The Torsion Balance in Physics - Coulomb and Cavendish: LD Industries Physics 20/30

The Torsion Balance is a device used to measure very small forces. And it had a historic run of doing so, being used by Coulomb to measure the electric force between two charged objects (used to work out the Electrostatic Constant, k) and later Cavendish, who measured the force of gravity between two masses (used to work out the Universal Gravitational Constant, G). But how did this thing actually work? Here's a video to outline the basics.
