The author of the tool made a post with some helpful extra tips! Also some builds like DoT/Ailment and minions might have some difficulties. Mostly, if PoB can show you total DPS properly then it should work.

This feels pretty relevant, and should probably be appended somewhere. I hope there will be a change made to be able to use the tool without opening yourself up to such a vulnerability.
Second the notion that you should perhaps put up a 2 minute video explaining the POESESSID and if it's safe to use with Path of Building Community Fork.
Lootfilters don't actually need to be tuned to your needs. You're likely better off having them show you what sells well in the current market (hence why neversink has his filters updated every 4 hours). It is usually more efficient to sell what you get and buy what you need instead of trying to find/craft your next upgrade yourself.
I don't think you can overstate just how strong this tool is. Picked up about 60% more dps without losing defenses all for less time and currency than it would have taken me to find 20% more dps. Unbelievable.
If you picked up 60% more dps that just means you have no idea how to scale your builds damage, the tool is incredibly innacurate as if you are for instance playing a poison build it will find items that scale your hit damage rather than poison damage
@@EjDantes Lol what can they do to address this, only thing they could do is just make it more inconvenient to get you character set up in pob or just gut the tradesite filter options. All of which would be probably hated by the majority of the community.
If you're missing POESESSIONID like I was, then while you have PoE trade open hit F12 to open up the console for your browser, then switch to the Storage tab, select Cookies and your POESESSIONID should now be visible. Simply copy and paste it from there to POB.
This is really a minor nitpick but when you go to read how much that ring changed your DPS at ~8:30, you were reading the wrong panel. The 11.7% was for if you equipped it in slot 1 and replaced the ring that was already there. Placing it in slot 2 is actually a 15.9% DPS increase over empty and a 15.4% increase over your old ring. Also, you can check how it compares to both rings when you first paste the item into POB before even adding it to your build.
Ah whoops thanks for the correction! Yeah right side is ring 1 and below is ring 2 for those who are still wondering. It's a good idea to make sure you are comparing the right ring slot! :D
Thanks for the vid highlighting the feature Ziggy, it's great to have people help spread the awareness of this new feature. Wanted to help provide some more information to those who wish to use it 1. Dolmur, Nostrademous and Dullson are the three people that have done all the coding to create this feature. So thank them if you see them around on Reddit, Twitch chat or the comments here on YT 2. The feature is still in development and will have a bunch more features added as we continue to update PoB. We've already added a max price box to the item finder search (This will be in the next update coming out tomorrow) 3. The issues with it selecting the wrong league and the UI being ontop of each other will also be solved in the next update 4. The issues people have had where they are getting POESESSID errors are not always actually to do with their POESESSID but sometimes the skill they are using or some other bugs. We're working on fixing these + issues people have had trying to use the feature on DoT builds 5. We definitely plan to allow people to allow people to set the stats they wish to have the weighted search work on. So all the different DPS metrics (Average Hit/DoT/Ignite/Bleed etc.). This will also include defensive stats at some point (eHP, Phys Max hit, Ele max hit etc.) 6. You can set the sort by box in the top right to DPS and look at the searched items in PoB will be auto sorted for you. Hovering over the items will show you the full stat differences so you can easily see at a glance how much DPS it will provide you (should work better after tomorrows update when it chooses the correct league for you) 7. You can ctrl+click on the trade link to open it in your web browser. No need to copy and paste the link 8. Currently when you have a weighted search or any search with 10000+ results (like you had with your jewel search), the website is only able to do a sort on the first 10000 results. So you can potentially miss out on the best DPS options cause they might show up at the 11000 result on the trade site. An easy way to fix this is to increase the minimum weight at the very top of the weighted search so that less that 10000 results show up.
Path of Building has already had such a MASSIVE impact on how we build characters in PoE, and here we go again into a new era - algorithmically perfect item shopping... I'm honestly not sure how to feel but it sure is powerful and it sure is handy. Soon maybe I can just click a button and PoB will give me a step by step for an AI-generated perfect build.
I don't think I ever enjoyed searching for items on trade. Its a hassle but you can get good at it, but its not why I enjoy the game. And I'm not sad to see it leave
@@a0000a1234 If the hassle of trade was what was keeping you from the endgame you wouldn't have lasted much longer anyway. All trade does is expedite the length of the gearing process and thus shorten the endgame drastically.
Oh this is sweet. It was also be cool if PoB could "craft" the best rare for the build. From a final item I could recreate the actual crafting method needed to make it, but if PoB could theorize the BiS rare for each slot that would be a game changer.
The immediate improvement to that feature I see is the possibility to cull the mods under a certain weight threshold for better filtering/searching. Thanks a lot for showing that to us !

