I find quite ironic and poetic how Bruce blames Superman for the destruction in Metropolis, but later Bruce himself finds out what Superman had to face, and how powerless he was to prevent the destruction caused in Gotham's port when against a being that it's mere existence can cause destruction. And Superman in two different moments, was willing to give up his life to prevent further destruction.
Well said. What happened in Metropolis was tragic, but it doesn’t change the fact that Superman fought to stop it from happening when no one else could. People have to understand that it’s bigger than them and they need to look at the situation clearly without reacting by emotion alone.
Humans are evidently flawed. People will always act in emotion or are biased. They judge and they jump the gun. They blame, they condemn, they despise, they resent, they destroy. They are unforgiving and they are treacherous.

Who else is here after Batman v Superman being 4 years old? Edit: Came back after seeing what is now my favorite superhero movie of all time; Zack Snyder’s Justice League. We won the battle, Snyder Bros, and now we win the war. #RestoretheSnyderVerse
Nah This is the way to start. Reminding you what happened but from another point of view. So you experience another emotions of the same scene in another film
The incredible yet scary thing about this scene is that it’s a sad but realistic take on a situation like this. Most superhero movies have scenes of catastrophic collateral damage during big battles, but the perspective of the chaotic confusion, horror and melancholy from the civilians, onlookers and people on the ground trying to help survivors is usually not really seen and explored. And let’s be honest us puny mortal humans we would either be terrified or angry if a fight between two or more superhumans occurred, which lead to this. And to be fair, Clark probably didn’t mean or want to cause this situation and casualties along the way… as Zod is mainly responsible for that, but Clark is still partially responsible for the collateral damage, no matter if intentional or more likely fir him, accidental.. So as somber as this scene is, it’s a scarily realistic portrayal of if something like this happened in real life. But then again tragically for the Americans something relatively similar happened in 2001 but because of something other than super powered aliens. But aftermath and the perspective of the people are very much the same… justified paranoia, fear and anger… which is seen in Batfleck’s Bruce after witnessing his employee becoming crippled, his employee/ friend Jack being killed and a young girl suffering the tragically similar fate to Bruce, of becoming an orphan. Yes it’s gritty, but it’s sadly very realistic.
I read somewhere that Wally was supposed to be the Superman villain John Corben aka Metallo. Jack was supposed to be Lucius Fox played by the late Lance Reddik, and the girl was supposed to be Carrie Kelly
Batman has MANY powers: his genius, his technology, his resourcefulness, and most of all his humanity, and his tenacity. I think that’s why we project ourselves onto him. We can all be Batman
1:42 in the midst of all the chaos, the battle between gods, remember humanities contribution.. A group of humans on a plane choosing to dive bomb the terraformer to end its threat. "A good death is its own reward."
From what I've seen I think Robert Pattinson will be a great Batman, a younger...angrier Batman. However, nobody will come close to an older and grizzled Batman, like Batfleck.
I remember sitting in the cinemas, hair standing at 2:44 and I knew we were witnessing the best ever Batman on a live action screen with one of my personal all time favourite CBMs.
When watching Man Of Steel for the first time, you’re only focused on Superman fighting Zod. You never realise what’s happening to the rest of the city and how everyone else is impacted by the fight.
This is a really amazing scene, I haven't watched superheroes movies for a while because they haven't resonated with me, but the way Batman looks at Superman, basically with a look of "look what you have caused, look what you've done to my people, you don't even consider us, do you?" Is an amazing moment. Men are brave.
Name one moment where BVS is actually good and is better than this opening scene alone. Cause both GOTG and D&W are actually better than this cluttered mess of a film. It’s just a desperate attempt to cram in so many unnecessary subplots and trying to catch up to the MCU which ultimately failed.
1:52 Snyder uses that blue shockwave with the same type of crystal wind sound just like Zack Snyders watchmen with Dr Manhattan. Cool little detail and Easter egg
This was one of the best prologues ever. Think about the previous movie, just flying around, pummeling each other, destroying the planet. Now imagine you're on the ground and then this is your first contact with an alien.
It might be obvious, but the low-angle shots of Bruce helplessly watching his friend crumble in his building, then kneeling down to hug the newly orphaned girl, causes Bruce to relive his anger as a child when he lost his parents and couldn't do anything to stop it. It parallels the alley flashback at the beginning of the movie
This is one of my favorite movie moments in all movies because you get to see the city being destroyed from the ground instead of the heroes point of view. I know Bruce is Batman but in this moment he is just a normal guy trying to save his friend and other people. That makes him a true hero.
You can feel his genuine concerns for his employees. You can feel the respect his employees has for him. Best of all, you can feel his rage and anger for Superman.

@@JDog2656 It's emotion. It's a human flaw.
Humans are evidently flawed. People will always act in emotion or are biased. They judge and they jump the gun. They blame, they condemn, they despise, they resent, they destroy. They are unforgiving and they are treacherous.

@@ygbmanman3276 clark needed to give people time for them to accept his mistakes and forgive, also even if it s not his fault, bruce only sees kryptonians fighting each other instead of clark trying to protect them
Even without the suit on, he was still Batman.
Right you are!
"If you're nothing without the suit, then you don't deserve it."
(Different universe)
4:14 " it's ok, you are going to be the next batgirl "
I imagine in the early stages of this scene they considered putting Bruce in the bat suit and in a bat mobile hunting superman with the intention of beating him but I much prefer this as Bruce Wayne because it tells us immediately that he's heroic whilst simultaneously showing how terrifying this fight is from a civilian perspective.
To be honest he could’ve just picked him up in the Batwing
Who else is here after Batman v Superman being 4 years old?
Edit: Came back after seeing what is now my favorite superhero movie of all time; Zack Snyder’s Justice League. We won the battle, Snyder Bros, and now we win the war.

