    I’ve been growing and juicing wheatgrass and barleygrass for 30 years. I love the fresh juice but also love the wonderful nutrition and intestinal cleansing powers of field grown organic whole wheatgrass powder too.

    I made several videos and growing wheatgrass at your house for yourself and your dogs. I grill mine in a tray on a wood wine carton on the patio, and in the dirt on the ground for the dogs. It literally got rid of all of my tooth pain and made my mouth feel amazing. I have made videos on that too! I chew a clump and swallow it every day!

    • @veganmichele

      You are welcome. Yes absolutely. My husband does that often. you get the most out of it when it is freshly pressed ( minerals, enzymes, vitamins, antioxidants etc) but you can absolutely blend it up like you would any other green to a smoothie. 👍

    Hi, i really liked ur video. Thank you so much for sharing this information. Could you plz tell me the benefits of wheatgrass for eyesight?..My eyesight is veryyy weak. If I take 1oz every morning then how long it will take to reduce the eyesight number?

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thank you. Wheatgrass is really great for the eyes and whole body too. I can’t give you a definite number of days, but I know if you took 1 oz of fresh wheatgrass juice everyday for at least a few months you would start to feel a difference. It may be longer or shorter, depending on your own individual body but I think it would be a great daily addition. Also having fruits and vegetable high in vitamin a and other antioxidants will help

    With all due respect, not all wheatgrass contains the same minerals, vitamins... Infact, it's incredible the difference between each make and where it comes from. I suggest one looks at comparisons online between the various brands and buy according to your dietary means. As a guide, I would advise you to start with Body Me & Sari Wheatgrass; the difference between them in nutrition is incredible. It's not that one is better than the other, more..., what suits one's requirement. I used to take Body Me but it doesn't have any copper to speak of (which I particularly want) and so I swapped to Sari. Likewise, Body Me has lots of vitamin C, but Sari doesn't.

    When wheatgrass fully matures, it becomes wheat, right? Cause I would like some the microgreen aspect and also a portion that I could extract seeds from.

    You mentioned adding it to smoothies. From some of the videos I've watched one should not eat the grass because the human body does not have an enzyme in that can break it down unlike horses and cows. Don't know if it's harmful but I know it's not recommended.

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, with everything I’ve researched, it’s healthy for human consumption and I do consume it regularly. But of course you need to follow what you feel is right for you according to your own research 👍

    Does it help diabetics?

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not a doctor, but yes, adding in wheatgrass and lots of other dense leafy greens and Whole Foods versus processed foods will greatly help. There’s a lot of research to back this up. Check out anything by Dr. Neal Barnard for more information on the subject. He has a newish book called “Dr. Neal Barnards program for reducing diabetes”
      Type 2 can be reversed via diet, and type 1 can be managed through diet. All the best, and hope you find some changes that help you feel better.

    There are arguments about wheat grass and by extension plant foods, is that nutrients from the plant foods are not directly available to humans as we don't have the enzyme to breakdown the plant to access its nutrients. Some persons express that taking the wheat grass powder and some other plant powders etc is mostly roughage to humans as the body doesn't break it down to access the nutrients. I find a simple issue such as whether taking these things make sense or not to be quite straightforward as it's either that the body can break it down to benefit from its nutrients or the body cannot do so. I don't see how persons and doctors and specialists can be saying totally different things. It's one human body, it's plants, and we have enough knowledge about each to say what the hell is the case or is not. Can someone clarify this please cuz its exxeedingly annoying doing research in things where specialists are saying different things. It's either persons do not know what the hell they are saying or persons are out to actually LIE about it. Can it be broken down by the body to access its nutrients or not. A yes or no answer will be appreciated with some factual supporting video or info about the human body that supports the claim. Thanx.

    Thats kind of stupid ,, drinking the wheat grass juice than take another juice behind it ,, why not mix the 2 and not get the bitter taste and enjoy !!! I`m sure most of the powders you buy are just as good as fresh with out the hassel of growing it yourself ... With me ,, I been taking the powder every morning befor work in tomato juice and could feel my energy level go up in the first week ... Guess its up to you to decide !!!

    • @veganmichele
      @veganmichele  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep definitely up to personal preference. Growing fresh and juicing on its own is super powerful and retains the most amount nutrients, so that why I prefer to do it this way.