Seems like a great way to fix attributes and/or resists without losing damage too. Even if it just means browsing a much shorter list of good candidates I'll take it.
I am always getting the error "POE SESS ID invalid" even though I just relogged on the poe site and extracted the session id a minute ago. Also started it in admin mode without changes, anyone else having the same problem and knows a solution?

insane tool but doesn't appear to be working for DoT currently, either they haven't implemented DoT modifers or it is sorting by hit DPS instead of Combined or Total DPS. Was excited to use this to search for jewels for EK ignite, endgame build can use like 5+ jewels, even more if I find insane enough ones. They're not too difficult to search for but I'd love to see how normal jewels are weighted compared to abyss ones, as that comparison is stupidly difficult to make by hand, especially when you need to compare that +level of gems through empower makes flat phys from jewels less impactful but stacking DoT multi makes extra sources of DoT multi also less powerful. So there might be a breakpoint where abyss jewels become better at one stage of the build, but are then surprassed by cobalt jewels with a max level empower.
I'm playing ignite (not EK though) and 99.999% of the time the highest full DPS is also the highest ignite DPS. Otherwise that would mean your hit scaling is still significantly higher than your ignite scaling, which doesn't sound right. Or I'm missing something
I am playing chaos dot...theres absolutely no way the shit thats being presented to me is ideal for my build. I like the idea here...but I apparently can't use this function..
Oh man, this is really an awesome extension. But I can very well imagine that GGG won't like it at all if we can search for items faster and better. Feel the weight of the search exile!
For anyone having a problem getting this to work for minion builds there is a workaround. Select each of your minion skills that you want to contribute to the search and click on the 'Include in Full DPS' button at the end of the skill. Once you have done this for one skill at least, the tool now works for minion builds as well.
What I mean is, more people will experience the uber endgame content due to this feature, thus more high end items enter the market, thus more people get stronger characters. Rinse and repeat.
@@notskrub7013 I guess they want to gatekeep those things...? Lol. And league ends after 3 months. Power creep really isn't a big thing when the league resets every 3 months.
Yeah, it's definitely not going to work perfectly for everything (or at all for some things). Like it can't really calculate the extra value of another projectile in my build for example. And some builds just don't quite work with DPS calculations.
A heads up for folks interested in using this feature. It is definitely beta and DOES NOT do well with chaos dot skills focusing on dot damage. Playing a caustic arrow/toxic rain build and it was focusing on increasing my hit dps rather than dot.
great timing, I've been wondering what to look for in an amulet to improve my glacial cascade Inquisitor. +1 cold and crit multi are the only mods I could think of.
Running an Absolution Minion build and sadly this isn't ready to handle that. Cool feature and hope to see it have some more knobs to turn to have it prioritize minion dps, ignore resistance, or similar things.
Bro we used to search the forums for hours looking at peoples forum shops and searching for one specific globe upgrade for days at a time… this is just insane

I like the idea of just KNOWING "stat weights" for my build. Understanding that I get more out of raw STR than Fire damage to attacks and stuff like that is very helpful. If build makers were to literally list the top 10 stats for DPS that would be all I would need. Maybe give me a pre-canned search for each slot with those stats/slot and I'd be golden. I can add resistances/life ( or it automatically does this ) and i'd be set.
Found solution! Thank you Daera Love in the POE discord! For perpetual session ID invalid errors, make sure you have your mail skill selected. Then try clicking the Find Best button.
I can just imagine the PoB team trying to get in touch with GGG before putting this live. Just to warn them that PoEtrade was about to see an uptick in traffic.
I wonder if this will improve the value of doing ID'd chaos recipe. Chucking anything with a couple damage mods into a bulk sale tab would be a great way to earn some largely passive income. A tool like this makes actually finding those cheap jank items really easy, so it could incentivize people to both sell and buy them.

This is very very cool - one question: does it consider the weighted impact of unique mods, or is this only ever going to suggest buying rares and uniques with craftable mods? E.g. If a unique offers me a build defining keystone as a stat, is that gonna come up in the calculation?
Need Help! I have sessionid setup along with character properly imported and configured! But when I paste the link and set my league it says "No results found" I even slowly got rid of all the weighted affixs and it never finds any items even with 1 weighted affix! Not sure why I cant get it finding items. Help is appreciated thanks :)
I definitely always looked for a way to copy items from POB into POE trade search, even just for predefined items, if you are following a build guide for example. But this is something else. Not sure how to feel about this, truly. This looks a little bit too good, and will bring the player power level higher for sure, which is definitely fantastic for the average player. I hope GGG is not going to balance the game around this xD Trading in POE was always something players don't like, with this players will trade more, which is definitely good :) Way to solve trading without ggg xD or at least half of the problems :)
This is totally game changing. My search returned a belt that had Malevolence effect AND Skill effect duration worth 3c for my Toxic Rain Pathfinder and I just laughed. I totally forgot about corrupted implicits like that.
anyone trying out the "find upgrades" in pob//poe trade site? dont understand why it assigns a dps gain value for stats like life and res?