Funny how the visuals look way better than Josstice League.

Almost 5 by now.
Actually, it already is 5 years old. The movie came on March 25.
@@ViceJosh1.9, Oh snap. Time goes flying man.
Definitely the best opening of all comic book movies.
Jack is the typical manager. Giant UFO outside the window & has to be ordered to evacuate the people.
Facts i would've been in Gotham 🤣
04:35 when she looks right at him just melts my heart!
This would’ve been perfect for a post credit scene for man of steal
Nah
This is the way to start. Reminding you what happened but from another point of view. So you experience another emotions of the same scene in another film
1:49 that was pretty cool, seeing it from a different lense
Yes for sure
And he is rich

Bruh the part when they zoom into super and zod is so badass yet scary
Wow yes
say what you want about the rest of the movie, this is one of the greatest opening scenes in movie history
I like how Bruce Wayne charges into the chaos even without the suit. A true life hero !
Saw that black cross when saving the girl, signifying self sacrifice for the the innocent?
The look to the superman with the background score is masterpiece 😢❤❤
The amount of injustice done to this flim is Criminal
0:04 the look in his eyes 🔥
0:16 the craziest thing is that Batman took a left turn at a red light
That was a bold move in preparation to fight Superman
2:39 I only just noticed now, you can see Superman fly out of the building.
From what I've seen I think Robert Pattinson will be a great Batman, a younger...angrier Batman. However, nobody will come close to an older and grizzled Batman, like Batfleck.
It would have been interesting to see Ben play Batman when he was in his early thirties
So trueeeee
This is just Ben being Batman, being a hero, ZACK, BEN such a great emotional and powerful scene
That girl from the scene was going to be orphan Batman's sidekick if this timeline would have continued 😢
There's is only one man running towards chaos & destruction. He's is BATMAN.
2:27 That scene where Zod used heat vision for the first time like a maniac. It's scary to see it from that perspective.
1:14 so satisfying how it slices through the buildings like that, rip the victims tho
This has to be one of the most underrated movies. Too deep for regular people.
Man of steel and batman v superman had bombasss openings. If only snyder could have maintained that same feel throughout the dceu.
This scene is truly masterpiece
I remember sitting in the cinemas, hair standing at 2:44 and I knew we were witnessing the best ever Batman on a live action screen with one of my personal all time favourite CBMs.
WB ruined DCEU, so only that scene and Wayne's childhood are entire BVS movie.
@Xen Glaris where can i wac The ultimate edition?

Did zack snydee make it?
When watching Man Of Steel for the first time, you’re only focused on Superman fighting Zod. You never realise what’s happening to the rest of the city and how everyone else is impacted by the fight.
If you squint hard enough, you *might* see Barry saving a kid from falling debris a few blocks away...
Time stamp ?
You can't, Zack never planned for Flash to be in this scene, and of course this isn't canon for SnyderVerse, just a pity fan service atrempt.
This scene is an evidence that Batman really is the brave and the bold
The background music is so fcking epic dude seriously
4:15 would have been the perfect start to a MOS post-credit scene.
Ben affleck never looked better than in this movie! An absolute beast and very, very handsome!
Every now and then the TH-cam algorithm pops up a BvS clip to remind me what a genius, brilliant film this was.
True!
the way he rushes in not as batman but bruce wayne
The best version of Batman and Bruce Wayne, overcame every fear, leaned everything, now he cared for his people and business
This is a really amazing scene, I haven't watched superheroes movies for a while because they haven't resonated with me, but the way Batman looks at Superman, basically with a look of "look what you have caused, look what you've done to my people, you don't even consider us, do you?" Is an amazing moment. Men are brave.
forget Guardians of the Galaxy
forget Deadpool and Wolverine
this..
is the greatest superhero movie opening scene of all time
💯💯💯
Name one moment where BVS is actually good and is better than this opening scene alone. Cause both GOTG and D&W are actually better than this cluttered mess of a film. It’s just a desperate attempt to cram in so many unnecessary subplots and trying to catch up to the MCU which ultimately failed.
1:52 Snyder uses that blue shockwave with the same type of crystal wind sound just like Zack Snyders watchmen with Dr Manhattan. Cool little detail and Easter egg
He also used it in rebel moon i believe when they blow up the mothership's core
Bruce Wayne running into that construction dust would be dead. Your lungs cant handle inhaling all that.
"You know what, we're gonna find your Mom, where is she?"
*Child points at the building.
*Batman "And I took that personally"
4:44 dam this scene 🤯🤯🤯
This was one of the best prologues ever. Think about the previous movie, just flying around, pummeling each other, destroying the planet. Now imagine you're on the ground and then this is your first contact with an alien.
The way he looks at superman and the music. 🔥
This was the only moment I felt like this movie really understood Batman’s character. So good
4:42 Architects looking at one giant green man crashing their buildings during average Avenger's fight.
This movie can be bad to people, or good to people, but wow the emotions are concrete.
The way he looked at Superman with the epic theme, wah I was screaming in theatre
3:03 If this scene in Man of steel end credits It's Masterpiece
Yaa
4:28 sweet bruce she gonna be dad hahah
It's crazy how both Bruce and Barry were there that day when it happened, seeing them trying to save people while Clark tries to stop Zod.
If Oliver Queen was in the DCEU and he was in Metropolis that day like Bruce and Barry, Ollie would have done the same thing, Stephen Amell"s Oliver Queen would have been trying to help and saving people if this happened in the Arrowverse
