The experiment shown in the beginning of the video was conducted by Henry Cavendish to calculate the value of Gravitational constant, which is 6.67×10^-11 Nm²/kg². Also, if the effect of gravity on smaller bodies is able to be shown just by suspending two small balls on a horizontal bar, then why isn't the effect of gravity shown elsewhere like this?
It's difficult to show the effect of gravity on smaller objects else where because of opposing forces like gravitational pull from other objects, friction, air resistance and much more other counter acting forces. "That's why Cavendish suspended the balls on a horizontal bar to eliminate friction and put it in a wooden box to try and eliminate other forces as well. We haven't done this elsewhere because it's difficult to eliminate the other opposing forces perfectly.
@@ovidius2000 That's erroneous and stupid. I myself in my physics degree did the Cavendish experiment, as every physics student does. It has been redone thousands if not millions of times. Cavendish recognised that heat is a factor to cause his torsion balance to move. Imo nobody can achieve thermal equilibrium within their torsion balance because one cannot determine that the centre of a large lead ball is at the same temperature as the centre of a small lead ball. The same can be said with all other pieces of the apparatus especially if they are made with different materials, e.g. wood for the beam. Observing the torsion balance swing around slightly and putting the causation of that movement down to gravitational attraction is a great idea but one has to prove it is because of gravitational attraction and not just attraction of masses due to differentials in heat or perhaps some other unknown explanation. All Cavendish proved was that he had a vivid imagination!!! That's unsurprising though given he had lots of money, never married or had children, ate the same meal every day for most of his life and didn't like his portrait sketched or painted.

Because gravity is a two way street. Earth causes a gravitational force on you, and you cause a gravitational force on it. If we can measure what gravity two known masses would cause on each other, and measure their own weights, as Cavendish had done, we can apply this knowledge to find the mass of the Earth.
Tudo muito bem explicado. Mas que tipo de força é a gravidade??? Elétrica, Magnética, nuclear, mecânica, alguem sabe dizer??????? Nem Isaac newton saberia.
In general, the simplest form of object positioning around another object in space is spheroidal positioning. Just like Electrons around nuclear in atom , But why do the planets in the solar system form a disc around the sun?
Since Gravitation has now been shown to be fictitious and appears as a force only because of space time curvature, how does this experiment work? Is the large mass warping space so the smaller balls move towards it?
pretty much with one minor change.. both masses are warping space/time & both masses are trying to move toward each other.. just the small mass is freely allowed to move.

