous results like some that wouldn’t and shouldn’t! Like the most infamous of them all were shadow the hedgehog, bomber man: act zero, and man of steel
You know, I had heard all the criticism before ever watching the movie, yet I tried to watch it with an open and unbiased mind. After watching it, I loved it. I looked at people's issues with the movie. Some I found legitimate others not so much. I feel the biggest issue was not the tone but rather that it is bloated. The dark tone I not only enjoyed, but found very refrshing. it fits the cynical version of batman that is featured here. and it's a nice break from the tone Marvel has really been going for lately. No cheap laughs for the sake of cheap laughs. PS no hate on Marvel I love both franchises

Val Kilmer didn’t do much of a bad job though those nipples should have never came. The Sonic Suit from BF didn’t have nipples but the ass zipper shouldn’t have been there either. Kilmer isn’t my favorite but he did do a fine job. My favorite is Batfleck next to Baleman.

Hans and Junkie killed this,its as though Batfleck had the track in his prep haha everything batman he does I hear this in the background even times as Bruce. That scene where his looking at the suit and Robins memorial so he never forgets. I thought I liked this when it came out but over the years it's become a whole new level of love and admiration for everyone involved. Truly the standout being Ben's performance and knowing what we know now what he was going through in his personal life speaks to his mental strength, he really did become Bruce and Batman. This music just made me want to do a scene like the warehouse but in arkham asylum and Batman walks into a cell block and he is locked in with a bunch of prisoners and just throws a batarang to cut lights off and this song starts to play and then the light flickers on and off showing him fighting while this song plays until the end when he sees one prisoner left and walks up to him slowly while he is standing in the hall and then runs back to his cell and locks himself in and give me my Oscar now

I found this video in my recommendation, I liked it so much so I thought I should give batman vs Superman a look I watched batman vs Superman, and i just felt completely different. So, I watched Man of Steel too, and that movie became my all time favourite movie. Then I saw justice league (2017) I was shocked what tf happened to DCEU why the made such a crap in their first teamup movie of iconic heroes. Then I came to know about the tragedy of Snyder. And then I became a part of #releasethesnydercut And few months later dc fans' dream came to life because WB announced the snydercut. And now when I watched the snydercut and I realised WB executives are the biggest enemy of DC. Now I'm a part of #restorethesnyderverse

They had to separate themselves from the Nolan movies hence Snyder went with a version who's already been Batman for 20 years and is inspired by The Dark Knight Returns He only uses guns in the Knightmare timeline. In the Knightmare timeline, all of humanity has fallen under Darkseid and is beyond saving in its present state. Batman and his team constantly go against Parademons and soldiers under Darkseid's control. Using non-lethal weapons in such a scenario is stupid because survival is key. His code is probably the last thing that matters now. I doubt he'd have a constant supply of his usual weaponry in the Knightmare timeline. Darkseid's soldiers however, use guns so firearms are probably still being actively produced and are probably the only weapons available. Besides, their goal is to reset the timeline using the Flash anyway.

In the warehouse fight he grabs a thug and makes him shoot 'over' the other thugs in order to make them duck. Finally he grabs another thug and makes him shoot at the gas tank of a flamethrower. The guy with the flamethrower still decided to ignite it and blew himself up. So no, he didn't shoot anyone and he didn't directly use a gun. The first and the last scenes are literally ripped straight from The Dark Knight Returns. In Batman Begins Bale's Batman makes one of Scarecrow's thugs shoot another in the foot, so Batfleck isn't the first. The Dark Knight Rises was literally released 4 years before BvS. It was still fresh in people's minds. Burton's last Batman movie was released 13 years before Nolan's first. Besides Burton never did an origin story for Batman. He only showed the death of his parents halfway through the movie and called it a day. Batman Begins was the first true origin story for him on screen. Burton came before Raimi lmao what you talking about. It's not about copying, it's about keeping things fresh so the general audience remains engaged lmao it's basic filmmaking. Besides showing 20 years worth of Batman mythos is not possible in movies. BvS makes it clear that this Batman has only recently changed and was the ideal version of Batman before. Snyder even managed to show the Death of the Wayne's and make it important lmao. Again the rest was supposed to be addressed in the future/Affleck's solo film but it never came to be. It's no secret that WB was rushing to catch up with the MCU. Lmao the MCU is the definition of quantity over quality so it's not an ideal comparison

Hans and Junkie killed this,its as though Batfleck had the track in his prep haha everything batman he does I hear this in the background even times as Bruce. That scene where his looking at the suit and Robins memorial so he never forgets. I thought I liked this when it came out but over the years it's become a whole new level of love and admiration for everyone involved. Truly the standout being Ben's performance and knowing what we know now what he was going through in his personal life speaks to his mental strength, he really did become Bruce and Batman.

I have watched The Batman two times now and although I think he can wear the cape. In my opinion Ben Affleck is my favorite Batman. I have been missing his portrayal of both Bruce and the Bat! He just seemed to fit the bill in every way. I wonder what kind of stand alone movie we would have had with him if they just continued? 😔

The point of BvS is that Batman's in the wrong and is acting uncharacteristic so I am pretty sure Snyder managed to reiterate the importance of Batman's code this way. In the Snyder Cut we literally see that Batman's gone back to following his code.
Zack didn't have to do everything in the DCEU himself damnit. He left it for Affleck to do it in his solo film. Robin's death was supposed to be addressed in the future and would've probably happened in Affleck's Batman solo film but it never materialized and it all went to waste

They had to separate themselves from the Nolan movies hence Snyder went with a version who's already been Batman for 20 years and is inspired by The Dark Knight Returns
He only uses guns in the Knightmare timeline. In the Knightmare timeline, all of humanity has fallen under Darkseid and is beyond saving in its present state. Batman and his team constantly go against Parademons and soldiers under Darkseid's control. Using non-lethal weapons in such a scenario is stupid because survival is key. His code is probably the last thing that matters now. I doubt he'd have a constant supply of his usual weaponry in the Knightmare timeline. Darkseid's soldiers however, use guns so firearms are probably still being actively produced and are probably the only weapons available. Besides, their goal is to reset the timeline using the Flash anyway.

In the warehouse fight he grabs a thug and makes him shoot 'over' the other thugs in order to make them duck. Finally he grabs another thug and makes him shoot at the gas tank of a flamethrower. The guy with the flamethrower still decided to ignite it and blew himself up. So no, he didn't shoot anyone and he didn't directly use a gun. The first and the last scenes are literally ripped straight from The Dark Knight Returns. In Batman Begins Bale's Batman makes one of Scarecrow's thugs shoot another in the foot, so Batfleck isn't the first.
The Dark Knight Rises was literally released 4 years before BvS. It was still fresh in people's minds. Burton's last Batman movie was released 13 years before Nolan's first. Besides Burton never did an origin story for Batman. He only showed the death of his parents halfway through the movie and called it a day. Batman Begins was the first true origin story for him on screen. Burton came before Raimi lmao what you talking about.
It's not about copying, it's about keeping things fresh so the general audience remains engaged lmao it's basic filmmaking. Besides showing 20 years worth of Batman mythos is not possible in movies. BvS makes it clear that this Batman has only recently changed and was the ideal version of Batman before. Snyder even managed to show the Death of the Wayne's and make it important lmao. Again the rest was supposed to be addressed in the future/Affleck's solo film but it never came to be.
It's no secret that WB was rushing to catch up with the MCU. Lmao the MCU is the definition of quantity over quality so it's not an ideal comparison
