Great review. I went Garmin a few months ago and do HITT three days a week. That body battery changed my life 😂. Love your natural excitement when you do reviews. Happy 2021.
Thanks for an informative comparison! Just a point of order: in the Polar you can actually have up to eight fully customisable screens with 1-4 fields of data per screen plus some additional screens, all per sports profile, and you can scroll through them during workout! So in effect more info than you have time to read during your workout. I typically group the info into logical sets, such as one screen with elapsed time, total distance and average pulse, and another with autolap average values for the same. Autolap can either be set for distance, time or location. Quite useful.
Thank you for the amazing video. 78% accuracy for Garmin, 59% Polar? WOW. I have a Fenix 5 and I find that the OHR is garbage. I was expecting that the Polar would have a much better OHR. Are you sure you didn't mixed them? :)
Yes the F5 is running an older sensor and is not accurate - BUT - it can easily pair to a chest strap for accuracy. And yes - the Garmin elevate 3.0 sensor featured here came out better than Polar for crossfit intensity workouts - but BOTH need to be paired to chest strap for accuracy!
Not sure about map on the small watch for extra $100. I mean phone with a big display is much convenient for the cases if you get lost or for emergency, in other cases you could just follow your course..
Ha - yes for sure. The map seems usable enough on the 6S, but smaller for sure. It does show trails around you versus being limited on your phone without a specific app showing trails. Thanks!
great overview to show both the watches and the apps. I'm using a Polar V800 for about 6 years now and I am really happy with it as all my data is already tracked through polar flow. I'm looking to get another watch as my current one is slowly giving up and the battery life is now down to 10 days instead of the 25 days it used to do with about an hour workout daily. Is there any desktop app that can be used with Garmin like Polar does it? I'm not a fan of mobile apps as they don't really allow you to get into greater detail and as for my own preference convinience.
Yes they all have desktop versions! Garmin’s is pretty top notch, IMO. They are currently offering the best features and watches as well. Let me know what you decide to go with!
Yes for sure - was super shocked when I put it all together. Don’t have time to splice these days so unfortunately it was left to be what it was. Thanks!
Great question! Total toss up. I like the look and quality build of the F6, but the weight is an issue. Waiting on a titanium version in the mail! Will post how it goes.
This is really great review , helps me decide on either the Garmin Fenix vs polar vantage v2. Thank you !
So glad it helped! Hope you like your new watch!

Thank you! And sorry for the excessively long video haha. Yes the body battery is awesome and on point. Thanks for following and commenting!
@@fitgearhunter I appreciate all the details. It is not excessive.
@@InsightCreationz you’re a great fit for the channel then! :)

a really good, detailed comparison.... i love to watch your videos ... thanks for that🙏🏻
Sure thing - thanks for watching!
mix the funktions and put it into the Polar, since it is looking better, hope the fenix 7 will be smoother. Thanks

Great video brother ! Looks like I'm going to be getting myself a Garmin !
Good call! Much more advanced.
But still to the forerunner or Fenix series for workout analytics!

When do you see the fenix lowering in price and what to roughly?
amazing video. Is the cardio load in polar the same as aerobic and anaerobic?
Thanks! It’s the same as the aerobic training effect, but not the anaerobic.
great video very long but lots of good useful detail

Great info! So, given Garmin... 945 or Fenix?
Great question! Total toss up. I like the look and quality build of the F6, but the weight is an issue. Waiting on a titanium version in the mail! Will post how it goes.
@@fitgearhunter thanks for the reply. I too like the aesthetics of the Fenix. So maybe the 6S pro? I don't have the world's largest wrists...
@@tedjenkins1736 yes the 6S is incredible how much is packed in. Have a video coming out for it vs the 6 in a few days
So I am between polar grit X and Garmin fenix 6 what would you recommend for indoor training such as CrossFit interval training and martial arts?
For martial arts I mean basically the bodycombat training from Les mills if you know it
What did you go for?
Great Video ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Thanks!
Hey man. Your audio needs an upgrade. If you got that fixed I’ll join again. Audio is more important than video quality.
Okay got it - thanks for the feedback. Anything particular that’s bothersome about it? Too loud, not clear? Just want to correct.
@@fitgearhunter use better mic and eq a little lower because you have rather loud voice yourself.
@@fitgearhunter it was mostly quality of audio during intro.
@@mikefire_amsterdam great - got it - will do