Long time ago people find, that earth is not ideal sphere, and even centre of the mass is not fixed. In simple words directions of gravity will not intersect in the same point (centar of the earth), or vertical will not be vertical but declined for some part of the second.
Gravitational field & energy contained in gravitational field exist in space around & b/w mass bearing objects. What is source of gravitational energy? Does gravitational field borrow its energy from space since there is nothing else there except Space. Is space an energy field?
The law of gravity is one of the fundamental principles that explains how objects interact in the universe. It was formulated by Sir Isaac Newton in the 17th century and describes the gravitational force that pulls objects toward each other. Key Concepts of the Law of Gravity 1. Definition: Newton's law of gravity states that every object with mass in the universe attracts every other object with mass. This force is called gravitational attraction. 2. Gravitational Force Formula: Newton represented the law of gravity with this formula: F = \frac{{G \cdot m_1 \cdot m_2}}{{r^2}} Where: is the gravitational force between two objects. is the gravitational constant (a fixed value of approximately ). and are the masses of the two objects. is the distance between the centers of the two objects. 3. How the Force Changes with Mass and Distance: The more massive the objects, the stronger the gravitational force between them. The farther apart the objects, the weaker the gravitational force. 4. Universal Application: The law applies everywhere, affecting all objects in the universe, whether they are stars, planets, or smaller objects. 5. Planetary Orbits and Gravity: Gravity keeps planets orbiting around the sun. The sun’s gravity pulls on the planets, while the planets’ motion keeps them from falling directly into the sun. This balance creates stable orbits. 6. Weight on Earth: Gravity is why we have weight. Your weight is the gravitational pull Earth exerts on your body. If you went to a planet with more mass than Earth, you’d weigh more because of stronger gravity; on a smaller planet, you’d weigh less. 7. Free Fall and Acceleration: Gravity causes objects to fall towards Earth. This fall accelerates at approximately on Earth, which means an object’s speed increases by about every second it falls. Limitations and Modern Gravity Theory While Newton’s law of gravity works well for many cases, it doesn’t explain everything. In the 20th century, Albert Einstein developed the theory of general relativity, which describes gravity as a warping of space and time rather than a force between objects. This theory explains gravity’s effects in extreme conditions, like near black holes or very massive stars. In Summary Newton’s law of gravity helps explain why: We are pulled towards Earth and have weight. Objects fall when dropped. Planets, moons, and stars stay in orbit. This law changed our understanding of the universe by showing that the same force governs the motion of everyday objects and the movement of celestial bodies across space.
I am thinking round apple fall on ground due to gravitational force then why moon moving around instead of falling down on ground due to gravitational force. Neither let it go away nor it let it fall on the ground.
Alright so maybe if you paid attention to the video you would know. The reasons why the apple falls into the Earth's surface and the Moon doesnt are these: 1.- If you take a look at the formula for universal gravitation, and as it is SAID in the video you are commenting, the gravitational pull decreases by the square of the distance between the 2 analized objects. The Moon is very far away from the Earth, but not enought to scape its pull, the apple in the other hand, is right by its surface, where the force exerted in it thanks to the gravitational field of the earth is much much stronger. 2.- The Moon has inertia (or centrifugal force) thanks to its orbit around Earth, which as you should know, given you are watching physics videos, is a force exeded in objects when on a circular motion, that pulls tangentially to its path, which already stated, is circular. And as an added bonus to sprinkle some more knowledge into you the reason this motion doesnt stop is because space is frictionless, meaning there is no recistence to the motion of objects, thats why the Moon can keep ots orbit indefinitely, or the Erth's orbit around the Sun, etc. This is thanks to Newton's first law of motion, that if no force is applied on an object, its motion will not change. The reason here on Earth things do eventually stop moving is thanks to either surface friction, viscocity of fluids, or air recistence.
The origin of momentum creation is founded on the application of energy. Momentum serves as the initial cause of pushing and pulling. The energy, emanating from the internal core of a planet, is what gives rise to momentum, commonly referred to as gravity, and not due to the planet’s size, mass, or space-time curvature. For example, when energy is applied, it generates the necessary momentum for the actions of pushing and pulling. Without the application of energy, momentum cannot be established. Consequently, force cannot be exerted for pushing and pulling, as it lacks a physical existence. This, in turn, clarifies why force is not gravity. ~Guadalupe Guerra
Bhaskaracharya described gravity in the context of a geocentric model, not a heliocentric one. He does not seem to have concluded that the Sun, Moon, etc. also have gravity, ascribing it as a property of the Earth. He did not create any mathematical description of how gravity works
I haven't a doubt....!! You said that every body attract each other due to force of attarction but where does this force come from a Ideal body....? Waiting for the Answer :)
The torsion wire experiment can never be exactly perfect unless each known mass has the exact same number of atoms. This is why we haven’t been able to get an exact measurement. The previous experiments have used 4 masses of known weights yes, but a slight variation in density in each mass would give several different outcomes due to the amount of atoms and densities. The best way would be to measure each mass’s attraction to each mass in the system. Aka each mass is rotated into all possible points and measured. 16 different measurements. But this also has issues to be able to repeat the precise position as each mass is moved to a new position. Also the tension wire will never have the same torque value repeatedly. I’m working on a new experiment model that should eliminate this inconsistency and also prove another theory(s).
Not only a theory, that's the thing how actually things work.... According to Newton's 2nd law of motion, F=Ma M=F/a Now, we know that Apple and Earth pulls each other with equal force. Earth Mass is much much greater than the mass of Apple. If the Mass is higher then the acceleration becomes lower, As Mass and acceleration are inversely proportional to each other. Earth Mass is much much higher than the Apple's Mass, So Earth's acceleration towards apple will become approx Zero. That's why Earth doesn't moves towards apple, only apple moves towards earth....
@@HarshaHarshG-tb3pu Ok, give me your take on how gravity causes acceleration between masses? Traditionally it’s the radius adjusting it, but…why and how does this measurement really do the deed? I have a hypothesis as to how it works, but would like to see if you have something different first.
You have to think in terms of Inertia. Basically Earth have more Inertia than Apple, As Inertia and Mass are Directly proportional to each other. Inertia is like Laziness, Earth doesn't want to move towards apple as Earth Mass is greater than the Apple's Mass. Only Apple moves towards the Earth.

if what you mean by this (cuz I have absolutely 0 clue of what you are saying, please improve your english) is ti ask why the moon doesnt fall to the earth the asnwer is because of the inertia or centrifugal force it has thanks to its orbit, as you know space is a frctionless surface so this keeps going forever. also what do you mean by "course speed"

It would work even better there, as there would be no air resistance.
Keep making this kind of videos.
How long to wait for the experience described in the beginning
So in the center of the earth, gravitational force is equal in every direction, thus there is no gravitational force there. Am I right?
Yes
Excellent video!
Hello, thanks for your video. I would like to do the video with animation like you.
Can you guide me on how to do that?
Thank you very much ❤❤❤