I solved my problems doing this steps (I also playing summoner and had invalid before that): 1- logout poe website 2- right click and remove cookies from pathofexile in developer tools mode (F12) 3- close navigator and re-open/login again 4- catch new session ID 5- In POB I create a new profile in blank and save it... After that I import my build and mark some options in Configuration, save again, put new session ID and voilá!
On multiple browsers, I've logged out, cleared the cookie (like you describe), logged back in, found new session ID which was clearly new string, used that in admin-launched PoB and still get invalid session ID

Tried this for my death's oath aura occultist build and there it doesnt really work, seems like the output is not yet configured for DoT Builds, atleast poison also has some issues i've heard.

This is pretty nice, but still a little wonky. Even though I had the default softcore league selected, the best item it suggested was from the hardcore league, and the second best was from ruthless. I didn't even catch it until I went to paste the whisper into chat and noticed the message before I sent it. Also, the 3 SC options seem are meant to separate league and ruthless league, but as I said previously, they don't really seem to affect the actual league the results come from, and they all just say 'SC' anyway. I never figured out why there's 3 'SC' options though. If this gets worked on a little bit more, I could see this being a great solution for ekeing a little more DPS out of your build without having to struggle with the very non-intuitive trade tool. It found me some very large DPS upgrade possibilities in the
I did figure it out (the *third* SC option is for SC Sanctum trade), so at least the filters work, even if the descriptions themselves are lacking. I was able to pick up a weapon for 10c that managed to bump my DPS by quite a bit, so the actual functionality is sound - it just needs some UI work.
Someone else was having the same issue earlier, haven't figured out what the issue is yet sorry. Might just be a bug, this is a new beta feature effectively.

I've been using pob for the past 3 years but never used the 'node power' feature yet. What am I missing? I just either plan my own or work off of a made pob and change it abit.
I put my ssid in podb build that I like and press search for item, I get error or item that is not in build, so when put URL in browser I get totally something different, is it still buggy?
i am not sure if low weighting means it's low value --- it's relative to the number ranges, ie, if something has a high range, like accuracy, the value of adding 1 accuracy is lower.

Can anyone try and explain this please? I bought a corrupted 6L Wildwrap chest armor, the corrupt was 46% Increased Damage. When I equipped it, my DPS did not change at all. I spent a lot on it, 30 divine, and not sure why/how it does not increase my barrage damage. I put sockets in bow and my chest armor, neither one increased DPS..Can anyone explain this please? Ty
Took a bit to get used to this system, but managed to buy 13% more DPS with 22 chaos, while also learning that Gem level aren't as good as I expected on my gem! Good stuff!

tool is alright, gave me like 10% more DPS while severely sacrificing defenses. but I will say, it was very cheap
I've been using PoE Item Tester macro my whole PoE career and seeing that it's now baseline in PoB warms my heart

ggg: you can only search for 3 mods at most, no advanced conditions etc basically gut how complex query can be

Replaced my helmet, gloves, and a ring after this and got about a 70% DPS boost (and about 150 life). This is amazing!

What I mean is, more people will experience the uber endgame content due to this feature, thus more high end items enter the market, thus more people get stronger characters. Rinse and repeat.

Is there a way for this to calculate for poison/dot dps? It seems that when i do this it only calculates for hit dps
Wish I could use it for my build but PoB currently doesn't calculate decay dps correctly.
Yeah, it's definitely not going to work perfectly for everything (or at all for some things). Like it can't really calculate the extra value of another projectile in my build for example. And some builds just don't quite work with DPS calculations.
@@ZiggyDGaming It's at least a nice addition for most build though for sure even with some builds not being able to really make use of it.
A heads up for folks interested in using this feature. It is definitely beta and DOES NOT do well with chaos dot skills focusing on dot damage. Playing a caustic arrow/toxic rain build and it was focusing on increasing my hit dps rather than dot.

Running an Absolution Minion build and sadly this isn't ready to handle that. Cool feature and hope to see it have some more knobs to turn to have it prioritize minion dps, ignore resistance, or similar things.

I like the idea of just KNOWING "stat weights" for my build. Understanding that I get more out of raw STR than Fire damage to attacks and stuff like that is very helpful.
If build makers were to literally list the top 10 stats for DPS that would be all I would need.
Maybe give me a pre-canned search for each slot with those stats/slot and I'd be golden. I can add resistances/life ( or it automatically does this ) and i'd be set.

