As a car enthusiast I like Ferraris but they're snob attitude has outlasted their performance lead. When Ferrari was king of the hill and no one could touch them sure, I get why the company is like that but today their cars get outperformed by mclaren and arent as flashy as a lambo. So the people who still buy ferraris are just holding onto the past when Ferrari was king or people who just buy it for the name.
Agreed, my first ever dream car at age 3 was the enzo. Nowadays, ferrari can’t keep keep. Everyone else is either quicker, cheaper or better quality. The snob attitude got too much for me.
@@farhanshameel7810 I guess that's why they're successful. Selling 10000 cars a year to people who're willing to wait two years means they're not going anywhere Lamborghini is friendlier Mercedes AMG is probably overall the best supercar Porsche is well, porsche etc But I guess they are all too mainstream (case in point Huracan and GTR with TH-camrs)
Outperformed is dependant on many things, such as the model. The MP4-12C beats the 458 Italia on track, but looking at the successors, the 488 GTB beats the 650S on track. And the 488 Pista completely smokes the 675LT on track. Ferrari also make the best engines, they’ve consecutively won a Best Engine of the Year award yearly since 2011. Their cars are engineered very well. And I agree with Ferrari being picky over who can buy their cars. Before I didn’t understand it at all. But now I do. There’s many car flippers around nowadays. That’s why even Ford had contracts of keeping the GT for a certain amount of time and I think Porsche did something similar. Plus brand reputation is very important. And Ferrari are just smart on a business scale, by creating demand for their base cars by making their exclusive cars exclusive to certain people because you need to have a certain amount of base versions you have the exclusive ones.
Project R Well the the 675 LT wasn’t a competitor to the 488 Pista. Take a McLaren 765 LT or even the 720S and it would demolish the Pista on track and on a straight. Even a Porsche GT2 RS beats a Pista easily. Ferrari aren’t competition to companies like Lamborghini, Porsche, or McLaren anymore. Why do you think they never revealed the lap time of the LaFerrari when they went against the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder? They knew they got beat by the competition. They were just afraid to show it in order to keep the fake status they believe they possess.
How many times has Ferrari won the Le Mans 24 hour race, since 1965? How many times has Porsche and Audi respecively won that race? Ferrari ranks third.

Do you know which is the cheapest car you can afford?
a Ford
I used to cant afford a Ferrari and I thought why not I invest Ferrari shares and one day I'll earn enough from the shares to be able to afford a Ferrari. So i bought it when it's around $50 and now my dream came true. So don't give up that dream.

Ferrari should retain their naturally aspirated V12 engine
They probably won't because of the fines they would get from the carbon emission quota in Europe

@@shimeih2287 yup, Ferrari has to go with the times, lots of smaller engines get better and better, of course because of Research and Developement. I don't really see a problem with a V8 or even V6 in a Ferrari in the future.

Ferrari isn’t particularly known for their excellent quality.
Look at the brand new Ferrari Roma interior, I’ll be amazed, old ferraris used to be austere, now it’s all different story
Then buy a 458, reliable and fast
You're talking about Alfa Romeo and Maserati
Actually is very reliable and very nice details for the supercar industry.

Right
Ferrari has 3 Legends in our hearts, Enzo Ferrari, Pininfarina and Michael Schumacher.
Hard to understand why people think Ferrari is just a luxury car brand and nothing else.

You mean they buy it for the Ferrari badge?
Agreed, my first ever dream car at age 3 was the enzo. Nowadays, ferrari can’t keep keep. Everyone else is either quicker, cheaper or better quality. The snob attitude got too much for me.
@@farhanshameel7810 I guess that's why they're successful. Selling 10000 cars a year to people who're willing to wait two years means they're not going anywhere
Lamborghini is friendlier
Mercedes AMG is probably overall the best supercar
Porsche is well, porsche etc
But I guess they are all too mainstream (case in point Huracan and GTR with TH-camrs)
Companies like Ferrari & Supreme have figured it out. Limit production, create hype, less work, more money. lol. Thanks for the video, CNBC.
How many times has Ferrari won the Le Mans 24 hour race, since 1965? How many times has Porsche and Audi respecively won that race? Ferrari ranks third.

@@cerisem7727 huh?? Have you checked their recent work? It's pretty good.
@@shimeih2287 it's been a while, maybe a year or two now. But was mostly in it for Up To Speed and the how does (insert automotive term) works, and the random history on certain things (for example, "Why did they get rid of pop up headlights?").
It feels they lost direction on where to go after all the popular cars and how certain common parts work were explained. It focused on niche cars (don't mind), test driving cars from dealer lots, and don't know what else they started before I stopped watching.

If I can afford anything with the Ferrari logo on it, then they are doing it wrong. They won't be able to maintain that 24% margin on the cars if exclusiveness of the brand is diminished. The logo needs to be reserved to those that can afford it. A short term cash grab could turn Ferrari into just another mediocre Mercedes type of brand. As middle class person I don't care to own a Ferrari mug, watch, or laptop. I want the car!!! Keep the Ferrari experience exclusive, and give the people the wins on the race track.
@Robert. Well, I understand your feelings and what you said are your options. But millions of people, especially race fans, around would beg to differ. They love the brand, they love the race team, they attend races or follow them on TV, and would would love come come away with part of history. Usually in the form of Ferrari merchandise. So, it's okay if Ferrari can do mugs, baseball caps, key chains and clothing. It's the only way the legions of Ferrari F1 fans can get their hands on something related to the team

I don't give a rats a$$ about their car business, I'm more into their racing department (mostly F1 and GT racing). I mean Enzo Ferrari had to sell cars in order to fund his main passion, RACING. Even refused to sell to Ford because they wouldn't let him have full control of the Scuderia. I'm sure that was a very good move, Ford would have killed Ferrari off.