Gravitational field appears in space. Is it part of space or Mass which induces it.
How u can know exacly mass of earth without measure weight of earth?
Because gravity is a two way street. Earth causes a gravitational force on you, and you cause a gravitational force on it. If we can measure what gravity two known masses would cause on each other, and measure their own weights, as Cavendish had done, we can apply this knowledge to find the mass of the Earth.
Very good. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏
And the beauty that Coloumb's Electrostatic force is exact analogous to gravitational force
Yeah, the Beauty of Physics.....
Is this use for gravity presentation
Since Gravitation has now been shown to be fictitious and appears as a force only because of space time curvature, how does this experiment work? Is the large mass warping space so the smaller balls move towards it?
pretty much with one minor change.. both masses are warping space/time & both masses are trying to move toward each other.. just the small mass is freely allowed to move.
Lol Newton proposed "what goes up must come down" and "mass attracts mass" around 1666... Helium (has mass and NEVER goes down) was discovered in 1868...
There is no universal law of gravity attraction, cause a simple gas such as helium, debunks that allegedly claimes "law"... i highly suggest you go watch Richard Feynman lecture about how laws of nature are discovered...
"If it (your theory) disagrees with experiment, it (your theory) is wrong"
--Richard Feynman
Once again, dropping a helium balloon (both have mass) disagrees with the proposal of "mass attracts mass"...
How did henry calculated it, pls i really want to know
Nice explanation please we need more
Long time ago people find, that earth is not ideal sphere, and even centre of the mass is not fixed.
Understand well... thank you 🍃
Good informative video 👍🏻
Can you plz explain the friction force
The law of gravity is one of the fundamental principles that explains how objects interact in the universe. It was formulated by Sir Isaac Newton in the 17th century and describes the gravitational force that pulls objects toward each other.
Key Concepts of the Law of Gravity
1. Definition: Newton's law of gravity states that every object with mass in the universe attracts every other object with mass. This force is called gravitational attraction.
2. Gravitational Force Formula: Newton represented the law of gravity with this formula:
F = \frac{{G \cdot m_1 \cdot m_2}}{{r^2}}
Where:
is the gravitational force between two objects.
is the gravitational constant (a fixed value of approximately ).
and are the masses of the two objects.
is the distance between the centers of the two objects.
3. How the Force Changes with Mass and Distance:
The more massive the objects, the stronger the gravitational force between them.
Limitations and Modern Gravity Theory
While Newton’s law of gravity works well for many cases, it doesn’t explain everything. In the 20th century, Albert Einstein developed the theory of general relativity, which describes gravity as a warping of space and time rather than a force between objects. This theory explains gravity’s effects in extreme conditions, like near black holes or very massive stars.
In Summary
Newton’s law of gravity helps explain why:
We are pulled towards Earth and have weight.
Objects fall when dropped.
Planets, moons, and stars stay in orbit.
This law changed our understanding of the universe by showing that the same force governs the motion of everyday objects and the movement of celestial bodies across space.
Outstanding sir.
How much time it takes for the small ball to touch the big ball?
will depend on length and weight (light) of the stick, freedom of rotation and weight and density (heavy and dense) of the balls
I am thinking round apple fall on ground due to gravitational force then why moon moving around instead of falling down on ground due to gravitational force. Neither let it go away nor it let it fall on the ground.
Alright so maybe if you paid attention to the video you would know. The reasons why the apple falls into the Earth's surface and the Moon doesnt are these:
1.- If you take a look at the formula for universal gravitation, and as it is SAID in the video you are commenting, the gravitational pull decreases by the square of the distance between the 2 analized objects.
The reason here on Earth things do eventually stop moving is thanks to either surface friction, viscocity of fluids, or air recistence.
the moon is permanently pulled away by its tangential momentum which is equal to the gravitaional force of earth
Wow, what software have you used to make this animation?
Newton did not introduce or use the gravitational constant. That was added at a later stage long after he died.
Great Mathematician Bhaskaracharya discovered Gravity and Laws of Motion centuries before Sir Isaac Newton
Wonderful explanation
3:40 though it’s true that Newton deduced this fact I think the example shown by itself (in this video) is technically an induction
Wow😱😲 manificent explanation Sir ji 🌻💐💝🤓⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💯💯😊✌️ and thank you Sir ji for make a this awesome videos 🙏👍😊
Nice narration..!! Apple pulls the earth.. quite a theory
Not only a theory, that's the thing how actually things work....
According to Newton's 2nd law of motion, F=Ma
M=F/a
Now, we know that Apple and Earth pulls each other with equal force.
@@starventure Aree kahana kya Chahte ho....!!
@@starventure I didn't get what you said.
Can you elaborate your Comment plz.
Was it cleared to newton if the earth was radial🤔I mean spherical
Yes.
you are a great explainer dude
I also convince that Isaac Newton is incredible .
well-explained i understood even though i m in year 8
At 3:20 radius of moon> radius of earth??? please someone explain...
Idk😢
No…. Distance of the moon to the earth’s center and distance of Apple to the earth’s center
For earth it is "km" not "m"

I want to learn this animation vedio editing 🥴.... Plz some one tell me where and how to learn this.... Any app or class etcc what ever it is i have to learn .. plz
please, I can't understand, how is it possible, the earth speed course is more efficient than the moon course speed, yes, yes isn't, 🤔, but how, the moon still stood in the sky, please explain, 🌎🌙🚀🤔
if what you mean by this (cuz I have absolutely 0 clue of what you are saying, please improve your english) is ti ask why the moon doesnt fall to the earth the asnwer is because of the inertia or centrifugal force it has thanks to its orbit, as you know space is a frctionless surface so this keeps going forever. also what do you mean by "course speed"
Wow.Thanks a lot sir.What a great explanation. 😊
Very nice 👍👍👍👍👍