For perpetual session ID invalid errors, make sure you have your mail skill selected. Then try clicking the Find Best button.

For some reason, it keeps forwarding me to HC Sanctum when I am playing SC Trade and have SC Trade selected.

I really want this to work with Timeless jewels. It can already tell me which one's the best but manually putting in every number is maddening
I wonder if this will improve the value of doing ID'd chaos recipe. Chucking anything with a couple damage mods into a bulk sale tab would be a great way to earn some largely passive income. A tool like this makes actually finding those cheap jank items really easy, so it could incentivize people to both sell and buy them.

This is very very cool - one question: does it consider the weighted impact of unique mods, or is this only ever going to suggest buying rares and uniques with craftable mods? E.g. If a unique offers me a build defining keystone as a stat, is that gonna come up in the calculation?
Need Help! I have sessionid setup along with character properly imported and configured! But when I paste the link and set my league it says "No results found" I even slowly got rid of all the weighted affixs and it never finds any items even with 1 weighted affix! Not sure why I cant get it finding items. Help is appreciated thanks :)

I definitely always looked for a way to copy items from POB into POE trade search, even just for predefined items, if you are following a build guide for example. But this is something else.
Not sure how to feel about this, truly. This looks a little bit too good, and will bring the player power level higher for sure, which is definitely fantastic for the average player. I hope GGG is not going to balance the game around this xD
Trading in POE was always something players don't like, with this players will trade more, which is definitely good :) Way to solve trading without ggg xD or at least half of the problems :)
This is totally game changing. My search returned a belt that had Malevolence effect AND Skill effect duration worth 3c for my Toxic Rain Pathfinder and I just laughed. I totally forgot about corrupted implicits like that.
anyone trying out the "find upgrades" in pob//poe trade site? dont understand why it assigns a dps gain value for stats like life and res?
I hope it help someone! I solved my problems doing this steps (I also playing summoner and had invalid before that):
1- logout poe website
2- right click and remove cookies from pathofexile in developer tools mode (F12)
3- close navigator and re-open/login again
4- catch new session ID
5- In POB I create a new profile in blank and save it... After that I import my build and mark some options in Configuration, save again, put new session ID and voilá!
On multiple browsers, I've logged out, cleared the cookie (like you describe), logged back in, found new session ID which was clearly new string, used that in admin-launched PoB and still get invalid session ID

Tried this for my death's oath aura occultist build and there it doesnt really work, seems like the output is not yet configured for DoT Builds, atleast poison also has some issues i've heard.

Doesn't seem to work with Bane yet. Keeps recommending melee weapons and 4-links.
This is pretty nice, but still a little wonky. Even though I had the default softcore league selected, the best item it suggested was from the hardcore league, and the second best was from ruthless. I didn't even catch it until I went to paste the whisper into chat and noticed the message before I sent it. Also, the 3 SC options seem are meant to separate league and ruthless league, but as I said previously, they don't really seem to affect the actual league the results come from, and they all just say 'SC' anyway. I never figured out why there's 3 'SC' options though.
If this gets worked on a little bit more, I could see this being a great solution for ekeing a little more DPS out of your build without having to struggle with the very non-intuitive trade tool. It found me some very large DPS upgrade possibilities in the
I did figure it out (the *third* SC option is for SC Sanctum trade), so at least the filters work, even if the descriptions themselves are lacking. I was able to pick up a weapon for 10c that managed to bump my DPS by quite a bit, so the actual functionality is sound - it just needs some UI work.

I've been using pob for the past 3 years but never used the 'node power' feature yet. What am I missing?
I just either plan my own or work off of a made pob and change it abit.

I put my ssid in podb build that I like and press search for item, I get error or item that is not in build, so when put URL in browser I get totally something different, is it still buggy?
i am not sure if low weighting means it's low value --- it's relative to the number ranges, ie, if something has a high range, like accuracy, the value of adding 1 accuracy is lower.

This just for jewels is already worth it. Like you said you can get a good jewel search down to 90% but it takes a decent bit of time.
Can anyone try and explain this please? I bought a corrupted 6L Wildwrap chest armor, the corrupt was 46% Increased Damage. When I equipped it, my DPS did not change at all. I spent a lot on it, 30 divine, and not sure why/how it does not increase my barrage damage. I put sockets in bow and my chest armor, neither one increased DPS..Can anyone explain this please? Ty

Took a bit to get used to this system, but managed to buy 13% more DPS with 22 chaos, while also learning that Gem level aren't as good as I expected on my gem!
