I found your channel and I subscribed immediately. Everything you said in your videos are great!! Right now I am practicing Crossfit at a competitive level. I have a iphone 15 pro max and I would like to ask you about what is the best Watch I can use to track my Crossfit trainings. I was thinking in the venu 3 but I discarted it because I saw in one of your comments that the venu 3 does not have some metrics. Right now I'm thinking in the Garmin epix(normal version, not pro) and the apple watch series 10. I would like to have not only a sportwatch, I would like to have an smartwatch too, I mean, to have compatibility with my iphone, have a cood ecosystem. Can you give me a recommendation please? Not sure where/how they're figuring 95% accuracy, but it doesn't look like it. Accuracy should've been the major point here.

Do you think the Race S is better than the Vantage M3?

My 965 comes today. I will just pair it to my Coros arm heart rate strap which is very accurate. I returned my Fenix 8 due to all the bugs. Like you said, it is useless for calling and is slow to take commands. As far as skin temp is I wear an Oura 4 and a whoop on my bicep. Garmin has too many watches. It would be great to have the 965 with the new heart rate sensors, sapphire glass and a flashlight. All Garmins should have the same software like training readiness and readiness score. You should pay extra for things like sapphire, larger screen, longer battery life, flashlight, etc but software shouldn’t be dependent on the watch. For example, the 165 is a running watch so it should have readiness and training metrics.

I got the Race S in September and love it. But as an above average size man (fingers not the least) I have now ordered an Race. Assuming use of crown and buttons to be even better. Let see. Any remark on that aspect from you?

thanks for the great review! I find with the typical bands, when I swim, the resistance from the water flips the whoop itself upside down so I have to put their hydro sleeve over top to keep the sensor on my skin. Do you think these rubber bands would be sturdy enough to stay in place while swimming?

Is there any differences between fenix 8 amoled stainless steel and fenix 8 amoled sapphire except materials and sensor guard color?

One oif very few reviews on youtuibe with stainless steel version. Think, I made my decision, I will buy the 47mm stainless steel.

I've ordered the Enduro 3 as an upgrade to my Instinct 2x Tactical. The Enduro popped up with a very unexpected 25% Boxing Day discount, so I made an impulse buy. I'd been thinking about it, but not really seriously, because the Instinct was perfectly fine. I'm not really in the Amoled camp, but...I do like the Red Shift option and also the Green and Orange options too. I'd probably wear the watch permanently in Red Shift with always on display. I wonder how that chews through the battery? The Tactix is another amazing watch. It has a low glow green shift for tactical situations. It would be very cool to have that always on at night time. It would look like a watch with those Tritium Tubes or a very bright Citizen Ecodrive. MIPS misses out on these little gems, but other than that, I'm MIPS all the way. I use the watch outdoors most of the time and really appreciate the long battery life. For the 25% off Enduro 3 I got here in NZ, this was the one for me.

I actually had my Garmin Epix Gen2 and AWU 2 compared over few days from sleep to easy walking. I can confirm that Bevel body battery tracks accurately vs. Garmin BB spot on. This is a feature that Athlytic struggles with. Basically, Bevel algorithm is as smart and neat as Garmin from measuring HRV, BB and stress. I am very impressed! N.B There is a stress score now.

I went from the 965 to the Epix Pro Gen2 51mm on eBay $600 new when the new Fenix dropped and I love the bigger bezel. This guys video is awesome. Dude is walking his dog through some beautiful wilderness while providing comprehensive information. Very organic vs someone in front of their perfect camera and oversized mic covering their face. Thank you for the great information.

Thinking to switch to Coros for HR accuracy, I dont like wearing hr straps as I run minimalist. Garmin is so dissapointing

"Worth every penny." You're delusional. Desperate to post-justify the money you spent. Scuba diving feature for a guy who doesn't dive, and a half-assed microphone implementation that doesn't fully interface with the phone properly. Same slow CPU as watches released 4 years ago. Bugs galore crashing when saving activities, causing users to lose the activity they just completed. Battery consumption bug resulting in one third the promised battery endurance. Double the street price of the last generation. You're delusional.

I want to buy the forerunner 965 but I’m afraid 975 is around the corner, is that a valid concern not to buy?

The main reason I chose the Fenix 7 Pro over the Forerunner 965-or any Forerunner model, for that matter-is purely because of its looks. The Forerunners, to me, have a design that feels more like a kid’s watch, with a sporty and lightweight aesthetic. On the other hand, the Fenix 7 Pro has a more classic and premium design that suits my style better. I know it might seem like a petty reason, especially considering functionality is key in sports watches, but aesthetics do matter when you’re wearing something daily. That classic, rugged vibe of the Fenix just won me over.

Good video as far as it goes, but a little less time spent on colour choices and more on other options such as how to stop it defaulting to some other watch face when in sleep mode would be a useful addition to your vid. If anyone would like to comment how to change the sleep mode options please do, thanks.

As a cyclist, ANT+ was a deal breaker. Unfortunately Coros doesn't support it.

Unfortunately the heart rate data on the Ultra 2 is problematic when running. Many reviews of this and it reduces its value as a training tool. Works OK when paired with garmin and polar straps, but should not have to do this. Ultra 2 bulky and uncomfortable for recording sleep patterns. Overall much happier with my garmins as health and training tools. Much more accurate.

I had the 7xpro sapphire [great watch] switched to AWU II [will sell - pain in the …], incoming Tactix 7 amoled [happy camper].

Garmin fell into a typical trap. They always had to one-up the fenix to make it somewhat superior to the predecessor. But by doing that they actually turned it more and more into a niche product. There is almost no reason to buy an 8 unless you really want to use it as a dive watch or sth like that. For the 90% of people who maybe started at some point with any kind of fenix, the feature set of a 5 or even 3 was absolutely enough. Most often it's just the processing power and nicer looks that are practically important 😅.

From the video the flat screen of the 165 looks less reflective and easier to look at than the 265. Do they both have the same screen brightness?

I was about to buy the Fenix 7 that's on sale for $449. Your review now makes me wanna change my mind. (I scuba dive once in a while so that's another point for the 8)

I need to be able to receive and make calls from the clock. It is difficult to have to pick up the phone in various winter sports. when I drive jet skis or snowmobile I prefer to have the phone in a bag. So what weighs for the Fenix 8 is the microphone.
